The staff are helpful. Almost everyone spoke English (not that I expected, but it was nice not to use a translation app). They asked me a few questions about why we were there and told us the easiest and cheapest way to get there. When our train departed late, they allowed a late checkout for a fee. They even helped when my taxi fell through and got us to the train station with plenty of time to spare...

We stayed in the annex which was very lovely and quiet. It was nice that there was a coffee machine in the lobby, however, it ran out of water (for tea) Sunday evening, so there was no coffee available Monday morning until 8. The location of the hotel is good. The room is large and the bed huge, and very comfortable, although I would rather have had 2 single beds as was travelling with my son. The bed only had one pillow and one single duvet despite the booking was for 2 people. We found another pillow and duvet in the wardrobe but I do feel the room should have been set up for 2 people. The free drinks in the fridge...

The location of the hotel is excellent, but the rooms had a bad odor. While the rooms themselves are spacious and nicely appointed, the unpleasant smell detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, check-in was problematic, as our room wasn't ready until 4:30 PM. On the other hand, they are strict about check-out times and charged extra for an additional hour.

We had a very good time, price was really good compared to other hotels oder airbnbs by the time. Room was kinda oldschool, but clean and nice. Would recommend. They even had a fitness room and wellness, plus a pool table in the lobby.

Good spacious room, but the reception is only opened from 14:30 to 22:00, the lady came late (15:10) and there was a huge line to check in. It took 20min to check in when we were waiting since 13:30 at the lobby

The parking is guarded, which is very important.

We had a three roomed suite. The room was above my expectation with plenty of space for two motorcyclists and all their touring gear. Enough that 2 motorcyclists had room to move around and hang wet gear out of the way. The beds were comfy though I do think quite a few hotels in Europe, including this one, struggle with the concept of two separate beds as opposed to two separated beds for two unrelated...

Amazing hotel nested in a lost little town. Food is very good, service and cleanliness paramount and simplicity is the main ornament!

I was here on business trip and I have to say lunch was phenomenal especially deserts!, as for rooms they are very simple, nothing fancy, clean and quite. My one problem was the wifi which kept disconnecting and the mobile network also switches back and forth to Czech networks, so overall internet was kind of a hustle for me.

Friendly staff and they speak good english, they answered all my question with 200% patience. Very child friendly place, spacious dining area can accommodate group dining. Clean room, even though it is winter, the room is warm.

Very good rooms, especially the family room we booked, it was big and had everything including a huge TV you'd have at home towards both beds. Super happy of our stay. The breakfast was also good.

This is a hotel with very nice and helpful staff, very nice, airy and nice rooms. The gym is great Dinner and breakfast were good and it was nice to send a thank you to the chefs. In other words, a fantastic hotel with charm. We will be happy to come back

Fair price for a satisfactory stay Stay and price match each other nicely. We were on our way back from Austria and in that connection the hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. Air conditioning was a bit lacking, but on the other hand the breakfast was quite nice

Hello, I would like to tell you a little about my experience at this hotel. Spacious rooms and cleaned daily as they should be, friendly staff in any problem you may have, breakfast more than enough even for the picky eaters, the restaurant has many very friendly waiters who also know English. I recommend staying at this hotel to anyone passing through this area.

It was a nice experience. Room I availed is fair to the cost I paid. Been here for 3-5 times. Breakfast buffet is also good. No issue with parking space. Receptionist are also friendly.

Very nice and clean hotel in a decent part of the town, with a train station and street car stop both less than a 10 minute walk away. Also, the staff here are the best. I accidentally left some clothes behind without realizing when I left the hotel, and they helped me by shipping them back to my address in the US (and the shipping price was not that terrible) !

I had a pleasant stay in a spacious room with an amazing breakfast and great service. However, one area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the rooms. In the room we stayed in, there were some dusty spots that could use more attention. Overall, it was a nice experience, but enhancing the cleaning efforts would make it even better.

Good and really friendly staff

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy to walk to the tram stop to go into the city or out to the airport.

The room was perfectly fine. The lady at the reception was actually off duty, saw me, and checked me in. At the last minute. Thank you so much for that. Everything else worked. Great snack machine for the evening. Parking for a Sprinter van or van is a bit tricky.

It was convenient to access because it was right next to the Luther Museum, and breakfast was all necessary, and it was convenient to use the facility.

The breakfast was excellent. The location is convenient to the train station and to explore the old town. The bed was not very comfortable.

Sadly, the shower was full of black mold which there is no excuse for as may products will remove it.

The beds were very uncomfortable - you could feel the springs and the breakfasts were meagre every time we were there. Runny eggs and out of a lot of things. Not returning. Staff were all ok.

My stay was nice, the staff was kind and professional, they granted all my requests easly. The room was clean and cozy but somewhat crowded with the furniture design and a fridge and a water heater is needed in the room. Overall it was a nice stay.

I was on 6th floor and room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Water pressure and bathroom was excellent! Breakfast was high quality and variety and all staff were competent and friendly. I have no idea where the negative reviews come from. Did we stay in different hotels? I stayed for 3 nights. Another good part of location is that Hauptbahnoff/train station has a full mall on two basement floors...

AC malfunction during our stay, unfortunately. Sleepig by open windows is not an ideal solution when the room is looking at the Leipzig Hbf. Trams and traffic all the night. The hotel personnel kindly arranged moving to a small room on the yard side, where we could have a better sleep.

I m quite surprised, I have to be honest. The hotel is as convenient for early flights as it is for exploring the city. Just opposite the transit station, 5 min walking away from the historic center. Public parking 2-3 minutes away from the hotel for 7€ per day. Clean rooms, comfortable bed. We were in a studio which was pretty enough for 3 people. The restaurant is either understaffed or the staff in place is really inefficient... Started when we arrived, we waited for about 10 minutes standing in the doorway. It seems that to make a 90s show of a flamed meat was more important than taking 15 seconds to send us to a table... Each time some new customer arrived it was a drama, with waiter rolling their eyes and acting like it would be impossible...

On Tuesday evening, there was no menu to choose from. Instead, they offered a grill buffet for €37.50, which I declined.

The room, including the vestibule with wardrobe and adjoining bathroom, was surprisingly spacious. Everything you need is there (fridge, kettle, tea/coffee selection, free bottle of water). The furnishings are perhaps a bit dated in style, but everything is clean. The bathroom, with its huge mirror and double sink, was also clean, although limescale had left some marks in the hard-to-reach corners...

The room was clean, the furniture was well-maintained, and the hotel was in a wonderful, quiet location. The bar area was inviting and very cozy. All in all, I felt very comfortable in the hotel. Very good value for money. A smile from the receptionist would have further rounded out the hotel's positive image.

It was not the best stay e ever have had. The staff in the reception was not friendly - it was not possible to eat in the restaurant - and it was very difficult to park the car.

Far from the centre, no air conditioning in the rooms. There is a fan. The vicinity of the hotel is quiet, there is a park nearby, but there are too many mosquitoes because they do not leave them alone. I think I coincided with the season.

The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, but the bathroom was not. The location is okay, with markets just around the corner and easy access from the central train station.

The hotel has very friendly and service-oriented staff. The reception was always staffed. At night, you can enter with a key card. The room was clean and a good size.

The hotel is in a good location, the decoration style is very good, with a more industrial style design. It is close to the commercial district next door and it is very convenient for eating and shopping. I will choose this hotel next time in Leipzig

I had stayed for 2 week in room with Kitchen. There is a seperated bed room, living room and kitchen. Rooms look newly furnished. Washroom is having heating arrangement and bathtub. Kitchen is not having microwave oven and toster. Supermarket are very near and bus stop is just bellow hotel. Also city center and beautiful attractions 5-10 mins away.

Superior room was ideal for a few days as it’s nicely renovated and decorated. 20-30 walk to main attractions and some good value restaurants and supermarket close by. Bonus parking too.

Not exactly altstadt, but rather a 15 minute walk from the main attractions. Still, very good location. The hotel bar is nice, and the staff is friendly. No laundry facilities despite what is mentioned on Hotels.com

We did not get the room, which I ordered. It is not very comfortable, when you travel with 3 kids and you expect some service, for example kitchenete at the room. But at least we saved some money.

Breakfast was served from 7 until 11. Parking nearby without extra cost was possible. The receptionist gave us two cartons of water for free when we checked out.

Everything was great, the only thing I didn't like was that we went for a walk and when we returned we had to wait a long time with other guests for them to open the door for us because the receptionist was doing his rounds, and it was winter and nighttime

The location for short term visit was ok, not the best,but manageable. The staf was nice, but they don't sent the invoice by mail even they promise to do that. Please ask for paper copy when paid. Hotel is old an look like 70's, but the rooms seems to be renovated after that. It is normal IBIS quality and the garage was nice plus.

Hotel Amber is situated in an industrial park and is mostly visited bij business people. It serves An outstanding breakfast but the rooms nead an upgrade.
