Chose Cabin for our last night in Iceland, primarily because of the shuttle bus to the airport, but I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The front desk staff made check-in a breeze, and they even used a translation app on their phone if there were any English communication difficulties. Although the room was small, it was very cozy. The location is also fantastic, right by the sea, just 100 meters...
Extremely affordable hotel in reykjavik with a convenient carpark. Unfortunately the room wasn't very big and had no kettle. There is a very convenient kronan walking distance from the hotel.
Location is good have supermarket nearby.
The biggest plus of this hotel is its direct access to the airport bus. It's also quite convenient, about a 10-minute walk to the bus stop for all day tours. Across the street, there's a public bus that goes directly to Rainbow Street, the Cathedral, and other places, costing around 38 RMB (about 38RMB by credit card) per ride. Just a 5-minute walk to the left from the hotel entrance, there's a fairly...
Great location. clean room. perfect for couples.
This place is great! You can take the airport shuttle directly to the hotel, and tour groups pick up right from here too. It's close to the beach, and you only have to walk about 500 meters to see the Northern Lights!!!

I stayed in REK inn for two days and highly recommend it. The room was very clean and the location was great, easily accessible by walk and public transport, not far front the city center, and next to the Bonus supermarket. The cost was great comparing to Icelandic standards. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay here the next time I visit Reykjavik!
The room here is quite silence and you can park your car freely outside the building. I mean at the other side of the street. I have seen the first snow in Iceland how beautiful we’re here and you can see the bonus supermarket near here. It’s only about several steps away from here.
A great place, easy to get to and ideal for providing a base to head off North West or to the south of the island. We had the double room with ensuite bathroom, clean, tidy & ideal for the two of us. Shared kitchen was good for breakfasts, couldn't comment on the the rest of the available facilities as we ate out most of the time so didnt need to use them. Free parking was a definite bonus as was Bonus...
Great hotel at a great price compared to everywhere else. It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the city centre but worth it for the quality and price. The room was clean and the area was quiet.
We stayed at that property for 3 nights. The self-check-in instructions were clear and easy, and had been sent one day in advance. It was a simple room on the ground floor in a house with a shared kitchen. Yet we had a bathroom in the room. It generally took 20 minutes to get to the town hall on foot. There was a comfortable bed, a TV, a small coffee table and a hanger in the room. The private bathroom...
Very close to the city centre, nice and quiet neighbourhood, with supermarket next door. Kitchen available to be used on site was perfect!

I stayed here for a week in a mixed dorm room, and overall, it was a pretty comfy experience. The dorms were clean and, surprisingly, very quiet. I chatted with a few people, but mostly kept to myself. The best part? The dorm was never full during my stay, and for a few nights, I even had it all to myself - which was a nice little bonus! The biggest downside is the location. It's quite out of the...
Good to stay on a budget. The breakfast is fine and the stafff are helpful and bedrooms fine got to socialise with people over the world however the shower I was having problems getting the right temperature
For what it is, it's fine i guess. The room and the shower was clean, the rest not so much. The tables sticky, the floor old and thus not very appealing. Take care of your food! Ours was stolen from the fridge by other tourists. Not really a fault of the motel but still very uncool. If you are a light sleeper, the you shouldn't stay here! The road is very noisy. Not a problem for me but something to...
Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm. I decided to go for a walk around 9am and the young lady behind the counter put my bag with her and watched it while i did that. they ended up being able to check me in around 10am. Was quite dirty when I arrived...
The hostel was pretty nice, the staff was helpful but not friendly at all. The kitchen was good, bathrooms clean. The only bad thing is that the beds are so extremely noisy, every time someone change slepping position 'even carefully', all the people inside the room note it. Breakfast is normal, but, it is better to buy something in bonus and cook it.
Stayed in a 16 person shared room. Room was clean and so was the bedding. Cleaning staff came in around 9:30am to start cleaning the common kitchen/bathroom areas. There were utensils and cooking supplies for solo travellers to use which was nice! Comfortable common spaces. The bedroom did smell slightly bad, I would argue that it was most probably because of the other guests hanging wet clothing/towels...

Stayed here for a single night as I was flying out of the domestic airport the next day and wanted somewhere near the domestic airport. If you want a night for a relatively low cost then this place is great value for money. I was in a room with my own toilet and shower, but there are alternatives in the guesthouse. My room was relatively clean and warm for January, I didn't have much noise despite...
Good and easy communication, clean rooms, free coffee and tea in kitchen area, and parking on street
Pros: Only a 15-minute walk from Reykjavik, and free parking is available outside the accommodation. Cons: Located on the basement floor, the accommodation had a strong damp smell. The toilet had no heating, making showering extremely cold.
Perfect place if you need to get the bus to Keflavik airport early in the morning. 15-20min walk to city center, depending on pace and where you're going. Super easy self check-in and check-out. I arrived in the evening and did not see any person related to property. Booked the room just for one night. My room had en suite bathroom and was a bit on the basement with windows a bit above ground level...
A great location to stay if you need to take an early bus to the airport. It is located across the street from the BSI station. About 20 minutes walk into the main town. You will be given a code to check in and drop the key on your way out. They were flexible and let me leave my luggage before my check in time. I had a room with two twin beds. One was a bit soft but the other one was perfect...

Very cosy and comfy place in Reykjavik. We stayed here for 2 nights. Self check-in was very easy. The kitchen is well equipped and rooms is very comfy. The location is close to the city Center so you can go walking to all the places like the church, rainbow street. The place is very quiet as well.
Decent guesthouse at convenient location (10 mins walk from city center). Overall the whole building is very well maintained and clean. The kitchen is quite small for the amount of people that can stay here, but otherwise very well equipped. There are plenty of showers and toilets, all in great shape! Our room was super small, no place whatsoever to put our bags. Very inconvenient if you stay longer...

Even though the room was small, it was cozy and comfortable. The showroom was a bit old, but other than that, a very good value for money and the breakfast was amazing!!  Thank you very much. We’d love to stay again.
Excellent pancakes! Incredibly delicious breakfast.
This place made our trip to Iceland perfect. The host is a gentle and introverted man, but you can feel his passion for hospitality in the way he welcomes you. He truly did his best to make us feel at home. The breakfast was a highlight, particularly the pancakes which were amazing. Thank you for the wonderful memories!
Lovely place full of an old fashioned Icelandic charm. The one thing I have against it is the red ants. They were in the room and breakfast area. They bite too!
Wonderful, helpful, delicious breakfast-comfortable bed- very happy and would stay there again—I lost my key to my suitcase and the host got tools to help me break my lock! Such relief!

The view from the room was spectacular. We had a car and access to Reykjavík and out of town for sightseeing was very easy.
We had a room on floor 1. It was comfortable. The bed and shower/bathroom were good. It was clean. But note that this is budget accommodation with a worn headboard, old kitchen units, a bust window opener, a loose tap and a poorly secured fridge. Doubt much maintenance is done hence the cheaper price. It was in an unbeatable location, though, easy to park and just 15 minutes into downtown Reykjavik...
As 4 travelers, it was great to have a place we could all have our own beds without getting more than one room. Grocery right across the street, 1 block off the main bus line, a nice restaurant a couple doors down. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was ok. The bathroom was a bit of a mess—the shower didn’t drain properly and didn’t have a proper door. Dirty water pooled everywhere whenever we took a shower. The water all smelled sulfur-y and had a strong sulfur taste, so we ended up buying a bunch of bottled water from the grocery store. We were only there 2 nights but ran out of basics in the shower like soap. That being said, it’s...
Contact free flat. Clear instructions given on how to enter the property. Nice not to have to worry about taking a key out when exploring. I was so happy with my stay! We had an issue with some people near our room, but a staff member helped us immediately and even moved us to the best room in the house. We were so grateful for their kind and understanding attitude. I could truly feel their support and willingness to help. The room was clean with no problems at all, and the breakfasts were great! Such a cozy spot! Very clean, comfy beds. Host was very quick to respond to email. Loved the shared living space, fast wifi. Kitchen had everything we needed and more! A short walk down town, would definitely recommend.
Very cosy place. They have warm rooms all the time. Big comfort kitchen and a lobby with a lovely cat. The location is perfect for short walks to the center. They have always warm coffee for the guests. The rooms are clean and the shared bathroom is clean with warm water all the time. I would definitely recommend it and i will come back to this next time.
Located just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Baldursbra guesthouse is ideal for the budget traveller, the rooms a quite big, and the room we had a small sink and mirror for brushing you teeth before bed or doing makeup. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were spotless, I couldn't have asked for more.

Very cosy place, a bit small, so I would only recommend it if you're planning to only sleep there. Got a nice gift when I entered my room. The location is a bit hidden in between buildings, but you will get a mail with good directions before you are able to check in. Very friendly owner, and she will contact you if needed. Basically wouldn't expect more for this generous price
The hotel had poor soundproofing and no front desk, so those who don't speak English well should probably think twice before choosing it. The owner was very nice and let me check in early. It's very close to the church. After taking the airport bus to the last stop, it's about a kilometer away. I took a taxi, which cost 90 RMB.
Our room was 102. King bed. Very clean. Shared bathroom, but not a problem.
The location is the big plus for this property, however, if you want quiet between 8pm - 11pm, this is not ideal without ear plugs due to live music at the local bars. The property details do not specifically say it's a shared bathroom/shower so that was a surprise. The property also provided the door code to the wrong door so I was glad I had a working phone and they answered promptly to provide...
Very cute and cozy house in the city centre of Reykjavik. The kitchen is very basic but it had all we needed. Room was spacious and clean. The house is very quiet but you can hear noise from the other rooms on the same floor. There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply.
Good location, very clean and convenient check-in. The room is small, and since it's an attic, the roof is slanted, so it's easy to hit your head if you're not careful. There is a small open space outside the window with a nice view.

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I went here. Max is the best! I came to Iceland with absolutely no plan, just to see a friend. The location is great and really close to the heart of the city, but still relatively quiet.

Centrally located, easy to walk to the centre of town. Despite this, it is remarkably quiet. Clean. Room was very clean and bright. This hostel is located in an older building - the rooms were great, the kitchen and bathrooms need some updating. The bathrooms were a little musty and toilets were coming to the end of their life. Kitchen microwave is old and slow.
Oveall good place for our family of 4 with good beds and ammenities. Sound proofing wasnt great as street noise was quite loud. When i tried to use the stovetop the power went out due to a vlown breaker, forcing me to use the shared kitchen vs the private one in our suite (after i found the breaker box and reset it), so that was inconvenient.
This is a gorgeous little guesthouse in easy walking distance to all the major attractions and sites in Reykjavik. The house is quiet, with a sleek bathroom, neat bedrooms, underfloor heating, and a spacious kitchen/living area. There is a step from the road down to the front door and two biggish steps from the door down to the floor itself but they are not hard to manage (even with a buggy).

Plus side it was closer to larger stores you may want supplies from (big grocery/costco/etc) and it was easier to hit the road to drive out to tour different sites. Parking was free if you can find it, but there...
Unfortunately, a bit unfriendly in the restaurant, but the food was great.
Convenient and clean with a functional kitchen making breakfast an easy option to start off the day

Reykjavik, 17 Vesturgata (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Room was clean and well supplied, staff-free facility, security, lighting seemed adequate, good location for me.
The room was a good size and very clean. The only slightly negative thing was not enough coat hangers but other than that, a great stay
The bed was comfortable and the room warm however there is no cooking facilities and my apps. wouldn't recognise the old TV nor were there free to air availability. Location was good, staff inattentive though.
Close to dining ,shopping ,.. clean comfortable room easy check in and check out small refrigerator, electric kettle, coffee maker that wr didnt use good communication
Very nice guesthouse with excellent, service oriented staff. Functional kitchen, amenities and clean common areas.
Towels were provided in the room but it is shared toilets. Things were generally clean but quite worn. Communication from the property was prompt and in advance which was good.
