The beach is just a 700-meter walk away, and there are plenty of markets and restaurants in the area. The bus stop is only a 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
A perfect little oasis…we’re gonna definitely be coming back!
Right upon arrival, a major issue became apparent: hot water was barely available or came with dangerous temperature fluctuations. Within seconds, the water would switch from ice-cold to scalding hot – which, in my case, even led to skin irritation and minor burns. Despite repeated complaints at the reception and in writing to the management, no adequate solution was offered – a completely unacceptable situation.
The room’s furnishings were also in a deplorable state. The handle of the bedside table was broken, making it nearly unusable. Even more concerning was the condition of the bed: two crates of soda and loose slats apparently served as a substitute for a proper bed base – such a makeshift solution is completely unreasonable and resulted in significant back pain.
In addition, the air conditioning unit was leaking. As a result, personal belongings, including luggage, were soaked. Although the issue was repaired after a request, no apology or compensation was offered.
Housekeeping was reduced to the bare minimum – within a few minutes, only the bed was made and the trash emptied. Towels were replaced irregularly, and the bath mat was repeatedly missing. Sleeping in was impossible, as there was loud knocking on the door around 10:30 a.m. every day, seemingly just to check off the cleaning routine.
Breakfast was also disappointing in several ways: omelets and sausages were usually cold, restocking only occurred upon request, and any basic courtesy in guest interaction was completely lacking.
Due to the poor quality and lack of care in the breakfast service, we consistently chose to skip the prepaid breakfast and instead sought alternatives outside the hotel.
The conditions on-site were so unbearable that we were forced to spend three nights outside the hotel – only then were we able to salvage at least part of our trip.
This accommodation should be thoroughly reviewed to prevent other guests from having similar experiences.
In terms of proximity, there is a lot of restaurant near of the hotel, many nightclub, bars, tourism office to book an excursion, rental agencies to rent different type of vehicle as bike, scooter, quad, car.
I really loved my holidays there and when I come back to crete I’ll go to Pasiphae.
Good value for money for the number of days spent and the price of the stay.
