KasteliSuites in Chania Town

Travelers be aware! Alex the owner of Kasteli is a criminal who will be going to jail for assaulting me with a baseball bat. Like a cowered Alex and a younger man came up a block or two to assault me after a verbal argument about a bathroom. This guy not only initially spoke to me in a very rude way when we asked politely if we can use the bathroom but then proceeded to verbally offend me and my cousin. We then left the to go find a bathroom somewhere else. When then I had to pass his establishment in order to get back to my car, he saw me and continued to be verbally aggressive. after the second altercation I reached my car a block or two up the street where then he and the young man followed me. Without any warning they swung a bat at my head and luckily I blocked it with my arm( I was very fortunate not to have a broken arm). After the altercation a few people came up to me and asked if I was ok and then the police came. He tried to lie to the police but there were witnesses there to tell them what really happened. After talking to the police, the mentioned that they knew the guy and had problems with him before. The police mentioned that he has also had problems with his neighbors and is an unstable guy who takes medication to be stable. This guy and his business is not a place I hope people support. Violence is never the answer when it comes to a verbal argument over a bathroom. It could have been handled a different way but he choice to chase me down and attack me.
