Breakfast was buffet style and had a good selection of both savoury and sweet dishes. Staff were lovely and very helpful
Enjoyed our 4 day stay very much. Excellent location few minutes walk from shops, restaurants and accessible walk into Chania centre/ port. Plenty of shops and cute lanes, and places to eat / drink
The team recommend great restaurants where local people eat, that means the best places
Staff helpful and friendly especially interacted with Maria, Ivangelos and Nondas. Breakfast fresh and adequate selection for us. Helpful friendly lady on duty. Small balcony with seating and drier rack for clothes
The whole team, from receptionist and cleaners to management, they are very friendly and helpful. They offer toiletry produced locally. It was so go that we found the brand shop and bought some to take home
Bus garage next door takes you to various places and airport cheaply. Eg we went on lovely day trip to Rethymonos Room is medium sized , clean and comfy. Bed little soft for our liking
Chania Town, Theotokopoulou 54 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Property is located in an excellent location
No elevator and we needed to walk up two flights of stairs that were steep
Location is the best if you like to experience living in the old town experience
A charming hotel, located in the old town part of Chania. It is in a relatively quieter part of the town, just far enough away from the main waterfront and all the lights and the hustle and bustle
Cars are not allowed on the street and you are dropped off at the foot of the hill and you will have to roll your bags up about a 100 feet. The slope is gradual Would return to this place again
A Greek breakfast is provided and the food is fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special call out to Ria at the front desk and Maria who takes care of the breakfast
The staff are amazing and made us feel at home. Our room was on the ground floor but was still quiet, despite having a window that was facing the street
Beautifull, stunning room, exceptional.
Location excellent.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast amazing. Chefs so friendly and warm.
Recommemded for any traveller.
The real Greece experience.
10/10
Loved it.
The whole experience was amazing from the room to the staff to the breakfast The location was great roof deck a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend this hotel highly
This very cozy hotel in the Center town of Chania is spectacular. The rooms a excellent, the breakfast is fantastic and the location is very good but the best is the attention to the guest from all reception staff
This is a GREAT property, staff was very welcoming and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Chania, select a room with a balcony…that was the perfect beginning of every day
I found the breakfast to be very satisfying with ample options for everyone. The room was in great condition considering the age of the original structure
Cool boutique hotel. Our rooms overlooked the water and was close to lots of activities. Hotel was friendly, helpful, and well managed.

We had an issue with our shower and when I told the person at the front desk, she was on the phone to have it fixed before I walked away (it was fixed very quicky). Excellent hotel in a great part of town
Would stay again! Great hotel large lovely room, comfortable beds and beautiful view from deck. Really Good complementary breakfast lots of selection
I also enjoyed the spa — the Swedish massage I tried was incredibly relaxing. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to everything, making it easy to explore the area
Truly one of the best hotel experiences I've had—can't wait to return!
Everything was amazing ! I highly recommend this hotel and will be my first choice next time I visit Chania again.
Very good and delicious breakfast! Maple syrup fromCanada for pancakes. bacon , eggs , excellent presentation. Spiritual setting, very peaceful and beautiful place.

Our go-to hotel for stays in Chania; well maintained hotel with comfortable clean rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast service with eggs etc cooked to order as well as an excellent cold buffet selection.
And the onsite restaurant offers some of the best homemade dolmades we’ve ever had. Next time we will try the made-to-order galaktobouriko. An added bonus is their onsite parking. I highly recommend this hotel
The Hotel Porto Veneziano is by far one of the best locations for Chania. The view from our 3rd floor balcony was amazing. Perfect for a glass of wine and the view in the evening
Spectacular location — close to everything with excellent service! The only downsides were that the room was very small (barely enough space for two medium-sized suitcases) and that the à la carte breakfast was charged separately, with prices not listed on the menu
Always an awesome stay! This is our go-to hotel in Chania. The rooms are quiet and spotless. The staff from the front desk to dining room to housekeeping are always professional and friendly
It is easy walking distance to interesting areas of this beautiful town. The staff goes over and above to please the visitors. Friendly bar tender and the included breakfast was delicious

- Slow WiFi
- Parking: limited spots in their parking lot, street parking was difficult and confusing, we came back to 4 parking tickets on our windshield
Positives:
+ Hotel is beautiful and centrally located
+ Excellent free breakfast
+ Staff is friendly and helpful
+ Rooms are clean and pretty
+ Rooms had small private balconies
Beautiful hotel in the city center, walking distance to the old town which is filled with restaurants and shopping spots, across the street from an amazing coffee shop, kind staff, clean and felt safe! Around 10 parking spots in the underground lot first come first serve otherwise parking free on hotel street ! Breakfast had good variety of options! Would recommend !
Located centrally, this hotel is stunning. Parking can be a bit tricky if you are used to North American style car garages, but nothing we couldn’t deal with. Breakfast was incredible as well.
The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast was good, and we really liked the lovely inner terrace – it’s a nice spot to eat and relax. The rooms were very clean, though a bit small, but cozy
Possible to park your car in the parking of the hotel. Last but not least, a very welcoming stuff, specially Elena who helped us a lot and gave us good advices for visiting
We've been there for 2 nights around mid September. Beautiful hotel and confortable rooms with excellent breakfast. Located less than 10 min walking from the old harbourd
Chania Town, Sali Helidonaki 12 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
That is not to say that the rooms are dated, on the contrary, there is the latest air conditioning units, Nespresso coffee machines, a small fridge, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and wonderful modern showers …
We absolutely loved our stay at Captain Vasilis Hotel in Chania Old Town! The room with a balcony was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had a stunning view of the harbor
Beautiful views and close to everything but set back enough (although depending on the wind you’ll hear the late-night bars across the harbour). Vasilis is very laid back and gave us some good recs
Excellent experience, we enjoyed so much the location as well as the amazing service in Captain Vasilis. And the room was so pretty! Definitely recommend
Excellent hotel run by the owner. He did everything and made our stay enjoyable, Vasilis provided great recommendations for where to visit and eat
Very authentic small hotel inside the old town and on a quiet street. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The owner Vasilis was friendly and kind Person. Breafkast made fresh every morning from local products

The hotel is in the very pleasant Nea Chora district of Chania which has excellent restaurants as well as some very good bakeries and places that serve good quality souvlaki and gyros
The staff in the hotel were lovely and so helpful. As well as the superb beach, the outdoor swimming pool was excellent and very well maintained
This hotel was a little above our normal budget but well worth it - we had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel (which is on seafront in Nea Chora) is about a twenty minute walk from the old town and the Venetian port
There’s also a bus stop a few hundred metres from the hotel that has quite frequent buses that go to the outskirts of the old town and to many other locations
Christiana Beach Hotel is located in a good area. We generally prefer to stay in a hotel on the beach, but a close enough to restaurants, shops and a 10-15 walk to the town centre
We stayed here 23 - 30 May 2025 on the second week of our holiday in Crete. A wonderful hotel in Nea Chora, Chania, right next to a beautiful beach
Excellent hotel, great location, super clean and comfort, AMAZING staff highly recommended !!!
And most of all , the staff are so nice and friendly. I’d like to thank Areti, who helped me find my lost E-Reader at a dessert shop nearby after I checked out and left the city. She helped me find it and kept it for me
I realize that a lot of hotels in Greece have rainfall showers which could be a good or bad thing depending on the person, but you did have the option to change to a hand held shower so that’s good
Elia Bettolo Hotel is in an ideal location in the Old Town of Chania. It's walking distance from the bus station, Maritime Museum, the Old Lighthouse, and tons of restaurants
The front of house staff where excellent always helpful with with anything I needed and the excursions they booked for me where amazing and informative
I would highly recommend everyone who comes to Chania stays in Elia Hotel. it’s located at the center of the old town and close to everything. The room is spacious, nice and clean
Chania Town, Theotokopoulou 47 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Very comfortable rooms and a great location. We loved the old town vibe and having a superb breakfast, sitting outside, seeing Chania waking up. You get great value for a good price, no doubt
The hotel maintains its Cretan charm and pride with modern and well-maintained amenities and excellent service from all the staff. I look forward to my return!
I thought El Greco was excellent value.
Efficient service and very clean hotel
The staff was very welcoming and helpful The breakfast was quite tasty and fresh The price also I find quite cheap for 5 nights that we stayed Overall very nice hotel, with nice rooms and location Would recommend
A beautiful modern hotel located on the edge of the old town with a stunning roof top bar where you can watch the sun set. The room we stayed in was spacious with a comfy bed and a nice quiet air-con system
The room also had a fridge/safe Our shower was v powerful and toiletries are provided along with slippers and hairdryer. If I was to return to Chania I would definitely stay in this hotel again
Chania Town, 2 Odyssea Elyti (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The rooms were perfect for our needs (family room to singles) inclusive of balconies all around, the pool area wonderful for lazy afternoons, and an incredible views! And further bonus, the food was great - a comprehensive breakfast selection, lunch by the pool, and the restaurant Gems - which we ate at 3 of the 4 nights - included excellent options, from yummy salads, pizzas and pastas, to amazing...
My partner and I stayed a couple of nights during off-season. The hosts were incredibly kind, made us feel like we were the only ones there. Breakfast buffet was closed but they were kind enough to provide us in our room
We were given great recommendations when asking about restaurants and the best way to get to town. The room was clean, views stunning and it was quiet. Honestly wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the Chania area
The hotel has a unique boutique feel about it as nothing is any problem for the owners or staff. The hotel pool is one of the best in Chania and the terrace view is the best in Chania
Everyone is so friendly, helpful and courteous. This hotel is a rare find and without doubt my " go to" place when coming to Chania Crete. I highly recommend anyone to consider this hotel when coming to this area
Our third year staying at this family run hotel with three generations involved. The two sisters - Eleni and Christina supported by their parents and Eleni’s sons - Niklas and John - are so welcoming and friendly
Chania Town, Eleftheriou Venizelou (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The only complaint for me was there was no coffee, just tea in the room and no ceramic cups they were plastic and I could taste the plastic every time I used them, also no classes for water or wine which is unusual
My room was very clean and there was a nice welcome gift waiting for me (loukoumi with some local raki). Breakfast was ok smorgasbord style with a rather standard selection of cereals, cold cuts and cheese
This is a beautiful hotel immaculately clean. The staff were lovely from the reception staff to the cleaner to breakfast staff. The room had a balcony and it was a nice size
The road is very noisy from morning till late at night but didn't bother us too much. On the whole a very nice hotel
Great hotel!! Friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous sea side views and perfect pen balconies to feel the sea breeze
The street below is very busy and a bit noisy, but the balcony door must be soundproofed because we still slept peacefully, despite the Olympiakos victory on our second to last night here!!! Woo!
Chania Town, Zambeliou Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We Loved this hotel! The owner was very nice and Aria was so fantastic to give us advice on beaches, and assure us that the drive was easy! Thank you, Aria! The hotel is SO comfortable with excellent AC and is located on the cutest street / pathway in Chania
We couldn’t have dreamed of a better location and view from our balcony! This is close to many restaurants and shops. Yannis at the reception desk was very welcoming and helpful
The staff was very friendly and helpful on helping with taxi’s. The breakfast was also very good and a nice table area. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Other than that though, I would recommend staying here - you come out of the hotel right into the hustle and bustle (and an amazing restaurant on the doorstep!) but once you’re in the hotel, you have peace and also aircon!
If you are expecting something perfect and new do not stay here. If you’d like something authentic, close to everything in the Old Port and with a breathtaking view of the lighthouse and harbor, this is your place
My room was perfect for just me, the only thing to mention is the bed is up on a separate floor and there are some rather steep steps to get up to it. If mobility is an issue, this might not be for you
Chania Town, Antoni Malmou 16, 73132 Hanya, Gretsiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I had an excellent stay at Hotel Malmo in Chania. The staff provided truly outstanding service — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile
There was an elevator that brought up to the receptionist in the 3rd floor where our room was in the same level where we have our breakfast. We enjoyed having Greek cuisine everyday that came with fredo cappuccino
When we enter the building we felt we were in a place we loved to be. It was made in Venetian period in Crete with character that tells an ongoing story from five centuries ago. It is in the Venetian Neighborhood
Look We absolutely loved this boutique hotel!
The service was amazing, the design stunning, and the Parisian-style atmosphere made it so special. It’s close to everything yet quiet and relaxing – a perfect stay!
Charming Hotel in the old Town. In a lively neighborhood, still very quiet.
We enjoyed the room, the terrasse and were happily surprised by the quality of room cleaning everyday
Very convenient boutique hotel. Beautifully designed. A staff that went out of their way to assist us. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Chania.

She is not only extremely professional and generous but also knows a huge arrange of addresses in Chania and around that made us discover the beauties and fine cuisine in the city and beyond
We had an absolutely lovely stay at Balance Hotel in Chania. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy, the rooms were cleaned every day and the whole place felt very well taken care of
They went the extra mile all the time, always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything. We genuinely loved everything about my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
We recently stayed at Balance Hotel on our trip to Chania, Crete for 5 days and were amazed with all aspects that this hotel had to offer. The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and informative
What truly made our stay special were the people. The staff were so kind and genuinely caring, always ready to help with a smile. On the day of our departure, we had to leave at 4 a
We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed—everything I could ask for. What really stood out, though, was the staff
The room we got was nice with a comfy bed with perhaps too many pillows. 😂 Room was a bit dated, but includes all you need: iron, coffee machine, hairdryer, etc. Service was excellent throughout
This is in a busy part of the old town, so take that into consideration if you are looking for something really quiet - it is not. The cafe next door had 3 great live music gigs in a row, they would stop at 11
This is a beautiful little hotel in the historic center of Chania, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is great, and my room was spacious and beautifully maintained
AMAZING location!!! Walking distance to everything. Friendly staff, easy check in and clean rooms. Location was 10/10 would highly recommend! Great value for the money.
Fantastic hotel, owners and staff in a superb location for exploring the old town. Everyone was very hospitable and generous which was deeply appreciated
I arrived on a late-night flight (which was also delayed), but someone from the hotel stayed in touch with me through Whatsapp the whole time
Chania Town, Sali Helidonaki 14 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Georgio helped us up to the top floor with our heavy luggage and then spent quite a bit of time describing best restaurants for various meals and times day. He is quite proud of Chania and Helena Hotel
The view of the sea and the Venetian Port from my room was excellent. The location in the old town is convenient and charming, as is the hotel itself
If you have a large suitcase good luck finding space for it
Had a top floor room with a view to die for, close to the harbour quite rustic with modern bathroom. Booking direct was easy with assistance / advice on parking and an early check in, rapid response to a few emails
This hotel was absolutely amazing! George gave us great recommendations and was always ready to help us out. The hotel location is perfect, situated in Old Town Chania, walkable at night, clean room, and very safe
The view from our windows over the curving harbour of Chania was outstanding! Many photos were taken of the water and shore sites and activities of this beautiful scene!
Georgio and Teresa were wonderful hosts
