Wonderful place! The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was incredible! Location is down the hill from most shops but very walkable and we didn’t see any others closer. The difficulty is the drive getting to Seiffen. For us it was one hour of country roads one way and about an hour leaving heading to Erfurt. Well worth the visit. This hotel was wonderful and great value!

Rooms were clean. Staff was very nice. Stayed on a Sunday night, early October, had the saloon to ourselves. Very quiet and at the edge of town. Couldn’t log on to the wifi but had the data plan for my phone so I was able to survive :)

Superb location right in the middle of town. A historically significant building that is well-maintained. The staff are excellent. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. It is a very, very quiet place as there is no vehicular traffic anywhere near. Occasionally there are sounds of people having fun and laughing outside, which is a really pleasant sound. It was warm, cosy room. They put a bed story next to your bed. That was cute. The story relates to the name of the hotel. Wonderful!!! It is next to the central city Christmas market!!! Just ok You need to call to check in after 8pm. No parking at the hotel, you need to drag your bags to the street. Elevator is super small a slow- 2 guests with bags do not fit. One night was very loud outside. Window didn’t stay open to cool the room down. Mattress was old and hurt. Room was clean but bed very uncomfortable.

Very nice hotel with great rooms. The beds are your typical soft hotel beds but I like them. The breakfast buffet was nice and we got fresh coffee. It is excellent in terms of cleanliness and everything is well cleaned. I stayed for a total of two nights and when I entered the room the heater was off and the window was open and the room was very cold and also as usual in Germany the heater was turned off at night. So I spent the first night in a very cold room, and even the second night the room was still not well warm. I think it is better...

Good place for overnight stay during the trip. I recommend to visit old City center of Bautzen.

The location is very nice and calm. The beds aren't as comfortable for my liking, but for the nights I stayed there, they were definitely good. Just the WiFi didn't work as planned, but that's not much of a problem since I've been out a lot more than I stayed at the hotel. It's best to use the bus around Bautzen to go to the city and there's a bus stop 10 minutes away from the hotel.

Quiet, dated hotel that could use a refresh. We didn't eat there, I think because of the due to the low occupancy the kitchen was closed. We saw not even one other guest during our 2-night stay, only one helpful gentleman at reception when we arrived and departed. Our room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. Good acomodation in the middle of the city

Location of the hotel in city center is ok but there is no parking place if you arrive late, small rooms are newly furnished and tidy, unfortunately something wrong was in my bathroom - the smell was disgusting.

Having a bit more space in the bathroom would've been nice. Breakfast was good. Overall a good experience but for a longer (business) stay the bigger rooms are advised.

Great for kids, not so much for adults. The rooms are very large, there's a bathroom, and plenty of outdoor play areas and activities for children. But there's nothing for adults. What a fascinating property-a chance to sleep in a historic castle! The property has been well renovated: the rooms are large & have luxury features…..like heated bathroom floors!! The breakfast buffett was huge - I loved the festive tree-shaped scrambled egg molds. We loved exploring the common rooms & seeing all the historic furniture.

Our stay was great but room was hot not possible to leave Windows open, due to rain coming inside room. The area has things to offer for sightseeing but 1 full day would have been enough to explore anything near by.

Schloss Purschenstein has an excellent restaurant, with delicious food and generous portions, and a maitre d with a warm and jovial personality. We came here again after a year for our wedding anniversary and we were again very satisfied. Great value for the price.. Cherming castle atmosphere, beautiful room. There was almost empty wellness area and pool so we enjoyed it a lot. Also we had delicious dinner and breakfast and nice walk around the castle.

This is a charming place. We got the best room in the castle the suite and the room was big and beautiful. The whole castle is adorable. They have a sauna and pool then the big hall room where you have breakfast. Some of the staff was not friendly but the place was amazing. Highly recommended. We booked this hotel a year in advance as we know during Christmas market time is very busy and we requested a room with view of market on the 2nd floor. Where we had stayed once before and had fantastic views from every window in our room. We stay overnight and loved the room. Was corner room, big, clean and bright. However it was terrible cold when we arrived and even after few hours. We recommend to management to pre-heat the rooms during auch cold days to give some more comfort to customers.

Not cheap, but good... Great service, great ambience. But the price can't go up anymore... 2 pieces of sheet cake 7.80 euros... 1 beer, 1 wine, 2 bratwursts just under 25 euros. This means that the maximum price point has been reached. More sales can no longer be achieved by increasing the price. Because 5 euros for a piece of cake will no longer be affordable... We don‘t like chains and prefer a small family run hotel with German/regional character. Hotel Kreller is within easy walking distance of all this attractive city‘s attractions. A little old-fashioned, but clean and functional. The cobbled street makes the odd passing car noisy, but we slept well. The nice terrace at the back is shady and quiet. All staff faultless. Excellent steaks.

The staffs were very nice and helpful. The room was also very clean and comfy. Also the breakfast was very good. Main function as a hotel was all proper. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in Germany so far.

Very nice location for small to large events, from weddings to family celebrations, workshops, dance. Almost anything can take place here. The hotel rooms are tastefully and modernly furnished. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff is super nice and also adheres to the hygiene regulations.

If you value a special ambience and don't want to stay in the "08/15 Hotel", the Piesteritzer Hof is the right place for you! Beautifully located in a historic settlement about 10 minutes by bike from the center, a friendly and appealing room and, last but not least, friendly staff and a very committed, open and courteous boss. This clearly speaks for 5 out of 5 stars!

Spectacular location and an absolutely charming hotel. Room was massive and breakfast was great. Top tip - if you want to eat dinner at their restaurant (and you do - delicious) make sure to book in advance. Also, if you're considering just doing a day trip to Meissen instead, don't. Stay at least two nights. This town is spectacular.

Charming hotel and restaurant right in the heart of Meißen. Friendly service and a really nice room at a great price in the center of town. We had a great room overlooking the Markt and we were happy to find a place for 3 person occupancy which is not always easy to do in Germany.

We visited only the restaurant. It was great food, comforting service and really good prices. We paid for our 2 meals (haxn and Leberkäse) on haxnday below than 30€ for food and drinks 👌👌 Although nice was the scenery and that the waitresses were wearing Trachten.

Small, quiet hotel with a great breakfast. Only the bathroom is very small. But it is due to the architecture. The catering in the Rathaushotel is always great. The surcharge for dogs is quite high at 15 euros per night. It was definitely not the last stay. The staff is super friendly.
