Guest houses with pool in Reykjavik

It was a good experience in Iceland however there’s very less amenities which is only beds toilet in the room and even there’s no microwave in the hotel.

The bed in the room was too soft, and I woke up with a backache. Also, the customer service was too slow to respond, and the room was completely empty.

It’s a very good location with decent price. The postcards are the cheapest I can find in the city. You’ll have access to nice food place from there.

As location is in City, parking is an issue and extra cost. Shared showers were a mixture of standards. Kitchen was not regularly cleaned.

Booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 6 people. 3 bedrooms on 2nd floor and one sofa bed on G/F. Narrow stairs and only 1 toilet on G/F. Weak water pressure in bathroom. ✅washing machine ❎turbo dry BEWARE! No parking at the entrance. I got a fine while parking my car over there.

Such a cozy spot! Very clean, comfy beds. Host was very quick to respond to email. Loved the shared living space, fast wifi. Kitchen had everything we needed and more! A short walk down town, would definitely recommend.

Very cosy place. They have warm rooms all the time. Big comfort kitchen and a lobby with a lovely cat. The location is perfect for short walks to the center. They have always warm coffee for the guests. The rooms are clean and the shared bathroom is clean with warm water all the time. I would definitely recommend it and i will come back to this next time.

Located just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Baldursbra guesthouse is ideal for the budget traveller, the rooms a quite big, and the room we had a small sink and mirror for brushing you teeth before bed or doing makeup. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were spotless, I couldn't have asked for more.

Good: Location is close to where Airport bus 55 stops, about 250m away. Rooms are large, warm and has one fridge and kettle. Common kitchen is clean, has pots, cutlery, bowls, plates, cups. Check in is self serve (find your name and room number on the white board) but staff respond quickly if you message them. Bad: Room door is very very hard to open. Very cosy place, a bit small, so I would only recommend it if you're planning to only sleep there. Got a nice gift when I entered my room. The location is a bit hidden in between buildings, but you will get a mail with good directions before you are able to check in. Very friendly owner, and she will contact you if needed. Basically wouldn't expect more for this generous price

The hotel had poor soundproofing and no front desk, so those who don't speak English well should probably think twice before choosing it. The owner was very nice and let me check in early. It's very close to the church. After taking the airport bus to the last stop, it's about a kilometer away. I took a taxi, which cost 90 RMB.

Our room was 102. King bed. Very clean. Shared bathroom, but not a problem.

The location is the big plus for this property, however, if you want quiet between 8pm - 11pm, this is not ideal without ear plugs due to live music at the local bars. The property details do not specifically say it's a shared bathroom/shower so that was a surprise. Very cute and cozy house in the city centre of Reykjavik. The kitchen is very basic but it had all we needed. Room was spacious and clean. The house is very quiet but you can hear noise from the other rooms on the same floor. There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply.

Good location, very clean and convenient check-in. The room is small, and since it's an attic, the roof is slanted, so it's easy to hit your head if you're not careful. There is a small open space outside the window with a nice view.

Was booked last minute due to original accommodation cancellation the day before arrival. Nice place, great location but very poor nights sleep due to poor sound proofing both inside and out. Ear plugs were provided but even with these sleep was broken from late night check ins and late night conversations from people walking by. I suspect the upper floor rooms would be better. Not as long as I thought it would be, beautiful and bright, shops on either side, lovely little gift shops, places to eat and get a coffee,very pretty and unique, keep walking past the colours and it leads you right to the hallgrimsta

Is tidy and clean... kitchen is full of kitchenware which provide for us to cook ourself. Nice loc, close with Laugavegur, also able to walk to Harpa concert hall. Near with Bonus supermarket also. Just don’t have free carpark.

We had a great experience staying at Rainbow Guesthouse. The house is very clean and orderly. The location is absolutely perfect! It is in the heart of the city and only minutes walk from many of the fun things to do. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be staying here again when we return!

Entry was a bit rundown and 2 flights of stairs to climb. Facilities clean and quiet. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Check-in instructions clear and easy to follow. Good location for shopping, restaurants and bus pickup.

Sleeping was challenging The guesthouse has no control over the music coming from the street (teenagers playing loud music across the street until very late at night) or the bar downstairs, nor can they do anything about the noise of the pipes. While a bit cozy and squeaky in places, this was an affordable space for my family in the heart of Reykjavik - close to everything we wanted to see.

The location is okay, there are several good restaurants nearby, but the overall environment is poor, maybe because the building is old. The heating was not very good and the room was very cold. There is no elevator, so you need to carry your suitcase upstairs. All in all I don't think it's worth it compared to the price of ninety pounds a night.

Great spot in downtown Reykjavik. Bus stops just outside to get around the city, to/from the airport. Easy walk to the main city centre, waterfront, and more.

This place was great. I was a little worried because I thought it was someone's actual house but I was able to come and go as I pleased at all hours without fear of bothering anyone. It had the privacy of a hotel but the feeling of being home. I'm planning my next trip and I'm for sure staying here again!
