Even you ask for daily clean, the room was not cleaned at all. Besides, when we first step in the room, there was a dirty cleaning cloth on the floor. There is always always noise in the room. Room furnitures moved from one side to another which makes noise in our room.

Very well situated just on the harbour so location is very good with unlimited restaurants, shops and bars within a few minutes of stepping out on the street. Rooms were pretty basic, AC worked, the beds were 2 single beds pushed together. Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh bedding and towels. Toilet paper is single ply so get used to that. I like this hotel very much. I live in a room with its own swimming pool. Walking out of the backyard is a large balcony and swimming pool. I can lie down all day. My children love it very much. There are also many delicious local specialties for breakfast. Although there are fewer styles, you can book a nanny to help take care of the baby.

Stayed here for a few days in July 2025. Big complex, great location right on the beach, numerous swimming pools, decent rooms. Compared to other entertainment teams we thought Gaia royals team lacked energy, charisma and personality. They were friendly enough however. Unfortunately guests will leave their towels out on the sunbeds overnight, thus reserving sunbeds for the duration of their stay...

A lot of time has passed since the hotel's much-vaunted renovation, and it was visible here and there in the room, ours still allowed us a pleasant and relaxing stay. Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. All right...so about the Gaia Royal... To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water. In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there). Good hotel for families with kids. It's a bit less than half an hour's walk to Syntagma Square, but it doesn't feel like a long trek. Novotel usually offers good value for money, which is why I often choose this chain when I travel to different European countries.

Breakfast was not bad …. Rooms were clean and pretty comfortable. Funny they provide drinking water as welcome drink and not on daily basis whereas they will replenish the mini bar daily for free. Location wise, not a great place but it is ok if you take Uber all the times. The souvenir shop at the hotel lobby was surprisingly not expensive.

Hotel is well located close to all major attractions in Athens. Lovely breakfast in morning and staff are welcoming and attentive. Unfortunately there is sewerage smell as soon as you come out of lifts and it’s present in some rooms as well.

A beautiful hotel a little tiny bit off the beaten path, but close enough to walk everywhere. And the views were spectacular. Make sure you spend time on the roof deck. It is gorgeous and the pool was just what I needed after a long day of traveling.

it was our first family holiday with our 1 year old. we had a really good time and our baby enjoyed it so much. We had a problem with a room and it was rectified immediately. The staff are amazing with children and are super friendly. We felt really at ease and safe.

I had such a lovely and heartwarming stay! The food was delicious, the place was wonderful, and everyone was so kind truly super friendly and full of love. You can really feel the warmth and care in everything they do. Especially Eva from the service she was amazing! So kind, attentive, and always with a big smile. The hotel is in a good location, 30 km from Heraklion, by the sea. The weather is still very good in mid-October, the sea is warm and the weather is no longer deadly hot but pleasantly warm. The hotel is nice, the breakfast is good, it's close to the subway station, and the rooms are spacious. The only downside is that the single room bed is made up of two single beds pushed together, which wasn't very comfortable.

Lovely staff but an extremely dated hotel. The entrance and lobby area and main dining hall has no atmosphere and needs a major refurbishment. It’s a 3-4 star hotel at best. We had a pleasant stay. The room was fine although beds are quite uncomfortable/soft. The food was ok although it would be preferred if there was more vegetarian options (especially on the beach bar). Pool - although beautiful on the photos, very dirty in reality so we didn’t even use it. The following staff made our stay memorable - Klevis, Despina, Martina, Panagiota!

Beautiful pool area, beach bar and location on the beach were great. Staff were also very friendly and attentive. Good range of food and the A la carte restaurants were excellent but many of the hot food options were only luke warm in the main self service restaurant which was disappointing.
