Steigenberger Köln is an average business hotel. Disappointing. We expected more from the Steigenberger brand. Very noisy. A pity that there is no welness.

Great value for money. The hotel and room were very good. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

A decent hotel with a nice location. The gym has only two treadmills, one of which was broken. WiFi was so bad, that I was unable to use it for a voice conference call. On the other side, the room was quite big, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was just great.

Great location, walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in the city centre. Main lobby area was very nice and so were the rooms. The only minor issue in the room was that the bathroom door was in pretty rough condition on the inside due to water splashing from the shower. Wifi was pretty poor and we both ended up using mobile data the whole time we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast was good but I was hoping for a bit more variety, and the omelette chef was only present for a couple mornings out of our 6 night stay but it’s understandable because we stayed around Christmas. Great hotel for the price overall!

Our stay at Steigenberger Hotel Cologne was completely unacceptable. The air conditioning in our room was freezing and malfunctioning, despite numerous requests to reception. Staff gave us conflicting information, empty promises, and failed to coordinate or resolve the issue. This constitutes a clear breach of the services promised at booking. Under consumer rights and hotel service regulations, we demand an immediate full refund for this stay. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to escalate the matter through legal and consumer protection channels.

Dies stellt eine klare Verletzung der bei der Buchung zugesicherten Leistungen dar. Nach Verbraucherrechten und Hotelservice-Vorschriften fordern wir die sofortige vollständige Rückerstattung. Sollte dies nicht erfolgen, sehen wir uns gezwungen, rechtliche und verbraucherschutzrechtliche Schritte einzuleiten.

Had a lovely stay, the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. We requested a room close to the elevator and they gave us a spacious one just as we asked.
The location is fantastic, especially if you're visiting during the Christmas market season; everything is within walking distance.
The only downsides were the weak internet connection, so it’s better to have your own data plan if you rely on being online, and bed sheets are only changed upon request.
Overall, still a pleasant experience and would recommend for the location, helpful staff and lovely spacious rooms!

Top location, room is nicely clean and spacious with good views. Perfect for my business trip. Just the wait for check-in in the front desk takes too long and I arrived around 6 pm. Wish this could be improved.
