Staff were friendly and location is just right in the middle of the city centre. However, there is only one microwave, one kettle and one fridge shared among all people so there might be some waiting time when making food. There is also no stove for cooking, so you can only microwave stuff to eat.

Nice hotel off the city center but walkable. Room comfortable enough for 4 people. It was like a duplex with 4 comfortable twin beds. Bathroom kind of small. Room did have some hot springs odor that was not pleasant but nothing overwhelming. Staff nice and courteous. Breakfast was very simple continental but lacked more types of bread or danishes.

The reception staff is helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily. On excursions, given the hotel's location, we're the first to arrive home! However, there are no refrigerators in the rooms and no shops nearby.

This is a self-service hotel, so there's no front desk. However, the facilities are brand new, and the room isn't small. It even has its own parking garage, which makes for a very comfortable stay. In Iceland, where hotel prices are extremely high, this is a decent place to stay. The location is good, the room is small but clean, and the heating is sufficient. However, the hotel door closes after 11 pm and is opened after guests ring a bell, but the front desk staff were asleep, which wasn't good for making guests wait outside in the cold for a long time.

Great hotel, the staff super friendly and service is amazing. Just a little nitpick is the placement of the TV position is a little odd. But the room is super spacious and with a little balcony that faces the seaside which makes winter night viewing in Iceland just on another level entierly.

We were looking for a cheaper option in the city. The hotel was adequate, but with the limited rooms there was no staff to support. Door “keys” are punch codes, which were not responsive, it took many attempts with the codes to get into our room each time. Easy drive to downtown tourist area.

It was like a DIY motel with no one on duty most of the day. You had to have a code to enter. I called ahead about early check in and was told it would depend on availability. However when we got there, no one was there and we couldn't use our code at the entrance until exactly 3:00. The breakfast was great.

I had a really nice stay at this hostel in Iceland. The location was great and it was easy to get around. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and warm, which was perfect after spending the day outside exploring.

I really liked staying at this hotel. I stayed on the 4th floor to get the larger room. The other reviews are correct, the slant ceiling is no joke. This is not a room for tall people. Points of note- The hotel is approximately 2 miles from the centre of Reykjavik. The rate of experience definitely is dar better than the pat review. Farooq was a great host, incredibly friendly and fantastically knowledgeable on all things Iceland even though he hails from West Yorkshire.
