Great location near the centre of town and also walkable to the flybus bus station ghat takes you to the airport. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room, clean and spacious.
Location/Transportation: Near the Ha Church, about 10 minutes walk from the airport bus station Lobby/Front Desk: Simple. Good service! Room: Deluxe Twin Room, spacious, private bathroom. There is a refrigerator and a kettle. No napkins, slippers, or toothbrushes. Sanitary conditions: Very clean and tidy Breakfast: Simple meal, richer than usual at home. Sufficient nutrition. Overall it was good, especially the cathedral was so close, I felt safe living in this place, the bedding was also very good and comfortable. I just felt that my deluxe double room was not luxurious enough, and it was a little different from the price I paid before and after. The breakfast was too thin, and it was prepared in advance according to the order I chose the day before and placed on a tray...
This hotel is in a very good location in Reykjavik city centre.
This hotel is right next to the Reykjavik Cathedral. There are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel entrance. It also provides a kitchen, a public lounge, and a large room. The breakfast is also very rich.

The studio it self has a great potential but it needs a deep cleaning. The studio still had the garbage from the previous guests inside and was full of dust. Also the outside is not very welcoming (it's OK to be in the back of the house but it is not OK to have construction leftovers just outside the door/window). Apart from that the bed was comfy, you have a mini fridge and good wifi connection. You...
Best location near the heart of Reykjavik. The room is very small and the cleanliness not in the good side. However the owner is very friendly and kind.
The host was really friendly and helpful.
Very comfortable guesthouse. Friendly service and lots of help and advice if needed. I really liked my comfortable room. Nice simple, clean stay. Very close to the bus terminal. Close to the city center too.
Loved this guest house, really cheap option for a quick stopover and super close to bus stop. Great owner gave me a room when I arrived early, much appreciated. It's like a hostel, not posh, you get what you pay for. Overall I was very happy, even a little communal kitchen.
Love the place! Clean, convenient and the best part - comes with laundry and drying machines!
Hostel was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed, including considerable amount of free food.

Great place, clean and cozy. Walkable to city center and the church.
The garage was converted and it was OK; The bath water smelled of sulfur, please do not disturb if you mind; No service, but it was worth the price. Overall, it was OK and worth staying in, and the room rate was cheap.
No slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, including shampoo, laundry detergent, shower gel, etc. Check-out is very convenient, just leave the key in the lock on the door, no need to inform anyone Staff is not on duty 24 hours a day, and may not be in the hotel, you can contact by phone if necessary; they will come to the room to clean up around 3 pm local time every day The location is very convenient,...
A really great place to stay whilst staying in Iceland! The staff members were super helpful and attentive, even Fram the dog and JellyBelly the cat! The room was perfect for two of us, the beds were super comfy and room had everything we needed for our 5 nights away! Thank you for a great stay!🌌
Very nice and clean room. Contactless check-in went well and was easy. Comfortable bed and bathroom. The floor in the bathroom was heated and there was a heated towel rack, which was nice. The room was small with very little space beside the bed. There was a radiator next to the bed. I turned it off in the middle of the night as it was getting too hot. In the morning the room was like a sauna, it...
We stayed here on two separate dates. The owner was very kind and helpful. On the first stay we've got a bigger room that we've booked which was great. The rooms are clean. The small room was too small, but i guess it's a standard in Reykjavik.

Bathroom/Toilet is not as clean as expected
Noisy bathrooms audible to other rooms. Water smells too much sulphuric. Very nice kitchen and appliances.
nice and clean, but the room is not very sound-proof
The location is good. It is near the city center.
The location of the hotel is good, close to the church and Fly bus station, about ten minutes' walk. The kettle in the hotel was broken, so I had to boil water in a pot to make noodles. There is no reception staff at the hotel. There is a notice posted on the door. You need to call the hotel to get the password to open the door and then take the room key to check in on your own.
The hotel is old but well maintained and has a shared bathroom.

It's so close to the church and the Rainbow road! Quiet and peaceful place to live in. Lovely hotel!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Guesthouse Aurora, where the charm of the establishment was only matched by the warmth of its hosts. It was easy to find the hotel and my room. The code on the door was kept switching but eventually got inside. It’s not a luxury but you got everything you need. The kitchen has all basic stuff and even tea and coffee. It wasn’t busy and I felt safe there. I’m happy with my stay. A little walk down from the hotel and you reach this beautiful view which is gorgeous.
The location of the hotel is great, which is convenient to most tourists spots! The room is clean and comfortable! The service provided by the hotel is generally good as well!
Quaint little space at an awesome location. Basic amenities, good enough for a solo traveller
Good prices, good location, average room for solo traveller

Very cute and cozy house in the city centre of Reykjavik. The kitchen is very basic but it had all we needed. Room was spacious and clean. The house is very quiet but you can hear noise from the other rooms on the same floor. There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply.
Good location, very clean and convenient check-in. The room is small, and since it's an attic, the roof is slanted, so it's easy to hit your head if you're not careful. There is a small open space outside the window with a nice view.
Loved this cosy guesthouse! Was easy to find and secure. The property was immaculate and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I started with my daughter and it was perfect for us we will definitely stay there again!
The property was in an excellent location, just feet away from the main street, very warm and comfortable albeit the room was small, with a shared bathroom and shower.
Quaint stay, great location, close to everything. Only complaint is the bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but overall fine for one night
A touch bit hard to find, but quiet and right next to the hubbub of Reykjavik :)

very nice and quiet just outside the downtown. bit of a walk to the busy downtown area of Reykjavik, but if you don't mind that then its worth saving for a less crowded and easy going area. Unfortunately, a bit unfriendly in the restaurant, but the food was great.
Convenient and clean with a functional kitchen making breakfast an easy option to start off the day
This hostel was great, the rooms were small but clean and tidy and warm for a winter in Iceland. Very rarely did I have to wait to use the restroom. The cafe below is super convenient and the food is delicious. No complaints

Best host we had in Iceland for a week and that's saying something because every host we had was nice.. The house interior was beautifull and edgy, with really good taste decoration and the rooms are very comfy
We had a great 2 night stay here. We even got a surprise visit from the neighborhood resident orange kitty who waltzed into our room like he owned the place (he probably does) The room was clean and comfy. Because it was raining on and off when we stayed in Reykjavik, the central location of the guesthouse allowed us to hide from the rain whenever we needed to and take a little break. More like a backpackers hostel than a guest house. Clean but very basic - especially considering the price. Tiny bathroom (no problem for us - but a larger person would not squeeze through the shower door). There is a shared kitchen with a coffee machine which is a plus. Kind customer service on the phone - but no one on site. No place to store luggage after 11am check out time.
We really liked the room size and the private bathroom. Bed was comfortable. We were unable to open the front door using the access code provided to us via email, but it worked for the back door. The drapes in the room should extend over the entire window, but they do not. Overall a very good stay despite some minor issues.

I highly recommend Óðinn Reykjavík for their Mini-Bus Tours. The mini bus tour was very personal and the driver made us feel at home with drinks and snacks at our stops during our journey to hunt the Northern Lights. Penthouse is a quality apartment on the top floor. Nice views out into the city. Beds were comfortable and clean. We never actually met the landlord, but our stay was pleasant.
Little things let this apartment down - such as a cracked window in the smaller bedroom, the cutlery drawer broken and hanging off (we fixed it for them!), the cold tap not turning after running the hot, the promised bread and juice or milk not being there on arrival, supposed to be 3 bedrooms but actually 2 and a sofa in a cramped lounge etc.
A great little place to stay. The location is excellent, and and the accommodations are clean and comfortable.

Great location and great staff
Near city center, has free car park and few minutes walk away provided you can find an available one. Room is clean, 3 toilets with 2 showers, upstairs 1 toilet with shower. Quite a few rooms sharing the amenities. Full kitchen though a bit small.
The room is open and sunny, and the sanitation is very good. Although the environment is small, it has everything! The only drawback is that the sound insulation needs to be improved. But as a homestay, the environment is very good, very close to the city center, parking and shopping are very convenient!
Price performance 10 points, location and cleanliness are very good, there are 3 bathrooms and toilets downstairs
It was basic but very clean and quiet. For what we needed, it was great!
Booked two double rooms to welcome in the New Year in Reykjavik. Rooms were compact but very cosy, and the beds were comfortable. The shared kitchen was well appointed and very clean. The room that I stayed in was cozy & clean , the guest house is very well kept , common areas were cleaned daily . My one tiny ,small issue is that the pillow in the room were not great .
It's not a bad place at all as long as you understand that it's not going to be hotel digs for the price, which is the cheapest in town. It's old, the beds are pretty soft, and the place is like a maze - we got a room on the same floor as bathroom and showers so that wasn't a problem. Very cosy place. They have warm rooms all the time. Big comfort kitchen and a lobby with a lovely cat. The location is perfect for short walks to the center. Located just a short walk from the Cathedral, the Baldursbra guesthouse is ideal for the budget traveller, the rooms a quite big, and the room we had a small sink and mirror for brushing you teeth before bed or doing makeup. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were spotless, I couldn't have asked for more.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Reykjavík and I’ve traveled here a few times and stayed at both hotels and BnB’s - nothing compares to the warmth of Our House which really is your home away from home. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and has everything you need. The bathroom also has a sauna (!), and the rest of the facilities (kitchen, toilets,...
Cute little b&b in the heart of Reykjavík. Great price and awesome amenities, including a sauna. Kitchen was clean and well provisioned, though we only used the fridge and toaster and coffee maker.
Very well located. Close to bus station for all the tours.Big kitchen. Great sauna. Some of the rooms in particular mine was really small and simple 2 single bad,1 mirror, one chair, one bed side table and 2 hangers on the wall. Clean.
There are 6 rooms, there is one bathroom and one toilet. Additionally there is a shower down at the sauna. However, there were like 10 people and it was not easy to go to the bathroom. The bathroom only allowed short showers because the sink was pretty much stuck. With fewer people it would be acceptable.
Great, very hospitable place with all kinds of different guests make it feel like staying with a large, diverse international family. Also Bedda, the owner, is very help- and cheerful turning even the bleakest of Reykjavik's days into pure sunshine. Update: Coming back to Our House after four months really did feel like coming home. This easily is *the best place* to stay in Reykjavik.

Wonderful, cute nice place. The morning breakfast really helped for a long day and the room service was top notch. Harpa arranged for us the cab back to Keflavik airport as well. Really sweet people and really fun.

Entry was a bit rundown and 2 flights of stairs to climb. Facilities clean and quiet. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Check-in instructions clear and easy to follow. Good location for shopping, restaurants and bus pickup.
Sleeping was challenging The guesthouse has no control over the music coming from the street (teenagers playing loud music across the street until very late at night) or the bar downstairs, nor can they do anything about the noise of the pipes. Nevertheless, I would not stay in that particular room (#6) again because sleeping was very difficult. My son stayed in a studio at this guesthouse and did...
The location is okay, there are several good restaurants nearby, but the overall environment is poor, maybe because the building is old. The heating was not very good and the room was very cold. There is no elevator, so you need to carry your suitcase upstairs. All in all I don't think it's worth it compared to the price of ninety pounds a night.
Great spot in downtown Reykjavik. Bus stops just outside to get around the city, to/from the airport. Easy walk to the main city centre, waterfront, and more.
Nice placement and average rooms. Fully equipped kitchen. If you have social anxiety, this place is perfect for you, because you don't really have to talk to anyone. There's no one on the reception. You just get a code to your room in a e-mail and that's all. Showers aren't very nice, they use geothermal water so it stinks like eggs. Breakfast is also alright, nothing special, but absolutely sufficient
Good place to stay if you want to live close to town and the rooms are of medium quality nothing too high or too low. Although the service is relatively bad in comparison to all the other things. There is no real way to check out the hotel when you want. We had a bus to the airport we had to get but we couldn't leave the place as there was no one at the reception.
