I stayed there several times as a solo traveler and everything was perfect for me. The staff was friendly and competent, the room was clean and quiet, the breakfast selection was very ample and varied, and the price-performance ratio was excellent! 👍

Okay stay during cooler months The hotel was close to station and tram stop, so easy to get around. Good variety of breakfast. Clean and spacious room. Very good place to stay. Lady at reception was very nice and helpful. And room was better than expected. Large, clean and well equipped. Only old style key isn't very practical, but rest than that all was great. And very good breakfast. Definetly would stay again once come back to Dresden.

Great short stay Great location and amenable service

Incredibly quiet, despite being in the heart of the city. The bathroom is brand new, and the kitchenette is very practical. The heating is very good even when it's below zero outside. Easy to find – tram number 12 from the main station – the stop is called Lessingstraße. Reception could be friendlier. Everything from very friendly to the opposite. Highly recommended nonetheless.

Room and staff were great! We loved the airco in the room and the breakfast particularly. When we booked, we paid almost 120 euro per night. However, during our stay the price was about half of that. Hotel with nice view to Elbe My stay was nice without any problem. Hotel is located a bit far from evening attraction but provides ferry tickets for each day in order to get to the other side of Elba river and Bad Schandau.

I was in the restaurant for dinner, unannounced and very pleasantly surprised. The customer service was excellent and the menu varied with a regional accent. There is something for every taste. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and the restaurant is recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Star G. I can only imagine what it must look like during Christmas market season, but it was still lovely looking out over the square with the beautiful church bells nearby. In our opinion this is not a 4 star hotel. There are services and elements which is generally associated with a 4 star hotel such as room service, mini bar and air condition. But the rooms are definitely nothing more than standard. The furniture is old looking although the carpet appears to be reasonably new. Beautiful renovated castle hidden in the middle of nowhere. Transpiring hundreds of years of history in a very quiet and serene setting in the green. We had a delicious gourmet dinner that could easily have been served in a top Parisian restaurant.

Price - performance with rice rgutschein fits. Staff is friendly, room and bathroom clean.With the S-Bahn, bus stop directly in front of the Hotel one is fast in the city center. At about 30 degrees in the non air-conditioned rooms it is not relaxed, unfortunately, since all of 10 minutes keeps the train on the main arterial road.

Great breakfast but noisy We loved our trip to Wittenburg which was a beautiful little town on the Elbe. This hotel was conveniently located, and the breakfast was great. I would probably stay somewhere else next time, only because the rooms were small and it was noisy next to the train tracks and main road and people would stand outside talking and smoking so it was hard to sleep with the window open

The staff was helpful but the hotel never left the 80's. Of real concern was a fire alarm on our first night there, total confusion and the fire department never did arrive. It's a good hotel for a night or two but it appears to be mostly for transient workers now. Again the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We ended up here by coincidence when we were passing through. Booked a family room and everything was amazing, the dinner, the breakfast, the room! Nice hotel in a perfect environment for a hiking vacation with a confortable stay (+sauna!). The staff was nice and accomodating.

We attended the Christmas night ballroom dance and had a lovely time. The ballroom is beautiful and has a really nice floor. The music was good. We discovered dance by chance and went because we were staying nearby. We will be going back next Christmas. Update we have been coming every year for the dance except during covid.

food was average but I give 4 stars mainly because of waiters which were generally quite nice and normal. I found it to be an exception in the area of Sachsische Schweiz

Very nice place to stay after we rode our motorbikes from Krakow. We had no problems booking the room for four guys. Two rooms within one, quite unusual but fitted the bill perfectly. Very clean and tidy. I would recommend it to anyone who is traveling wanting an hotel.
