Residenza Vranas Boutique Hotel in Chania Town

This was one of the most charming, beautiful boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. Veronika went out of her way to help me get my suitcases up and down the steep stairs, gave me great local advice for food and adventure, and was super professional, polite, and friendly. The view from my room was exceptional. The only drawback was the noise level. I would stay there again. If you stay there, you must eat at Tamam - about a half block from Vranas!

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is really nice, very clean, and has excellent views (it's in a perfect location). Even better was the staff - everyone was super friendly, especially Veronika at the front desk. Hope to visit again soon!

Our family’s first time in Chania, Crete & this was the perfect place to stay. George the hotel manager was very accommodating & helpful. The entire staff were so nice & kind. The place was amazing. We had the 2 bedroom suite with the view of the old harbor & lighthouse over the Aegean sea. It’s just so relaxing just sitting by the living room area watching both the sunrise & sunset. The breakfast was delicious!
The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the old harbor. Everything is walking distance. It is surrounded by shops & restaurants. We really loved & enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely come back here. We highly recommend this place.

Varnas Residenza was perfect for our family of four (two adult daughters). They have only four rooms, so they know who their guests are and treat them very well! The location is in the heart of it all, with views overlooking Chania's Old Venetian Harbour. Breakfast was delivered every day and was fantastic! Our driver from the airport to Varnas Residenza told us we were staying at the best place, but it had one problem—we would not want to leave. He was correct. It was absolutely amazing. All that said, there are a few things people need to know before booking just to make sure Varnas Residenza is a good fit for your needs. First, if you want quiet, off the beaten path, this is not it. This is for people who want to be where the activity is. (Although in the center of the activity, we should note that the walls are thick and we went to bed around 10:00 every night and were never disturbed by noise). Second, if you have issues with stairs, this may not be the place for you. Finally, if you are considering the penthouse, which we highly recommend, you should be aware that the upstairs bedroom has some very low ceiling areas. If you are tall and not always alert to your surroundings, you will bump your head.

Stunning location.
Nice staff in the moment, however, non responsive via email and phone after check out.
The Jacuzzi did not work, we didn’t find this out until 1 am.
The downstairs shower leaked badly on the entire bathroom floor almost flooding the bath room.
There was a couple of other aspects that were what I would call sub standard, cracked windows and missing blanking plates on electrical sockets.

Salt pepper and olive oil would have been a nice addition to as well as washing up liquid and a cloth.
I did email and send WhatsApp messages to the manager, with no reply.

The view from the balcony is beautiful and other than the things I mentioned it’s quite nice, hopefully the management can address the issues to provide a better service for future guests

Our stay at Residenza Vranas Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views of the Venetian harbor and the elegant charm of the suite. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately clean—with high ceilings, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches throughout.

The sunset view from the balcony was absolutely magical—one of the best we’ve ever seen. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Chania’s Old Town, yet peaceful and quiet once inside.

The staff was incredibly warm, professional, and helpful with local recommendations and anything we needed. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and served in-room, which felt so personal and luxurious.

We absolutely loved our stay at Residenza Vranas! The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable — it felt more like a chic apartment than a hotel room. The room was immaculate and very spacious. The experience was incredible; one of a kind hotel. The breakfast provided was lovely, with lots of flexibility, and the host was very helpful to provide guidance on the best restaurants in the area to eat at in the evenings.
This hotel is in an absolutely stunning location, and the room we used included an indoor pool for relaxing out of the summer heat. The whole experience was amazing; 10/10, would happily stay again.
