Creta Vitalis in Kalathas

I recently stayed at Creta Vitalis with 45 of my wedding guests for a week, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home. Everyone—from the front desk to the housekeeping team—was incredibly warm, polite, and genuinely helpful. Most of the team were young, fluent in English, and always greeted us with a smile, treating us more like family than guests.

They went above and beyond to assist with last-minute wedding logistics, including helping us call taxis and arrange other services on a daily basis. When one of our guests accidentally left behind an Apple Watch, the hotel didn’t hesitate to send it by courier—something we deeply appreciated. I publicly thank Mairy, Maria, Nikos, and Vaggelis for all their help and smiles.

The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean. One thing to note is that rooms facing the road may experience some noise, and like many 3-star island hotels, you might hear other guests in the morning leaving their rooms. As for breakfast, while I had hoped for something more traditional and homemade, it was sufficient to start the day. I appreciated that they offered free beach umbrellas and beach towels, and there was a pool bar to get a snack.

It is a 3-star hotel, simple and may not offer some luxuries other (more expensive) hotels in the area have, but ultimately, what mattered most to me and my guests was the hospitality, and in that, Creta Vitalis truly excelled. Their kindness, flexibility, and willingness to help at every turn made our stay smooth and memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for its heartwarming service and reliability.

Friendliness of staff, lovely room and great breakfast

Stella the host was so friendly and welcoming. The lady at breakfast was also so kind and friendly. The pool was wonderful to spend the day lounging and the beach nearby in walking distance was great. The taverna had beautiful views over looking the sea whilst having a scrumptious meal. I really enjoyed my stay as it was clean. I would have liked a warmer blanket at night but all in all I would definitely return for a relaxing visit.

A real gem! Nicko’s family-run hotel made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Julia made sure our rooms were spotless and comfortable, breakfast was fresh and delicious, Rania and Euvageli went above and beyond to make our stay special.

It is a lovely hotel. Very clean. Nice location. Breakfast was good. We liked the pool. We would definitely recommend this hotel and note it to go again. The staff it was very kind.

Very little to do in the area. You need a car

Amazing staff - kind, helpful, genuinely happy to be there and to welcome you. The setting is idyllic - relaxed, quiet, close to the beach, wonderful pool with a great view. The food is delicious, the service top-notch, the rooms super clean and with great room service. I don't have enough good things to say about this place. I will happily come back.
