Stellina Hotel in Skiathos Town

As a greek, I am ashamed for this hotel. With the exception of the "new" (relative) building overlooking the pool the rooms are really old, probably never renovated since the 80s (most possibly thats when the hotel was grounded taking some techical details into account. Especially the central part over the reception must be avoided at all cost, as the roof is not waterproof, it was actually trickling on our beds when it rained. Bad service and measly amenities add up to the worst Hotel ever in this budget in my experience

Don't book! My wife and I stayed here for 10 days, we are both in our 60s and have travelled all over Greece, and love skiathos, but this has to be the worst hotel ever, they are more interested in getting the 10 euros a day from you for the air con, the place is a dump, the rooms are so dated, the beds seem as if they have been there since the 2 world war, and are falling to bits, the room front doors are held together with angle brackets, the patio door on the balcony didn't lock, when we complained severaltimes, we're told, it would take 10 days for someone to fix, so we would have left before it was done!!, the food was awful, heated by tee lights, one 2 slice toaster for everyone, on our first day, we wondered why everyone was quing for breakfast, it's because it goes cold straight away, and so you had to be there when it was first out, we went on our first day, and never eat in the hotel again, the pool is full of algie round the edges, and attracts wasps, the sun beds are filthy, and all broken, and the pool area toilets are a disgrace, and filthy. The girl on the pool bar serves you, when she has finished her ongoing conversations on her mobile, and is very rude, you get served beer and wine in paper coffee cups, as if you ask for a beer glass, are told they have none!. We luckily brought a small electric fan with us, and gave it to a young family with 2 young children, as they were unable to afford the air conditioning costs, as there were on a budget, our air conditioning unit was rubbish, and we found a pigeon had made a nest at the back of it on the balcony, so now know why it was rubbish, there are safety deposit boxes next to reception, which are tin slots, not very safe, when reception leave at 11.00pm, and hotel left open for anyone to get at, we had to sleep with our belongings under our pillows. I can go on and on about the bad points, as there are no good ones, this is never even a 2 star. Stay well clear!!

This hotel is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in, we understand it's only a 2* but even 2* should have standards regarding cleanliness, bathroom was filthy stained toilet and awful smell of drains, balcony view was looking onto an old cottage in grounds with dirty sheets replacing windows, to the left of the balcony we looked onto lines of half clean hotel towels and a very overgrown garden, pool was filthy as were pool sides and most sunbeds broken and dirty. Avoid this hotel at all costs, it's an absolutely disgrace.

First of all it's rated a 2 star. You get what you pay for. Room: + Cleaned daily albeit standard dependent on cleaner - basic accommodation and thin walls. Breakfast: no pluses here as absolutely awful due to lack of variety and bland /cold food/lack of crockery/coffee machine not working intermittently and horrible coffee. Don't bother! Pool area: + nice cold pool if you want to rack up lengths - tired and tatty sunbeds. Location: + great for seeing planes landing or departing (if you are in the apartments on the sea view). Not if you have the busy the road view. 10 minute walk to centre. Overall if you are on a budget don't complain as you get what you pay for. If you want a bit more luxury do not stay at Hotel Stellina! I won't be visiting again.

Stayed here last year after seeing reviews thought go with an open mind and it was ok yes tired hotel but was clean staff friendly fast forward to 20025 second stay wat a difference a year makes staff rude room wasn’t cleaned proper lazy pool bar girl working didn’t clean no table had to take wipes and clean them myself didn’t provide enough ashtrays fag stumps on floor yuk just really run down this year like litter on floor from breakfast time still not cleaned up all week needs some money investing in this hotel such a shame I won’t return again bathroom stunk really bad with some money spent on this place it could be a real gem breakfast wasn’t for me but nice coffee
