Hotels on first line in Santorini

This was my 3rd stay at Hippocampus. Absolutely amazing and will not stay anywhere else in Kamari/Santorini. Hotel is beautiful, lovely comfortable rooms, clean, gorgeous pools and friendly welcoming staff

This is great hotel very close to all services and attractions but still well maintained, nice and relaxing. Staff is great. Goos swimming pool area. Perfect camp base to visit the island. We loved staying here.

The family that run it make this 6 star in my opinion. Such lovely people and even the cleaners would meet you with a smile and a "good morning" - it felt perfect. The pools and recent work ARE 5 star

We stayed here for two weeks in September 2025. The hotel is absolutely fantastic! Two beautiful pools with different vibes, but both very relaxing and quiet

Everything you need is nearby: beach, restaurants, stores, bus stop around the corner. We stayed here for 8 nights in September and absolutely enjoyed it!

This is a great little hotel, located very close to the beach and a lot of bars and restaurants. It's very clean, with a decent breakfast and nice staff

for a two star hotel it is clean, the pool is small but sufficient,breakfast not much the same every day. The guy at the reception is nice and speaks English

There is someone at reception throughout the mornings and in the afternoon there is a number to call if you need anything. One thing that they are missing is the shower curtains in the bathroom

The water gets all around and you make a mess when you shower so I hope they will add some eventually

The hotel wasnt bad the hotel was a bit small but if your going on a budget i recommend going there the the elder hotel cleaner (NINA) is the best worker at that hotel shes so nice and friendly and overall ill give it about a 7

5 rating the locality is very good recommend going to fira there is lots of nice things to do there

The location is amazing, it’s right on the beach and there is loads of restaurants and shops. There is also a bus station nearby which goes to the town centre Fira. I would recommend for a couple or for a small family

This hotel was perfect in every way. It is right on the beach. Room was immaculately clean. Bed was comfy. As a solo traveller I felt safe and that is a huge plus for me.

The pool small but clean and loungers comfortable, Their beach area is serviced, drinks and food at your beach loungers. All in all, it's a great choice

Hotel is located in a very good spot, just across the beach. Breakfast had good variety of dishes and you can eat on the veranda overlooking the beach. Staff are very welcoming, helpful, friendly and attentive

00 pillow and firm mattress from the hotel with minimal stairs, Room was on second floor,, problem, hotel manager was so helping and accommodating,switched rooms to main floor in a matter of minutes , extra blankets towels no problem, Breakfast buffet has a little of everything with a little special different surprise each morning,quiche one morning ,something different

Absolutely loved this hotel! Such good value and you are right on the beach. If you hire a car it’s perfect as there’s a lovely little village with some great restaurants up the road & easy driving around the island

Perfect place for an laid back and relaxing holiday! Nice and clean room, great breakfast, sea just few steps from your room. Mathios and he’s staff are superb.

There’s also a bus stop right outside the hotel but check the schedule as it changes during seasons. The hotel was spotless, very Greek & authentic. The restaurant / bar area downstairs was also perfect

While not as fancy as some of the hotels on the island, we loved our time here. It is right on the sea front with amazing views

The hotel staff are kind and helpful. The terrace overlooks the sea. The walk to the sea takes only a few moments. We especially thank Nikki and the other staff for their smiles and hard work

Room designs are so good, I guess all of them have magnificent sea view. Location is also very easy to reach by bus and just next to the sea. Hosts were kind and breakfast was very nice.

The hotel location is perfect - facing the famous Caldera and Aegean Sea; a market is just a few steps away in case you want to grab a bottle of water; we stayed in room #3, it’s off the road but not too far, so we didn’t hire a porter to carry our luggage to our room; and breakfast was great

Rooms are cosy but still has everything we need, hot water was a challenge though! Pool was a couple mins walk from the accommodation, not a problem

She even helped us with the bed situation without being asked. The following days, hotel staff Ioannis helped us with a few requests - airport transfer, restaurant reservation, and best spots for sightseeing

The first night we arrived very late - past 9 pm due to the late flight, hotel staff Popi waited for us, she helped us filled out our breakfast order for next morning, then showed us the room

This hotel is great value, I paid £670 for 3 nights but with the most stunning balcony over the caldera. Couldn’t see the sun fully setting but you get the whole ambience still

My friend and I went Santorini for the first time this October, we stayed in Strogili traditional homes for 3 nights, it was a super lovely experience there

Great beach for snorkeling tons of sea life crystal clear water and the beach is solid bedrock at the water line and turns to black pebbles on the beach itself

This is a great place to stay close to the beach. We landed in Greece late night and we had to call the front desk since they are not there 24 hours. Make sure you communicate with them what time are you are arriving.

Amazing stay in Kamari! The hotel was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Great location near the beach, delicious breakfast, and super friendly staff. Truly a perfect experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Buffet breakfast service was very nice. The beachfront loungers and umbrella are great. The Prince Restruant and the bar and lounge area top others.

My husband and I spent two nights at Makriz Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing

It’s a below par very basic hotel who’s main attribute is it’s seafront location. Literally 10 meters away to the black stone and pebble beach at Kamari. They serve warm lattes which are vile and costly

They screamed around the pool at 10pm, well past quiet hours, jumped into the water like it was a public park, and let their kids kick a football against the wall of our room — and we had an 8-month-old baby trying to sleep

whilst we were there, there was a very rude group whose stay overlapped with ours - they verbally abused staff constantly, had ridiculous requests and then proceeded to leave horrible and untrue reviews from multiple accounts… please don’t believe these reviews

Unbelievable Behavior – Completely False Reviews I stayed at the hotel during the same period as the family who wrote the negative reviews below, and I feel genuinely compelled to speak up — because what they wrote is not just exaggerated, it's simply untrue

The hotel is not only beautiful but it also has a peaceful atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in the right place to unwind. The staff deserves a special mention always warm, respectful, and helpful

Our experience at Xenones Filotera was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is in a stunning location with panoramic views that truly take your breath away. Our room was spotless and very comfortable

Super Cosy hotel with amazing breakfast and host, George is the best! Walking distance from the beach, around the corner there is a mini market

The hotel is nice, you have your space and privacy. The material and the furniture and not casual but maybe a liiiitle maintenance is missing. All the small details that are not "exceptional" are compensated by George

On the first day we almost had the whole garden and pool to ourselves, because we were there between the departures and arrivals of the other tourists

This hotel is fantastic, offering a nice pool and some excellent rooms equipped with air conditioning. The hotel manager is incredibly sweet and kind. Breakfast is delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from

The breakfast was decent as well. Location was great as they are a little more than 1/2 a mile away from the bus stop and a little over a mile to get to Kamari beach

I really appreciated our stay at Villa Angira. Staff were very kind and accommodating. We had a late departure and they allowed us to check out later and leave our luggage onsite. The room was modern and clean

Great hotel right on the beach with a small pool. Friendly staff, beachside service, quiet, lots of breakfast choices at the buffet. Good area with restaurants and shops nearby.

However, we were very grateful to have such a spacious room with a fridge and a little freezer inside of it. The swimming pool has been redone as well as the pool area and we enjoyed that as much as we enjoyed the beach

Just got back from a lovely stay at Sellada Beach Hotel! The whole place was spotless and had such a calm, welcoming vibe. Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout

Had breakfast/lunch here like 4 days out of my week holiday. The two lads were lovely very nice chatty the food was brilliant. And they're very accommodative they put up with my dad

We have stayed here before and upon arrival the welcome was like we had never been away. The room that we stayed in was an apartment and it was more than we required

Check-in went smooth but nobody was seen for our early check out, my husband had to carry them all up in the hill. 45 and had to leave at 5 am but there wasn’t anyone at reception and we couldn’t get hold of anybody

We got the room with the indoor pool, it was a hit with our youngest son! The location was perfect- we could walk everywhere and it was not too busy with tourists!

After lots and lots of research, I am so glad that I booked Tholos Resort! There are so many options in Santorini, but Tholos was the best of everything. We had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay

Breakfast was served at our room each morning and was delicious. It’s been our most memorable experience staying here we we surely recommend this place in Santorini We look forward to our next stay at the Tholos

Dimitris was fantastic in assisting with our bookings, rooms and transfers, Albie was brilliant and served us by the pool and delivered our breakfast each day. Victor was wonderful in transporting our very heavy luggage

We stayed at the Tholos for 2 nights and our experience was fantastic The location is wonderful - in Imerovigli. It is close by to many cafés and bars , and also just 10-15 mins walk to Fira

There's a nice little bar and restaurant area and although it doesn't have a its own swimming pool you can use a nice one that's just a short walk down the road

The beach is just a short walk away and has loads of places to eat and drink. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and I certainly recommend it

The staff are all super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy and have private balconies

Service: The service of helping to book a car to the airport is very good

Room was really good, clean, well maintained. Bathroom was little disappointing as I felt a bit cramped in there. Else everything was good, specially the location. It's very very very near by black sand beach

The air conditioning worked flawlessly. Swimming pool with clear water and sunbeds available for guests. This place has even more than you expect

Alma Thera is amazing hotel in excellent location only 1 min from the beach. Near are lot of restaurants, beach bars and shops. We booked a superior studio with private balcony and kitchen , it was cleaned everyday

The pool was clean and big enough with sun-beds. Dimitri at the reception help us with airport transfer on our arrival and gave us information about the island where to go and what to see

The pool was little but fun! The location was not in the direct front of beach but very close by walking distance through cafes and markets. It was so convenient for the bus stop as well

The kitchen is equipped with basic utensils, dishes, and everything you need for simple cooking. There is a nice pool in the front. Most importantly, the host is fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable

There is quite a big parking lot next to the building where we left our vehicle. Quiet neighborhood, close to beaches, shops and restaurants that are open till late evening

All the front desk staff were amazing and Sergei the porter was super helpful ! He recommended we visit Pygros on Holy Friday and I’m so glad we did :) would definitely visit in the future

We stayed here in a cave room for 10 nights and had a wonderful experience. They go above and beyond expectations. Helped us arrange our tours and even made a few adjustments for us

How could I be in the town at a cliffside hotel with once in a lifetime views for less than a large farm and far sea view? Overall, good if you want to come to Santorini and be away from literally everything (to the point where people raise eyebrows when you say you'll just walk to town)- bad if you want shopping, more than 2 restaurants, views of caldera, or to do anything without relying on a car

We had a free breakfast every morning and that was surprisingly good also

Relaxing by the pool in their neighboring Elysian Retreat is also included in your stay, although that requires a walk down- and later back uphill

It is in a farmland village about half a mile from the tourist areas or real towns and around two miles from the water. There is no cliffside or caldera drop view, only open land and sea in the far distance

1: Location – The hotel is just a short distance from Oia by car, one of Santorini’s most popular towns, and is conveniently close to restaurants and supermarkets

The AC kept the room perfectly cool, and the numerous windows offered spectacular views, ideal for sunset and sea photography. The pool was also fantastic—open late into the night and perfect for unwinding

There’s also a scenic path leading to other attractions like Kamari Beach, Amoudi Bay, and Fira. I will definitely return here, as George (the owner) truly made our trip ten times better

The room was very spacious with 1 queen and 2 single beds as well as plenty of pillows and blankets. The AC works well and there are lots of windows where you can get amazing sunset and sea pictures

A lovely scenic road also connects it to other must-see spots like Kamari Beach, Amoudi Bay, and Fira

George’s mother prepared us a delicious fresh breakfast every morning, and the he himself recommended wonderful places to visit around Santorini

Communication prior to the trip with Vaggelis was very clear. During our stay Irena was on hand to help us and made some great recommendations. The accommodation is very comfortable, spacious and clean

The location is a little isolated, but this is made very clear at the point of booking. The resort is perfectly located to visit Fira and Oia which are just 15 min drive away

We came for a wedding, and to meet family and friends, and coming back to Rhenea, was great to relax and have a quiet time. From us the whole family; Ευχαριστώ πολύ

The property had wonderful swimming pool with pressure water coming in so it was great. During the night it was awesome as well. Top and middle balconies had great ocean view. Overall facilities were good as well

This resort was perfect for our stay in Santorini. From day of reservation to our departure, the communication has been excellent

Vaggelis responded trough WhatsApp to confirm booking, and with car hire, with reasonable price. Irene was available the whole stay, supported with everything that we needed

The room was amazing, the service was prompt and attentive, the view of the ocean and sunset was perfect, the large, comfortable bed was perfect for a good night's sleep, and the pool was truly amazing

This cute Greek villa has a pool and a jacuzzi on the balcony, so you can relax in a private, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. The sunsets from the restaurant are amazing, and I highly recommend it

The only drawback is that if you have just got off the plane with a lot of luggage and choose to take the local public bus to the hotel, it will be inconvenient because you have to walk a long slope or stairs beside the road after getting off the bus

Hotel and location is excellent the views are absolutely stunning breakfast is good, some days the service was a bit slow, however would Absolutely recommend and definitely would come back

They even delivered freshly baked sweets and lavender sachets to us. It was my first time in Santorini, and I'm so glad I stayed there

A very warm, friendly hotel in Perissa around 15 minutes drive from the airport. Situated on the main thoroughfare of the town with a choice of bars and restaurants as well as shops selling beachwear and souvenirs

Also a couple of supermarkets and a laundromat. A short walk from the seafront which is serviced by a huge choice of restaurants and bars and a black sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds as well as water sports facilities

The hotel itself is a pretty selection of whitewashed buildings and well kept grounds with 2 swimming pools There is a good buffet breakfast on offer with tables overlooking the main pool

Throughout our holiday whilst our friend was in hospital, the reception staff couldn’t have been more supportive or concerned. Many thanks to Ray, Dimitra and Alex and the team for looking after us so well

I recommend requesting a quiet room towards the back of the hotel if you don’t want to be disturbed by loud music from the bar which can go on til after midnight. A thoroughly enjoyable experience

Unfortunately, one of my friends fell 3rd day of the holiday and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. Alex, the young man manning reception could not have been more supportive and helpful

The hotel was still preparing for the summer season during our visit, so there was some light maintenance work happening, including painting, and the pool had not yet been filled

Very good environment, but there may be more small insects on the beach, but there is nothing you can do about it. I will consider coming here next time

Didn’t need to find any other spot to watch the sunset, could do it right from our room. The food is outstanding if a little pricey but the real star is the staff whose are amazing and could not do enough for you
