We absolutely loved our long weekend at Hotel Ideon. It was in a fantastic location, close to the beach and only a 15 minute walk along to front to Chania Harbour. The hotel itself was tucked down a quiet street and the lobby was bright and modern. We spoke the owners a few times (not just at check-in) and they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was absolutely spotless and bigger than expected- the small balcony was a bonus. The bathroom was just as clean as the bedroom and the shower was powerful and hot. We have already recommended the hotel to friends and family and can’t believe how much of a bargain it was for the service and accommodation we received. If we found ourselves in Chania again, we would not hesitate to book in for a stay!

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very close to the old town (less than 10 minute walk), but far enough that it’s quiet during the evening. The family run hotel was very welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

I was seven nights at this hotel, and it was the best vacation of my life. The room I stayed in was not only beautifully decorated but also impeccably clean. It was evident that great care is taken to ensure both hygiene and comfort.

The hotel managers made me feel incredibly welcome. They are not only highly competent but also incredibly warm-hearted and lovely people. They were always available to answer any questions I had and were eager to help in any way they could. Their kindness and willingness to assist truly made my stay exceptional.

The breakfast was also delicious, with a great variety of options that were fresh and satisfying each morning. It was the perfect start to each day.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Within easy walking distance of the town centre, close to the Old Port area and lots of great eating places. We stayed for two nights and found our room very comfortable with a very groovy bathroom! We were able to leave our luggage at reception before checkin time which freed us up to do some early exploring. The friendly man at reception gave us some info about restaurants etc. We got a bit caught out with siesta time - reception is closed for a few hours but it didn’t matter.

We highly recommend the Ideon hotel. We received wonderful service, the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and updated. The hotel is very close to Nea Chora beach. Neo Chora is a nice sandy beach with a number of great restaurants. It is also about 10 minutes away from “Old Town” which is loaded with restaurants and shops. This was one of our favorite places of the trip. Overall the Ideon Hotel was a great stay and certainly one of the most welcoming and helpful hotels that we have stayed at while visiting Crete.

The location of the hotel is great value for money as it is nice and close to new chora beach and relatively close to the main town where all the action is. The rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and the overall stay was pleasant. I would come back in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ideon Hotel. We booked our stay based on positive reviews and so keen to pass this on as we were very happy.

The hotel location is ideal, 2 mins from the towns main beach and a 10 mins or so walk into the harbour and old town which is a lovely place to spend the evenings with its lovely restaurants, bars and shops.

The staff are what sets the hotel apart. They are so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our stay. They supported us with transfers, public busses and general recommendations for the area. On top of this, they are just lovely people who we enjoyed chatting to each day.

The rooms are clean and had everything we needed for a base for the town and beach. If you want a nice place to sleep and convenient location then this is perfect. If you want an all inclusive with a pool then this isn’t for you.

For us it was perfect and we would love to return. Thank you Tony and Teresa for a wonderful stay with you.
