Contessa Boutique Hotel in Chania Town

Nice view on the harbor, excellent service, central but quiet, parking tricky as everywhere in the historic centre, but that's solvable in an acceptable timeframe

The Contessa hotel is perfectly located! It's 1 min from the port. Close to the buss station if switching cities. The room is cute and comfortable.

We were two women staying for just one night. We parked closeby and walked to Greco hotel and were received by Anna. The check in was easy and she walked us over to the Boutique hotel. Our key card didn't work, so we had to have her come back and fix that for us but it was easy.

Our room was stunning. TALL hand painted ceilings, tall windows, a large bed, armoir, fridge, safe, desk, and large bathroom. There were robes and slippers, mood lighting - whatever you want. The bathroom was really nice. The shower is spacious, with warm water and good pressure. The toilette is private. The vanity is large enough for two women to get ready. Plenty of hooks for hanging things. The bed was large and comfortable and its so nice to look up at the beautiful ceiling.

The lobby of the hotel is also very cute. Its got a little bar, a lounge and a gallery. HOWEVER! The front door SLAMS shut - as its an old wooden door with no special mechanics. So the entire room would shake whenever someone went in our out. Also, the wooden stairs are antique, and you can hear when people go up and down them in a noisy manner. These things could be adjusted easily with the right care.

The staff upgraded us to a room with a view for no extra charge (thank you!!). This was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our time in Greece. Beautifully renovated, clean, and within walking distance to the harbor. We wished we could’ve stayed longer!

The staff is extremely helpful! Everything was taken care of. I had to switch rooms in middle of my stay as I extended my trip and they moved my stuff from one room to another while I was out so it was a seamless transition. Location is absolutely perfect.

Rooms are decent. Comfortable bed. Clean. Nice shower. Everything you need is there!

Nice place off the beaten path!
My stay here was amazing! Super quiet and off the main walk way. Only piece of advice if you are going to stay here....you have to be in the room to charge your devices. The room key needs to be inserted into a slot near the door to activate the electricity. So, when you leave the room you must take the key card with you which will in turn deactivate the electricity. You might want to ask the front desk for two key cards to get around this.

My wife and I stayed here for three days and had a wonderful time. The hotel is quiet, well renovated, and very comfortable. The room was quite large (especially for Europe). The hotel is centrally located in the Old Harbour, minutes away from the best restaurants and shops. Be sure to get a room with a sea view!

Where can they improve? Not the best WiFi, but works okay.
