Excellent hotel, spacious rooms, free parking. They have their own beer garden and a small playground for children. As the hotel is an old factory-style building built into a hillside, the hotel comes with some staircases and uphill walking before you arrive in your room. I have stayed in this hotel several times now and am always happy about the "certain" something in the ambience. The service is very good and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, so much so that I am always annoyed that I get full too quickly. Slight deductions for the rooms and bathrooms. What a fascinating property-a chance to sleep in a historic castle! The property has been well renovated: the rooms are large & have luxury features…..like heated bathroom floors!! The breakfast buffett was huge - I loved the festive tree-shaped scrambled egg molds. We loved exploring the common rooms & seeing all the historic furniture.

Our stay was great but room was hot not possible to leave Windows open, due to rain coming inside room. The area has things to offer for sightseeing but 1 full day would have been enough to explore anything near by.

We came here again after a year for our wedding anniversary and we were again very satisfied. Great value for the price.. Cherming castle atmosphere, beautiful room. There was almost empty wellness area and pool so we enjoyed it a lot. Also we had delicious dinner and breakfast and nice walk around the castle.

The beds were very uncomfortable - you could feel the springs and the breakfasts were meagre every time we were there. Runny eggs and out of a lot of things. Not returning. Staff were all ok.

My stay was nice, the staff was kind and professional, they granted all my requests easly. The room was clean and cozy but somewhat crowded with the furniture design and a fridge and a water heater is needed in the room. Overall it was a nice stay.

What a gem in Zittau! Nice comfortable rooms in a modernized old building within old town of Zittau. Breakfast was really generous and fresh and was served in a cozy and bright room. We would definitely come again.

Had a great short stay here. Very friendly lady working at the front desk. Area was very peaceful and quiet (came in the summer). Hotel is close to both the lift/rodelbahn/other activities and also close to town which has some great restaurants. I liked that the hotel here had a 24/7 place by the front desk to get snacks and drinks. Room was very nice and clean. I would definitely come back here

The rooms were all clean and we gad a beautiful view to the mountains. The workers were all friendly towards us and I didn’t felt alienated at all. My Highlight was that you could have free ski equipment and the mountans were right next to the hotel. I only hope that they’ll have dinner too some day (:

Location is great, in front of ski lifts. Accommodations are not up to par of prices charged, bathroom tub extremely slippery and dangerous, limited toiletries are given (one small soap for a room with 4 people?).

We're fairly experienced travelers in Germany, and the Hexenhaus now ranks as our favorite all time Pension. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and sunny. The garden setting was relaxing. The breakfasts offered a wide, tasty selection--and were remarkably inexpensive. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the Pension itself was quite convenient to main roads into the city.

Very nice hotel. This is a freshly renovated hotel with a modern and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is fantastic, the room is comfortable, and everything is very clean. The location in Freiberg is highly attractive and convenient. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is slow or has limited speed, which is quite common in Germany.
