The hotel's location is perhaps a bit awkward—near the railway tracks—and it followed us into the night, even though we were on the fourth floor. We had the large tower room there; it's quite funny when you go up there, but the view from up there is fantastic! The room was very clean and tidy, even though the hotel seems to be from another era. The investment in the ambiance also stood out! Very pleasant...

This hotel is very good for the money you pay. No loud disco in October. It was very quiet. Furniture is older, bed was ok and clean, carpet was new. Breakfast was average for 10 Euro. Tram nb 7 just across the street will take you to the centre in 15min. Easy enough. Things to improve : very poor light in the bathroom and only 3 analog channels on TV.

The hotel is nice,clean and well connected to the city centre,is good for brief travels.

Went to Leipzig to watch a game. The hotel's location is average, a bit far from the city center, but quite close to the stadium, just 3 tram stops away. The hotel environment is average, and the trash cans are not cleaned. The hotel has a parking lot, which is very convenient. It's 7 euros a night. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still acceptable.

I didn`t like that the Lift was not worked.

This is a nice, clean, professional, and affordable hotel with an attached restaurant and bar. There are many beautiful art works throughout the building and in the rooms. American travelers should know this is an older building and your room probably won't have A/C, but will have a fan. Shower water can be as hot or cold as you'd like. Pretty basic, cost effective and decent hotel in Leipzig. Within walking/tram distance of the city centre. The direct surroundings are a bit less inspiring, but the hotel itself is okay and has a friendly staff and proper German breakfast buffet.

The place is alright and not too pricey, the hotel and rooms are obviously rather old. The rooms are rather small, the beds a bit worn and not really comfortable, somewhat natural given the age. Everything is cleanly. The WiFi does not comply with current security standards. The breakfast is quite ok for the price. The surrounding area has a lot of oriental food options, but little more.

This is a review of the property as an art gallery. Focusing on Leipzig School works, and spread over the hallways of the five floors of the hotel, the Leipziger Hof gallery is quite enjoyable. It can be visited any day between 10a and 8p. Plan between 30 and 45 minutes. Particular highlights include a Mattheuer and a Tuebke.

Rooms looked nice but in every corner were spider's webs. I counted 5 spiders - 2 of them were walking on bed (on different days). I hate spiders, so it was terrible for me and I couldn't sleep. Unfortunately... :( This was the worst thing in my opinion. Besides that the hotel was OK and the service was nice and helpful.

I'll only report on Brasserie Triangle. Very good service, friendly. Meals don't take too long, prices are moderate. I am now a regular, and also welcome with a dog.

We stayed there with a group of 12 in April 2019 for 3 nights. The staff was extreme friendly and helpful , rooms were very clean, food was delicious. The Hotel is about 6 km away from Wittenberg in a nice quite area. We would book anytime again. Tanks to the friendly team

Boutique Hotel Schwarzer Baer is in a convenient location, right in the middle of town. Our room was clean and well updated. The only complaint was the water pressure. The value of the hotel is excellent! Parking is available on site at a minimal fee. They serve a good breakfast.

I was here on a business trip working at the Leipziger Messe arena, which is an easy 20min walk away. I'm not sure why else you would stay here because the area is extremely barren. However, for that specific purpose, the hotel is in a location. The only shop in nearby area is petrol station across the road. The one restaurant downstairs by the hotel lobby was good. The Hotel is dated but clean and well priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is plentiful and only $2 per night. The Greek restaurant in the Hotel is very good. If your getting in late expect a good meal there.

Yes! Good value for money! Simple, clean, somewhat worn rooms with no elevator or refrigerator, but a proper wardrobe and two chairs. Easily accessible by two- or four-wheeler, within walking distance of town. Rustic meat-based cuisine, but vegetarians are very well catered for with a "request concert." SUPER for little money!

The property did not have AC which I wasn't aware of, It was hot while we were there and could have used AC. Breakfast was good. I feel like the parking was misrepresented. The rooms are worn out. The carpets are old. The beds are only made briefly every two days, nothing else.

Ground-floor rooms are a bit pokey since the front door is the only window. And "balcony" means a table in a shared courtyard - no privacy and the restaurant terrace is noisy. Receptionist is a minimalist with better things to do.

This hotel is very central, a mere 10 minute walk to the Harz Schmalspurbah /DB railway station. There is secure parking 100m away which is charged. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent with wide and varied choice. Certainly worth considering when staying in Wernigerode and I’d definitely return.

We came down this way from Lilienstein. After the Hike up and than back down we needed a Beer and some Food. We decided to have the Potato Soup. It was very good. Wonderful place! The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was incredible! Location is down the hill from most shops but very walkable and we didn’t see any others closer. The difficulty is the drive getting to Seiffen. For us it was one hour of country roads one way and about an hour leaving heading to Erfurt. Well worth the visit. This hotel was wonderful and great value!

This is unique lodging, where the famous painter Lucas Cranach, lived and had his workshop in the time of Martin Luther.
