Reviews
Shared female restroom need some throughout cleaning as the mildew is all over the showers. It is very hard to get a good night of sleep with people in and out slamming the main door. The shared kitchen is a good idea but could use some cleaning. Also when I booked it said that luggage store was provided free but apparently to be safe you have to get paid locker. :(
The place was amazing and the staff was very friendly. I wish the rooms would come with body wash and shampoo, or at least offer the option to buy a small bottle of body wash and shampoo at a reasonable price. I had to buy a big bottle from the store that I ended up using it twice and then throwing an almost full bottle into the garbage because I can't fly back with it in my luggage.
Really nice student hostel within walking distance of central Reykjavik. Clean, warm, comfortable.
One niggle - I could have benefitted from two pillows but this is a small thing and didn’t detract from the overall experience. I’d definitely stay here again.
One piece of advice. It’s not obvious from the map where the hostel is. I walked right past it and saw other people do the same.
Room was a great location for touring the downtown cheaply. Included free parking just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend if in the area. Only issue we had was the shower drain didn't work well.
As for the premises, there are large common spaces, well cleaned and equipped with everything one might need in a hostel. Staying here comes recommended!
Close to the center and the sea, a lot of bus stop just outside the main entrance.
Good value overall for Reykjavik, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
