Petras Beach in Sitia

Nice little family run place. Very friendly hosts, easygoing. Spacious room with nice view just outside city center. The bathroom is a bit dated, but perfectly clean.

Very nice clean and comfortable for a very good price, right across the street from the ocean. The only improvement I could recommend is get some shower curtains that are about 2 inches longer. The one in our room was too short to contain water in the shower stall, so the bathroom floor got all wet. But other than that, everything was great!

This hotel is located opposite the beach and we had a beautiful view. The room was small but provided everything we needed. It is located quite a distance from the harbour but was only 5€ in a taxi. The bar was very limited in its range of drinks but generous in measures. The owners are very welcoming and friendly.

Great place to stay on the east side of Crete
We were able to use this lovely hotel as a base to explore Vai Beach and surrounding areas, then Ierapetra the next day.
One thing I really like about the hotel is that they let you check in as early as noon, and not leave until noon.
The patio facing the water was very nice. Many people were sitting outside enjoying the sound of the waves and the breeze.

Great as a base to explore this lovely corner of Crete, not so much much as a destination in its own right.
Rooms are good. We were early season so can't comment on breakfast as that hadn't started yet (and nearby Sitia has fantastic breakfasts!!)
Beach accross the road is safe for children, but difficult to swim in for adults beyond the safe pool on account of the shelving rocks.
But again fantastic beaches further east.

We had a wonderful stay in petras beach. It is nothing fancy but the owners are very kind and we’re always working to make our stay as good as possible. They had some good recommendations for restaurants, beaches etc. the rooms were clean. You can’t expect much more for such a small price:)

Really quiet just sit and listen to the sea there's a large natural pool that is quite warm!

Nice, little hotel seafront, on the road to Vai Palm Tree Forest, the largest palm forest in Europe. The hotel is located 2km far from the town of Sitia, where you will have a full choice of restaurants for your dining. 500 mt away from the hotel, towards the town of Sitia, you will find a full equipped beach. The hotel has its own parking lot; all the rooms are at the ground floor and you can choose in between seafront rooms and garden view rooms. Seafront rooms might be a bit noisy at daytime but then you are probably wandering around the island; at night, traffic is almost absent and the place is very quiet. The furniture in the rooms is basic but the mattress of your bed is the best you will ever find in your travels. Maintenance isn't at the top: I found a pipe leaking in the bathroom and a lamp hanging loose in the balcony....nothing very serious. Don't miss the breakfast: apricots, peaches, plums, figs seasonly from the garden and also oranges for your fresh juice. Out of season you will taste jams from the same fruits. Staff is very kind and ready to satisfy your needs. Excellent value for your money at this hotel.
