Very attentive staff and Elenor made our checkin very smooth and answered all our questions. Perfect location to see the city. Would definitely stay there if we got back to Reykjavík
We also drove ten mins to the lighthouse and saw the best view of northern lights!
Great place! Lovely hotel in the heart of Reykjavik. Breathtaking views with fabolous and helpful staff. Can't imagine better place to spend time in when visiting Iceland. There is just No competition!
Great! Excellent location, nice ambiance, and good facilities too.
The restaurant is a highlight in itself. Thoughtfully curated dishes, high-quality ingredients, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere make it a destination even if you’re not staying at the hotel
Sometimes things go wrong I’ve worked in hospitality before but the treatment the staff gave was top tier and we were extremely greatful for the care and service we received afterwards

Tge front desk staff, he gave me suggestions and helped me book the show ticket. He gave me clear instructions and seeing my lost look , even gave me the hootel phone numbers to call him in case I run into trouble
Foss hotel Reykjavik is a great place, conveniently located next to Bus stop 12 where all the tour operators pick up and drop off as well as Fly bus tdrop off and pick up. The hotel is very clean and safe
I have a fantastic experience with the staff in front desk and house keeping. I was a solo traveller and I asked guidance to the front desk on some places that i wanted to go within and near Reykjavik
But the housekeeping folks while cleaning did not even touch any valuable stuff that i left. It is really a very reliable and safe hotel. They have a restaurant that serves delicioys food
But thanks to his clear guidance I managed to navigate well and had a great day out. This hotel is about 15 to 20mrs from city centre by walk. One day I forgot my gold chain in the room
I ate their fish and chips and chicken salad. The breakfast has a good spread. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The best part is still the excellent service from the staff

Reykjavik, Sudurlandsbraut 2, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby
The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
We loved staying at the Hilton Nordica! The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast there was the best we had in the entire country
Great place to stay and enjoyed both the sauna and gym facilities a lot~
Though the hotel belongs to a high class hotel group but the room quite basic. Not much eateries or shops are around the area. Hence we took bus to those places
Loved! First, the room was clean and quiet and comfortable. Next, the staff was so kind and helpful, we wanted for nothing. Plus, it was in a great location for getting wherever we needed to go

The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It's also close to bus stations #2 and #3, which is great for catching local tour buses. The hotel is clean and comfortable, definitely recommended!
I stayed at Saga Hotel for two nights. The hotel is situated adjacent to Tjornin (a beautiful pond with lots of swans and ducks). The room was well furnished and comfortable. The staff at reception were friendly
Excellent hotel. Room is big in Icelandic standard. Excellent breakfast with ample options. Staffs who went out of their way to provide assistance. Best hotel stayed in Iceland.
Excellent location, friendly reception, great breakfast, clean and comfortable room. Go for the breakfast, they are great. You don’t find breakfast outside early in the morning
Very comfortable and spacious room. Great location, 5 minute walk to Rainbow Street and many great food options. Right across the street from FlyBus pickup/drop off station.
The room was a bit small, and the value for money was slightly low, but it was clean, parking was good, and the staff were friendly

Reykjavik, Sigtun 28 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future
The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots
The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking

Lovely hotel with great facilities including a wonderful spa (extra cost for standard guests). Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Buffet breakfast was excellent and worth paying that bit extra
Its location is however a fair walk out of town (and beyond the bus station). We coped because we’re happy to walk, but there’s a lot of construction going on in the area, which made part of the walk a difficult one
For those who are planning organised day trips: due to it's location this hotel is the first pick-up point for most travel companies. This means you'll always sit with your travel companion!
Hotel staff was very friendly and cooperative. I was staying with my wife just for 2 nights and we both are satisfied. Hotel window view was amazing. only 8-10 minutes walking distance from bus station
Comfortable hotel a short walk from the city center. The room we had was big, with a lovely bed, a bathroom that was clean and spacious enough and all facilities you might need
The breakfast buffet was good, as long as you stay away from the waffle irons and the espresso machine if you have only a short amount of time (they have very tasty filter coffee at the other end of the buffet, no queues there)

This hotel was very close to the cruise port and the staff their directed us to a walkable distance to a free shuttle bus to the cruise port, We explored the area , which was downtown, on foot and enjoyed it very much
Overpriced for the quality of the room Good location but room with slanted ceiling and only skylights without windows. Felt like we were in an attic. Not happy with the room for the price we paid.
It has a pretty good breakfast in the morning too
Rooms are specious and clean . Good location near from restaurants , bars and to visit the city by walk .
Stayed here for 5 days total (2 different segments of our trip) and had a wonderful experience. Front desk crew was great in helping arrange transportation to tours and helping find restaurants in the area
Excellent property, beautifully appointed. Was just a short walk to our cruise port and to the Harpa concert hall. Staff were very friendly and helpful

You can see the sea from the double room window! It's very convenient to walk to anywhere! The room design is Balinese style, the toiletries are very useful, the fish salad fried chicken for dinner is delicious, it's the first time to have sweet and sour fish, and I'm super satisfied when I return to the hotel hungry after a day trip! Free coffee is provided all day, the service attitude of the staff...
It was a great stay and we would definitely go back to this hotel again if we are ever back in Iceland! Our only difficulty, understanding this is mostly outside of the hotel's control, is that some of the sidewalks on the walk to downtown were extremely icy and slippery after a day or so of wintry mix that froze over
Had a perfect one-night stay at *Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel* in Reykjavik! 🏨 Everything was clean, comfortable, and beautifully done. The vibe, service, and location were all spot on. Highly recommend! 🌟
We were not disappointed by the Eyja Guldsmeden. The location was only a few blocks away from downtown where there were tons of shopping and dining options, and the hotel itself was beautiful
This hotel has a Thai style. I stayed for 4 nights. It is clean and has no odor. It is cleaned every day. I am very satisfied. Free coffee and tea are available all day long. It is good.
We started our travel to Iceland by driving around Iceland in a campervan, so we were hoping for a relaxing hotel stay in Reykjavik at the end of the trip when we pre-booked

Well appointed sea view room on 5th floor . Nice breakfast friendly staff', would recommend. Only negative for me was the bed was a bit soft and springy. Lovely feather pillows and duvet though.
The hotel sits on a street corner, with easy access to the city centre and a nice view of the harbour. Clean and warm, with enjoyable breakfast
The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin
Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport)
Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views. Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is! Blue Lagoon is a must

The restaurant is consistently clean and well-stocked even during peak periods. The on site restaurant is also highly regarded, particularly for its exceptional cocktail menu and the skill of its mixologist
The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel
Room is clean and well renovated
Hotel lobby was quite nice and had lots of space for working. However, was quite disappointed by the the lack of gym when asked on site which was misleading from photos (albeit taken 7 years ago on Google Maps)
Lots of Construction close by and across from us a ship was being repaired so the Old Harbor still has some authenticity but most of it. It’s been turned over to tourist attractions. Was there in Winter but I suspect
The hotel is ideally situated, just out of the main hustle and bustle, easily reached by a 5-10 minute walk, even being so close to a working port it was really quiet (the engineers working on the ship on the slipway didn't start work until after 8!) Breakfast was varied and plentiful! All the staff were very helpful and friendly - would definitely recommend

The location is super convenient, and the room facilities are very clean and hygienic.
Great location and near the rainbow street . Next to Bonus mart . Ideal for short trips.
There is a Xiaozhu supermarket downstairs. 9, which is convenient for local tour groups to gather and pick up. The counter staff provides early check-in service, but the room lighting is a little dim

The location is also fantastic, right by the sea, just 100 meters away. It's only a 10-15 minute walk to popular areas like the church and Rainbow Street
This place is great! You can take the airport shuttle directly to the hotel, and tour groups pick up right from here too. It's close to the beach, and you only have to walk about 500 meters to see the Northern Lights!!!
The front desk staff made check-in a breeze, and they even used a translation app on their phone if there were any English communication difficulties. Although the room was small, it was very cozy
Extremely affordable hotel in reykjavik with a convenient carpark. Unfortunately the room wasn't very big and had no kettle. There is a very convenient kronan walking distance from the hotel.
For this price, I really can't complain, it was great! Excellent value for money. I happened to be there on September 22nd, which was a free bus day in Reichenau
Chose Cabin for our last night in Iceland, primarily because of the shuttle bus to the airport, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival

Our first visit to Reykjavík, and Borg Hotel was the perfect choice. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to so many great spots
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We also loved the beautiful Art Deco motif that gives the hotel so much character and charm
We had so many questions being our first day in Iceland and Claudia was amazing giving us recommendations for restaurants, shops and the northern lights viewing locations
Great location and super friendly staff. We had a great experience at this hotel. Rooms were really nice, clean and well styled
Fantastic location, handy for bus stop 3 for tours and what a stunning building! Staff are so helpful, can’t fault the place.
The location is perfectly situated downtown, the room was well appointed and confortable. The art deco aesthetic is everything! Very hospitable staff, I would definitely come back on my next trip out here.

The accommodation seemed old, but it was in good condition. The only downside was that the bathroom didn't drain properly. It's fine for a short overnight stay.
Great hotel, the staff super friendly and service is amazing. Just a little nitpick is the placement of the TV position is a little odd
But the room is super spacious and with a little balcony that faces the seaside which makes winter night viewing in Iceland just on another level entierly
The shower was so tiny; the shower head is not adjustable so my hair got wet every time I got in the shower, the shower curtain clung to my body, and the water got all over the bathroom floor
Also, if you smoke, at night you may be left at the porch in subzero temperatures, if the night shift person is doing errands and isn't there to let you back in when you've finished smoking
The location is on the outskirts of the very busiest part of downtown Reykjavik, but still central and a stones throw from the ocean walkway

Room on small size but typical outside of USA. Clean with all basic amenities. Hotel has almost everything but gym/pool. Full continental breakfast is provided. Would stay again when we return for northern lights!
The Hotel Klettur is a delightful place to stay while you're in Iceland. The staff was extremely helpful especially in my moments of confusion with walking directions
I did have the free breakfast with my stay and was very happy with the offerings
It’s location in my opinion was perfect and the neighborhood was very walkable, with many places to shop and eat including a grocery store around the corner
The staff was great: helpful and courteous. The rooms get pretty hot with the heat running but you can crack open a small window in the room. Showers have adjustable height shower heads
The room size was decent, much better than what you'd find in popular European cities. The location is convenient, it's about a 30-minute walk to the cathedral or the pier.

This hotel is in the best location- very close to rainbow street, bus stops, grocery store, second hand store, and much more! Even being in the middle of everything it is quiet and homey feeling
Hotel was on a very central location. We were provided with all kinds of amenities. The morning breakfast had so much variety. Supermarkets and other shops were on the same street
The family room had everything for cooking and it was extremely spacious and comfortable.
Extremely cozy, charming, and well thought out
One night the bar next door had renovations going on untill gone past midnight which kept us awake as it was against our room wall. Spoke to the receptionist the next morning and they sent and had words with them for us

Reykjavik, Armuli 9, Haaleiti, 108 Reykyavik, Stolichnaya oblast, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever travelling to Reykjavík, and here’s why. Arrival: When you arrive, you are welcomed into a warm and quiet atmosphere
The reception desk is on the left, with comfortable sofas and seating directly in front of you. The reception staff are very helpful and assisted us with directions to get into downtown Reykjavík
Rooms: Upon entering the room, you are greeted with comfortable, tidy beds (depending on how many guests are staying) and a neatly kept bathroom with all the essentials, including: A shower Plenty of towels Toilet paper Soaps Next to the bed is a bedside table with a convenient iPhone charging lamp, which is very easy to use — you simply place your phone against the X-shaped holder
Around four metres in front of the beds, there is a tray with tea, coffee, sugar, and similar items, along with a mini fridge. A mirror is placed near the bed, although I felt it could have been cleaned a little better
Service: The breakfast area offers a paid buffet breakfast in the mornings, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The bar also has a happy hour, which I believe runs from 5pm to 6pm, offering both drinks and food
Depending on the room size, there is also a table and chair, which is ideal for reading or relaxing. A modern, high-tech telephone is also provided in the room

But all these negatives are only really bothersome if one uses the room for an extended time: if you are able to leave to eat somewhere else and don't plan on sitting for hours in your room - then it is a perfect retreat to clean up and get some rest between two adventure-filled days
Seldom to leave a comment, but my stay was Superb at the Storm hotel! Firstly - The hotel is located right next to the major bus stop #12 where many tours pick up/drop off there, it’s such a convenient location
Secondly - Very clean, warm and spacious hotel room, with very helpful staff members. In fact, I left my item at the hotel after checking out and only realized it after a few days
Location is perfect with the 12 bus stop right outside the hotel. Less than a minute walk to the harbour and the high street. Highly recommend this hotel
Excellent hotel stay overall from a UK and HK travellers. Clean room, nice shower and bathroom, housekeeping was very tidy. Very good location close to the city centre and BSI bus terminal was 25 mins walk away
I reached out to them and got a swift reply (Thanks!) Thirdly - breakfast was amazing as well

The location was perfect as well: very close to the city center and well connected to the bus station for the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you, Exeter Hotel, for a wonderful stay!
From the moment we met him, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Every time we approached him with a question or needed recommendations, he went above and beyond with patience and kindness
The lobby felt super cozy with its lovely Christmas decorations, we really enjoyed spending time there as a group. It was also extremely convenient to have a bar, restaurant, and bakery all in the same building
A fantastic and modern hotel on the harbour in Reykjavik. A particular highlight was the food at the bakery and the Le Kock restaurant. Our room was really modern and had everything we needed
That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us and perfectly captures the level of care and hospitality he provides. Exeter Hotel is lucky to have someone like Czarek representing them
He didn’t just do his job and made us feel truly welcomed and valued. On our last day, he even surprised us with two of Reykjavík’s special donuts that are only made once a year

Very clean, pleasant accommodations. Staff was friendly, and helpful if you needed any sort of assistance. Great place to stay, walking distance to most shops and bars with one inside of the Hostel itself
The kitchen was a dirty disaster from people being pigs and not cleaning up properly. There were fabric seat cushions in the kitchen that we're practically black with stains and grime
Was a little crowded at one point as they had three big groups in, but they managed the breakfast sittings well. Good food in the packed lunches and for dinner was very good
The students stayed in dorms which served the purpose and were clean with shared showers. Staff had comfortable rooms on the same floor or better rooms in the hotel above
I would definitely stay there again, but would probably inquire into getting a private room
The location is really great - walking distance to the city center, but also one of the main stops for any tours/excursions that include ground transportation
