Reykjavik, Sigtun 28 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Stay here twice. 2nd best hotel in our 10-days Iceland trip.
Best! Staffs very helpful, especially Geogrey, he is really very good helping us when we missed our tour one morning. Room size is good! Bathroom is best! Highly recommended.
Everything was great except for the slightly out-of-the-way location. The facilities were complete, breakfast was plentiful, and the service was attentive and enthusiastic.
This is my first time visiting Iceland, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample room and a big, cozy bathroom. The reception staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Iceland in the future.
The hotel is located in what's arguably the most popular area for hotels in Iceland. It's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor, museums, and shopping spots. The rooms are quite spacious, but the bed was a bit too soft for my liking.
Had a great stay at this hotel. The booking was meant to be for a twin room but initially was given a double. After a bit of searching the staff managed to sort out a twin room for us. On checking out I'd left my Bluetooth headphones in the room. E-mailed the hotel and the headphones had been found and were posted back to me at my expense. Would definitely recommend

Great place to stay and enjoyed both the sauna and gym facilities a lot~
Very good hotel! a bit walk to city center but it s very good walking along way very nice!
The hotel is very close to the city center, especially since we rented a car, and there are plenty of supermarkets and shops nearby. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious dinner, and the breakfast is surprisingly rich, even offering instant noodles!
The hotel parking lot is very large.
Friendly staff, the hotel room is a lil bit old
This business trip was quite comfortable; the service was excellent, and the overall experience was great.

The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel. Room is clean and well renovated. It is spacious too.
If you want to be in the old harbor area this is the spot. Great staff, very much my kind of place and interesting non chain vibe. Lots of Construction close by and across from us a ship was being repaired so the Old Harbor still has some authenticity but most of it. It’s been turned over to tourist attractions. Was there in Winter but I suspect. in the summer, the place would be very busy.
After being whisked away to Iceland for a 'special' birthday the 4 nights we had here were great. The hotel is ideally situated, just out of the main hustle and bustle, easily reached by a 5-10 minute walk, even being so close to a working port it was really quiet (the engineers working on the ship on the slipway didn't start work until after 8!) Breakfast was varied and plentiful! All the staff were...
Good location, receptionist help me a lot by booking my tour and my airport transfer. Great location near to bus stops
The Mariner Hotel is an exceptional establishment. The staff are friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and assisting with bookings for trips and excursions. Originally Iceland’s only paint factory, the hotel has been meticulously transformed into a modern and practical accommodation. The buffet style breakfast offers a wide selection of food to suit all tastes. The restaurant is consistently...
The hotel is right by the old wharf, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Plus, there's a Piggy Mart nearby, which is great for grabbing food. On top of that, it's just a 3-minute walk to the shuttle bus station for all the major tour companies.

This room type is incredibly spacious, especially for Northern Europe. The decor is elegant, and having a microwave in the kitchen is a big plus. It's located on the basement level, and both the room and dining area have doors that open out to a small patio.
The hotel windows couldn't be opened, but the location was great, right on the street with P2 and P3 parking lots across the way. The room was a bit small, and the value for money was slightly low, but it was clean, parking was good, and the staff were friendly.
The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It's also close to bus stations #2 and #3, which is great for catching local tour buses. The hotel is clean and comfortable, definitely recommended!
Very comfortable and spacious room. Great location, 5 minute walk to Rainbow Street and many great food options. Right across the street from FlyBus pickup/drop off station.
Hotel  location is perfect, just at the central of the city!
Excellent hotel. Room is big in Icelandic standard. Excellent breakfast with ample options. Staffs who went out of their way to provide assistance. Best hotel stayed in Iceland.

Hi, we stayed for 3 nights and the experience was overall good. The city centre is half an hour walking from the hotel but the reception team helped us to find the local transportation routes and taxi services.
stayed at this hotel while visiting Iceland from Canada, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless, welcoming, and thoughtfully done. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always happy to help and genuinely invested in making my stay comfortable. Every detail felt intentional, from the comfort of the bed to the overall atmosphere...
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are ever travelling to Reykjavík, and here’s why. Arrival: When you arrive, you are welcomed into a warm and quiet atmosphere. The reception desk is on the left, with comfortable sofas and seating directly in front of you. The reception staff are very helpful and assisted us with directions to get into downtown Reykjavík. If you have a lot of luggage or prefer...

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable. If you are lucky enough to have Emily on the front desk you will truly be in great hands. She helped us enormously and her recommendations were spot on. Thank you
We spent the night there on the day of our wedding - I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Pick it for the location - in downtown Reykjavik (beautifully lit with fairy lights during winter) with lots of traditional houses, close to a main bus stop (for tours) and in walking distance of restaurants and the harbour. This hotel is such a cute place with simple, modern rooms which are quiet at night. To get there from the airport, buy a Flybus ticket (right by the exit in arrivals) and go to...
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Reykjavík Centrum and would definitely give it 5 stars. I strongly recommend that hotel. Yes, it is overpriced but it is the average value in Reykjavik as well. Breakfast is perfect and the staff is kind.
Great hotel, location couldn't be better, spotlessly clean, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. The receptionist (I think she was called Kristýna) was super helpful with ideas on where to visit, she was an absolute super star! Would definitely stay here again.
Amazing hotel. Beds were super comfortable, lovely and warm (and I'm really fussy!) Staff were very friendly and always happy to answer questions. Service of the room is on request which is a brilliant idea no one changes crying every day at home! Breakfast was fresh and ample. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the hotel after getting off from the stop assigned by the Flybus plus services. Yet, the hotel is close to the city centre with lots of shops & restaurants nearby. The cleanliness and the breakfast is very general.
The hotel staff were all realy friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, 5 min walk from the main bus stops and right on the high street. This is a self-service hotel, so there's no front desk. However, the facilities are brand new, and the room isn't small. It even has its own parking garage, which makes for a very comfortable stay. The location isn't in the city center, but it's not far either – about a seven or eight-minute drive. Getting around is super convenient, as there's a bus stop right downstairs. Definitely recommended.
This is a self-check-in hotel. The breakfast is simple but filling, and the environment is quite nice. There's a parking lot, but you need a code to enter.
The breakfast was very impressive!
The room was clean and cozy, and there's a supermarket conveniently located near the hotel. The indoor parking was a huge plus, making parking very easy. The breakfast had a great variety, and the hotel staff were very friendly.
Location a slightly away from city centre however it’s convenient with car. Car park is available at basement with limited space. Breakfast was ok overall. The waffle and jam is delicious. Self check in but we didn’t encounter any issue during our late check in around 10pm.
Self service in everything , good location and worth it for the price you paid .

The front staff were friendly and always available. The room and all bedding were clean. The bathrooms were of a public restroom style and the showers were in a locker room style. The kitchen area was a bit cramped for countertop space with no place to store non-refrigerated foods. The refrigerator was packed full and was hard to find room for my items. The location and price were great.
A good hostel/hotel. The students stayed in dorms which served the purpose and were clean with shared showers. Staff had comfortable rooms on the same floor or better rooms in the hotel above. Was a little crowded at one point as they had three big groups in, but they managed the breakfast sittings well. Good food in the packed lunches and for dinner was very good.
Very clean, pleasant accommodations. Staff was friendly, and helpful if you needed any sort of assistance. Great place to stay, walking distance to most shops and bars with one inside of the Hostel itself. I would definitely stay there again, but would probably inquire into getting a private room.
The location is really great - walking distance to the city center, but also one of the main stops for any tours/excursions that include ground transportation. Beds were clean and comfy though the photos online make the (hostel) rooms look a bit more luxury than they actually are. The bathrooms (specifically the showers) were not great - tiny shower stalls with vinyl curtains that you have to try not...
The lobby, bar, bistro and lounge areas are wonderful. But the rooms, kitchens, bathrooms are yucky. At least four outlets in the 12 bed room didn't work. At least two of the bed lamps didn't work. The kitchen was a dirty disaster from people being pigs and not cleaning up properly. There were fabric seat cushions in the kitchen that we're practically black with stains and grime. The staff were incredibly kind helpful, I arrived 8 hrs too early for check in and they let me stay in the socializing room while I waited for a bed and allowed me to store my things if I had wanted to leave. Amazing services and the staff was very helpful and really nice throughout our stay thank you again and will definitely try to book if we come back here again :)
Lovely hotel in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to everything. The hotel was immaculate, the room was great and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was awesome! Bring your own conditioner if you use that because they only give you shampoo and you only get liquid bath gel so also bring soap if you like that instead. Good hotel, quite centrally located, with ample parking right on site. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the seating there was a bit awkward – you sit too low and it's too soft.
We had a lovely stay at Hotel Muli. Patricia, who checked us in on 1st January, was very kind and helpful. After arriving on an early-morning flight, it was really nice to be greeted with a smile. Even better, our room was ready, so we were able to check in early. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The hotel room was clean and spacious, with enough room to open multiple suitcases. It included breakfast and complimentary hot drinks available at all times. There was also a dining area with utensils. The location is a bit far from the city center, but easily accessible by bus.
Very strong smell of chlorine when entered the room including chlorine smell on the towels. No cleaning services or bed sheet changing ( we stayed 2 nights ), the receptionist told us it's the policy and if we would like it changed we should go get the bed sheet/towels they provided by ourselves which was not mentioned when checked-in or when we booked. Great location, free on-street parking. They had a hair dryer and it was comfortable.
It was in a quiet residential area, and it felt safe.
We were looking for a cheaper option in the city. The hotel was adequate, but with the limited rooms there was no staff to support. Door “keys” are punch codes, which were not responsive, it took many attempts with the codes to get into our room each time. Easy drive to downtown tourist area.
It was like a DIY motel with no one on duty most of the day. You had to have a code to enter. I called ahead about early check in and was told it would depend on availability. The official website advertised luggage storage, but it wasn't available, completely disrupting my travel plans. The staff's service was also very poor. The location is remote, with no proper roads for loading and unloading luggage; I had to carry heavy luggage up stairs covered in snow. However, the room was beautifully decorated, the heating was good, and the bathtub was nice.
Very cool, quiet place. Downtown is a 20 minute drive away. 40 to Thingavellir park. There's no reception, but check-in was easy. Bed and pillow were comfortable (subjective). Hot tub was great since it was snowing. We had a great time.
This was WAY overpriced for what it was. I didn't expect it to be so close to the freeway. The windows weren't even see through. This honestly felt like a scam
Stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 in the Krafla Dome. Lovely experience, nice and cosy and well equipped. Hot tub needed topped up with water and 2 men came within 5-10 minutes after I phoned and topped it up. Would definitely recommend a stay here, it was a nice way to end our busy 4 days exploring this beautiful country.
I was expecting rustic but at least thought it would have a door. Nice place, good bed, warm. Wood stove even though we found out wood is a premium in iceland.
Clean room, amazing views, comfy beds. We enjoyed the extra touch of champagne and macaroons left for us. Coffee was also there, no need to purchase and bring with you. The code entry for the door worked well. And hreyfill taxi service knows how to get you to and from the Domes and Reykjavik. Be sure to schedule with the taxi the night before you want to leave to avoid a wait.

Ideal for a quick stop before traveling on. Ideal location right next to Hallgrimskirkja church. Easy walk or bus to down town, where loads of restraints. Only 1 pillow which was very flat and toilet could do with a bit more of a clean. But generally very nice room.
Given an 'Average' rating, but this was perfectly acceptable for what we paid for the room. Very convenient for the town center (an easy walk down to road puts you on the high street), well placed for bus/taxi pick-up and put-down. Good value for money.
Not really a hotel. No TV or Kettle. Kitchenette with sink and microwave? Breakfast not available until after 09:00 in the Vietnam restaurant which also acts as the reception! Good location though. Bed & bathroom clean, but with a couple of cockroaches

I stayed here for a week in a mixed dorm room, and overall, it was a pretty comfy experience. The dorms were clean and, surprisingly, very quiet. For what it is, it's fine i guess. The room and the shower was clean, the rest not so much. The tables sticky, the floor old and thus not very appealing. Take care of your food! Nothing worse than a dorm room. I got to the hostel very very early in the morning (around 5am) and the staff in the kitchen let me sit in the restaurant and wait until i could check in at 2pm. The hostel was pretty nice, the staff was helpful but not friendly at all. The kitchen was good, bathrooms clean. The only bad thing is that the beds are so extremely noisy, every time someone change slepping position 'even carefully', all the people inside the room note it. Breakfast is normal, but, it is better to buy something in bonus and cook it.
Stayed in a 16 person shared room. Room was clean and so was the bedding. Cleaning staff came in around 9:30am to start cleaning the common kitchen/bathroom areas. There were utensils and cooking supplies for solo travellers to use which was nice! Comfortable common spaces. The room here is quite silence and you can park your car freely outside the building. I mean at the other side of the street. I have seen the first snow in Iceland how beautiful we’re here and you can see the bonus supermarket near here. It’s only about several steps away from here.
A great place, easy to get to and ideal for providing a base to head off North West or to the south of the island. We had the double room with ensuite bathroom, clean, tidy & ideal for the two of us. Shared kitchen was good for breakfasts, couldn't comment on the the rest of the available facilities as we ate out most of the time so didnt need to use them. Free parking was a definite bonus as was Bonus...

There was a comfortable bed, a TV, a small coffee table and a hanger in the room. The private bathroom...
Very close to the city centre, nice and quiet neighbourhood, with supermarket next door. Kitchen available to be used on site was perfect!
