Stayed here as a family for a week and whist I am happy we got our money's worth and it was decent value, there are a few details i believe the hotel could do which would have made our stay 5 Star. We were looking for a quiet place to relax but also with a little buzz – and Majestic nailed it. Our room had perfect sound insulation, so we could nap mid-day while the pool area was lively. Drinks flowed all day, food was fresh, and we didn’t need to leave the hotel for anything because we had an all inclusive hotel. That’s a win.

We’ve stayed in Zante before, but Majestic really raised the bar. Everything from the spotless rooms to the endless food options was top-notch. The spa was amazing and worth every euro – I had the best massage of my life. Also, how often do you see a tattoo studio inside a hotel? Wild.

Very clean swimming pool and lots of space around. We liked the area behind of swimming pools were it was more quiet for couples. As or the rooms they were pretty clean and quiet with soundproofed walls.

I arrived here in dread having read some reviews and it was nowhere near as bad as I expected. Just returned from a week staying at this hotel. The location was perfect close to everything. The hotel was clean and rooms were a good size. I had a wonderful holiday with my girlfriend at this hotel. We really liked the staff's service, and what we liked even more was waking up to direct sea views. We spent 5 days here... it is a family resort with lots to do for kids but not so much for couples! We loved the private pool... drinks are not good but the food is ok for an all inclusive resort... Having read some of the poor reviews I was a little worried about coming here, but I needn't have been. The location could not be better; the place is spotlessly cleaned and the food is just fantastic. I think some of the previous reviewers who have slated this place just haven't travelled very much (or were expecting a UK-standard four star). Our check-in was a delight and the reception staff were really helpful. We booked a seaview bungalow and absolutely loved its location. Hotel is really nice with friendly and helpful staff. Organized earlier check in, our laundry to be picked up and helped us with car hire. Nice pool and beach access. Room was clean and spacious. Only negative for us was that we went to breakfast at 9.30 and not many foods were being replaced as it finished at 10am - so limited selection at that time. Apart from that all was good.

Everything is good in the hotel and the location is perfect. But the shower setting is quite low and shower area is small. During the showering, one hand is needed to hold the shower head.

The location is excellent. It is right in the center of Zakynthos Town. I booked a sea view room and watched the sunrise directly from the balcony. The view was superb. The room was average and the facilities were quite old, but the location offset many of the shortcomings. The location is definitely good, and the front desk is quite polite. But the facilities are a bit old. The air conditioner is facing the TV, and it won't turn on if you don't close the door. You still have to use your own shower gel and shampoo, but I didn't use them despite looking at the facilities.

We stayed for three nights. There are small shops and restaurants around the hotel. However, the hotel facilities were always out of order. The power circuit breaker in the room tripped on the first day and the water supply was cut off for the next two days.

We had one of the top rooms. Couldn't fault it. Food was nice and plenty of choice. We ate far too much because we wanted to try everything. They had nice tea but tiny cups. Bring a mug. All inclusive food, drink and ice-cream for the kids. The pool was cleaned daily and everything was clean and tidy.

If you know what to expect you won't get disappointed. The rooms are old and not worth it. But at least you get room service and all you can eat buffet (if you provided to get the full/half board). The side view room have a good view of the beach and the small islands. I'd say if you find cheaper places go anywhere else. Don't expect a 4 star hotel.

Astir plainly offers what you pay for. The facility has seen its better days, but that's pretty much its only/main con. Our own hotel were very mean and we had to check out at the morning while the transfer left at night! So this hotel let us pay for only a lunch buffet and then we could spend the whole day by this pool, but things and eat the buffet. Really nice staff who helped us

We have been to Astir Palace last year and we liked it. But this year our stay was even much better. Extraordinary variety of food and very tasty. Very clean, every day cleaning of the room. The hotel staff are so friendly. We had a very comfortable stay. There isn’t much choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. However there are plenty of restaurants near by and the locals are so welcoming. Hotel in great location onto the sea front. Room was also clean.

I had an emergency night here due to a jet2 plane issue. It was very dated. Bed was OK. But decor leaves a lot to be desired. I made up my mind we would see for ourselves. We were not disappointed at all. Our room is large clean and always kept clean. Clean towels every day. Lovely rooftop pool. Katerina palace feels like coming back home! I have stayed here 3 times now and won't book anywhere different. The hotel is clean, friendly and the staff are great! I stay in the studio apartments which are well equipped and clean. The bar has a great selection of drinks and food. Love my afternoon pina colada round the pool! Can't wait to return next year in may and September.

This hotel is not 4 stars in my opinion. Location is superb and cleanliness is great. Breakfast has many options but becomes repetitive if you're staying for 7 days. Our bed was very uncomfortable in the first night, however the staff were very accommodating at providing a more comfy mattress topper. The staff is ok. The hotel is on the hill, a perfect location with the fantastic view to oversee the entire Zakynthos town and harbor. The pool and the restaurant terrace have this wonderful view and the ocean side rooms and suites as well. The restaurant has great food for me, the menu changes by day so it never got be bored. And the staffs are very friendly and helpful, I enjoyed my stay a lot.

Very nice staff, but the hotel needs serious renovations. The bathroom is moldy and not descaled. All the water is from the sea and extremely salty. We used bottled water to wash off the salt after bath. The breakfast has a large variety but extremely poor quality and taste. I only had watermelons and bought coffee (espresso) from the bar.

We had a bad first impression with our check in. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful, and this continued for the week. Everyone we spoke to had had the same impression, nobody knew her name she was known as ‘the blonde one’!! Other than her the room was acceptable, but definitely only 3*. The bathroom is quite poor. Great hotel, clean and tidy, lovely friendly staff , good choice of breakfast. Right on the beach and walking distance to plentiful of restaurants, bars and shops. Good transfers from airport and within easy reach of zante Town by road fun train or taxi. Was our first visit to argassi, would definitely recommend and hopefully return one day

Spacious and bright room, great location

The room is quite big. The sea view room you booked can see the sea. Across the road from the hotel is a long beach coastline. The tap water on this island is too salty to even rinse your mouth. The driver who picked me up at the airport said that you must not drink the tap water, even if it is boiled, and the hotel does not provide free drinking water.

It is a pretty good hotel that can be booked in the off-season. The room is not too big, there is free parking, it faces the sea, it is not far from the port and the airport, and the breakfast is also rich.

Very happy we stayed here, good location only a few minutes from town. All staff very friendly and professional. The best breakfast we had in our 2 week trip. Just over the road from a pebbly beach but there are two points on the way into town where you can access the sea for those that like a swim. A good choice
