Cactus Royal Resort & Spa in Stalis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Cactus. The staff were friendly and efficient. We were a bit bemused by the bell boy who insisted on taking our bags a few yards to our room and would not go until we gave him a tip. It was like a 70's sitcom. We ended up giving a larger than normal tip as we did not have any smaller notes. There was a lovely water channel outside our room and a water station nearby which was useful. The toiletries were very nice and we also had a free mini bar. The hotel is very clean and the grounds well maintained. The food was a very high quality and the cakes etc beautifully presented. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant. There was a Dr there 6 days a week. We were less impressed with the Spa. The indoor pool was very cold and you had to wear shoes and dry yourself between being in the pool and going to the steam room etc. as well as having a shower in between also. It was very strict and not relaxed. We went with TUI and there was no welcome meeting. We spoke to some German representatives who were not that helpful or pleasant. The times for our reps visits were wrong and when we did meet her she could not answer any of our questions.

Very close to beach foods good no bottles water have to fill the one plastic bottle provided and keep it supposed the glass tone according to info in room!
Pools nice hotel is a bit dated but all in all it's fine.

Had a wonderful stay here with friends in September. Weather was fantastic, staff helpful & friendly. Food was excellent and the a la carte restaurants were the best ones we've ever experienced in any all-inclusive hotels we've stayed in. Service was excellent and special mention to Kostas at La Strada and the drinks waitress (sorry I didn't get your name) at The Steak Restaurant. We had a lovely welcome bowl of fruit and tray of fresh pastries in our room on arrival (special anniversary) . Konstantino delivered excellent customer service at the Coffee snack bar on-site , the lunch time food here is well worth a try and makes a nice change from going to the main restaurant for lunch. The pools are good, we always opted for the middle sized one as was quieter and easier to get into for someone with mobility issues. The gym and indoor pool were also good although you would struggle with the steps if you have mobility issues. The jacuzzi wasn't working the whole time we were there which was disappointing. The spa is lovely with friendly and informative staff. Special mention to Anja for a lovely massage. We booked the excursion to Spinalonga through Tui but afterwards saw the same trip advertised outside oof the hotel a lot cheaper so something you should look into. Our guide Poppy, was so good, really knowledgeable and didn't rush us at all so we saw everything we needed to see. After visiting the island we had lunch at a harbour side restaurant in Elounda which was excellent and was included in the cost of the trip. Stopped on the way back at Agios Nikolaos which gave us plenty of time to look around the many shops or have a drink by the water. The train along the coast is worth a go and you can either stay on for the hour and a half of hop off and get back on the next one. Now unfortunately for the negatives. Whilst all the info stated that you couldn't reserve sun-beds, everyone did so therefore you had to follow suit otherwise you wouldn't have got one. Pina Coladas weren't part of the all inclusive drinks which was surprising so if you wanted one you had to pay - one of my reasons for downgrading the 5 star grading. We felt the hotel location description was misleading as the beach wasn't in front of the hotel and to get to it you had to cross a road and meander through the many beach restaurants (which by the way looked lovely) and numerous sun beds. The beach was packed so just getting down to the water was an obstacle course. We were disappointed that, whilst you have a Tui rep on the app if required, there was very limited presence in the hotel. When we did see one, to receive our intro chat, she was covering for someone so couldn't answer most of the questions we had about things in the local area. The wi-fi was awful with none at all by the pool area or anywhere in fact except in your room or the restaurant. We had 2 TVs in our room but no English channels so whilst we weren't too bothered as were rarely in our room. our friends wer

Thanks to Anja, I enjoyed a wonderful morning of relaxation and luxury. The lava face treatment left my face feeling very soft and the full body mud mask was very nice as well. I highly recommend this in addition to your stay

I cannot praise this hotel enough, everything is fantastic, the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, check in was simple, room spotless, food fantastic and the deserts are to die for, pool is great, grounds are beautiful we cannot wait to return

We had the most wonderful time at Cactus Royal & Spa – a place we truly want to return to. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and offers a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and recharge. Luxury and The food was absolutely delicious – always fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. Evening entertainment, such as live concerts, added a special charm to our stay. We spent every evening at the bar, which quickly became one of our favorite spots. The drinks were excellent, creative, and always perfectly prepared. But what made the bar truly special were Stella and Manos – absolutely fantastic and brilliant. Their kindness, professionalism, and warm energy made every evening unforgettable. Thanks to them, we had the best time – laughing, talking, and sometimes simply enjoying a cocktail while reading our books. They created an atmosphere that felt both welcoming and magical. A very special thank you also goes to the amazing spa team – the quality of treatments was outstanding, and their professionalism and kindness made us feel deeply cared for. My stay at Royal Cactus Resort/ Spa was incredible. The hotel is very clean and tidy. Room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. Staff at the Spa were very professional and friendly. In particular: Anyjia at the Spa very professional and very good service from her! Cuisine in restaurants in the hotel exquisite. I would certainly stay at the hotel again!

I had a Great massage by the kind terapsis names Aniya. She was kind and friendly and very professional. Very recommended!
