Phaedra Hotel in Kato Stalos

A true gem! This hotel gave us the most relaxing vacation we could have imagined. The owner and the entire team are exceptionally kind, always smiling and ready to help.

The beach right in front is beautiful, with sunbeds always available for guests. We enjoyed it so much that we canceled most of our excursions just to stay here and enjoy this little paradise. We will definitely be back!

This is the absolute best hotell i've been for this price. Should've been at least 4 star with the service. Other 4 star i the neighbourhood could not compare. Absolutely would recommend!

We've had a lovely week at Phaedra. The hotel is clean and the room was well appointed. The staff, particularly Nikos were super friendly and helpful, both before our arrival snd during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble! We’ll be back, i hope!

The manager and his family is super friendly, helpful and professional. The room was amazing, direct seaview, clean, spacious. The beach is right next to the hotel, sandy beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are free of charge

We stayed at Phaedra for about 10 days. I agree with everything written. The rooms are very comfortable, one feels at home. Everything has been thought out down to the last detail. In addition to what has been written so far, what I would like to emphasize is that Nikos, his family, Georgia and all the staff bring a charming spirit. It infects you and you don't want to leave. The fact that guests come back year after year is a proof of that. I now know that I also won‘t go back home without visiting Phaedra. Thank you very much for all your help and for the good time we had.

We fell in love with Phaedra the very first time we stayed there and have been returning ever since. Everything about this hotel is perfect.
The rooms are spacious and kept spotlessly clean, Stalos is ideal for Chania and day-trips around the island, there’s always somewhere to sit around the chlorine-free pool, with a pool-bar run by the fabulous Georgia, the family-friendly beach is literally steps away from the pool, with the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets.
But what truly makes this hotel so special is Nikos and all the Phaedra team, who make you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive. Nikos is always so warm, relaxed and helpful, he seamlessly makes all his guests feel special, and as a result most of the guests return year after year. If I could give this hotel ten stars I would. Truly magical!!

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel—truly one of the best experiences we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the team couldn’t have been more welcoming, warm, and accommodating.

The hotel itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of thoughtful extras that made a real difference—like lending us an umbrella, mats, and a cooler for our day out, and even offering paracetamol for our son when he’d had a bit too much sun.

The pool and beach being seconds from our room was amazing!!! A real treat and no fighting for sunbeds!!! There was always some free whatever time of day.

The post-checkout shower facilities were a game-changer, allowing us to enjoy our last day stress-free without worrying about luggage or where to freshen up before heading home.

A special thank you to Nikos and the two Georgias at reception and at the pool bar— all of them were absolutely fantastic throughout our stay.

What an excellent hotel! I loved everything about my 6-night stay. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a large balcony with a view of the sea. The hotel is on a lovely beach that feels far from the crowds (although the action is only a short walk away), and the hotel provides free beach loungers. The pool was amazing too, and it was nice to have the bar for drinks and snacks. The owner and the entire staff were wonderfully friendly people, very attentive and helpful, and made you feel like family. I will definitely be back!
