Moonlight Hotel in Stalis

I chose Stalis Hotel for many reasons, and it did not disappoint! Located in Stalida, about 30 km east of Irakleio, it’s easy to reach from the airport—just hop on a public bus (direction Malia) and get off at station no. 28. No need for expensive taxis! The hotel is spread across several buildings, with most rooms offering side views of the sea. The restaurant and beach pool-bar are just a 1-minute walk from the reception, making everything super convenient. What I loved most is how the hotel blends into the town. It’s not one of those massive, isolated complexes but a place where you feel part of the local vibe—perfect for anyone wanting a true Greek summer experience. The staff really makes the difference here. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely care about the guests and each other. For example, the bartender at the beach pool-bar, @Arjan, greets the freelance massage lady on the beach if she’s had a good day. How sweet is that? And if something needs fixing, @Leonardo steps in to help. At reception, @Nicos and lobby bartender @Mario make evenings at the lobby bar unforgettable with great drinks and conversations. The food at the restaurant is tasty and varied, but the people make it even better. They greet you with a smile the moment you walk in. Back at the beach pool-bar, @Arjan deserves special recognition. He doesn’t just serve drinks—he shapes your day. He remembers guests’ countries, greets them in their languages, and always suggests the perfect drink. Guests even take as many photos with him as they do of the beautiful blue sea—if that doesn’t say something, I don’t know what does.

To all the nice people at Eleni Beach Aparthotel / Stalis Hotel, Just like last year, we stayed at Eleni Beach Aparthotel and were equally charmed by the spontaneous friendliness by everyone, always with a smile. Thank you everyone at the reception desk for the understanding by changing two times from room. Thank you Vava, for the help you gave with changing the room and that also two times. Thank you everyone at the restaurant - where we often had breakfast - for your kindness ànd to teach us some Greek words (which we most of the time forgot immediately 😊). Thank you Leonardo, for always being so cheerful. It was really nice meeting you. And last but not least!! Thank you Arjan, it was great to see you again. You’re an incredibly good and nice bartender/DJ :-). In a nutshell: just like last year, we’ve enjoyed every second, said goodbye with bit of pain in the heart but at the same time with a very warm feeling. The Stalis Hotel has all a tourist will need, nice rooms, good food, friendly stuff. I enjoyed beach and beach bar. My days were brighten by always friendly bartender @Arjan, who not just made the stay best but suggested best drinks. I will definitely come and visit Stalis Hotel next season again. Love this place!

Very nice hotel! We didn't even expect it to be of such high quality. The rooms are beautiful, renovated, there is everything you need, everything is done with high quality! The pool is right by the sea, which was simply incredibly convenient for me, since I was with my daughter and she most of the time swims in the pool, and I am in the sea. The staff is very attentive, if you need something they will do everything possible to please you, and this is really true. Special thanks to the bartender Aryan, very attentive and professional in his field. We also liked the food. Everything you need was there, tasty, high quality. We will definitely return to this hotel!! And we did, now in October.

Fantastic location and amazing staff, who helped me out with a couple of request. Our room in the main building was modern and the cleaners did a great job. Plus there are smart TVs with built in Netflix, perfect if you fancy an early night. My two main cons would be 1 - the food. The buffet breakfast and dinner (we were half board) were not very pleasant. But then again this is a 3* hotel and I’d say that’s pretty standard. 2 - the pool. Well not the pool it’s self, but the lack of loungers. The pool served the hotel and an apartment block and there were only 12 loungers. We went at the end of the season and often struggled to get a bed. If you went peak I doubt you would have any chance! All in all, a good stay. Can’t really complain for what we paid. Thank you to the helpful staff.

Great location by the beach. Sun, fun and plenty booze... All inclusive with free alcohol is definitely worth it. Rooms well kept. Cleaners pleasant and cheery. Food selections good for morning, afternoon and evening. Food choices change from day to day. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Bars well stocked. Good choice of snacks at pool bar. All in all a welcoming and inviting hotel experience. Shoutout to Mario (Bartender) lovely guy, very friendly and makes a great cocktail!!! A generous pour leaving you happy and buzzed! Definitely coming back to Stalida and Hotel Stalis!!

Had a great 14 day holiday here, rooms were kept clean and staff very helpful. Restaurant had a good variety of food. Location was perfect with the beach and shops close by. Special shout out to Mario the lobby bar tender, he made us the best cocktails and gave us a laugh each night.

I decided to take a short getaway before my hectic winter schedule, and this year, I picked Stalis Hotel. It was exactly what I needed—a quiet, relaxing place to recharge. The staff were professional and warm, and the beach bar became my favorite spot to unwind after a day of exploring. @Arjan, the bartender, deserves a special mention for his exceptional hospitality and ability to make everyone feel at ease. The location was perfect for some much-needed solitude, with just enough liveliness nearby to keep things interesting. I’ll definitely consider returning next year for my end-of-summer escape.
