Very cute and cozy house in the city centre of Reykjavik. The kitchen is very basic but it had all we needed. Room was spacious and clean. The house is very quiet but you can hear noise from the other rooms on the same floor. There is only one toilet though, so it’s easy to find it occupied in the morning. Very kind host, quick to reply.
Good location, very clean and convenient check-in. The room is small, and since it's an attic, the roof is slanted, so it's easy to hit your head if you're not careful. There is a small open space outside the window with a nice view.
Loved this cosy guesthouse! Was easy to find and secure. The property was immaculate and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I started with my daughter and it was perfect for us we will definitely stay there again!
The property was in an excellent location, just feet away from the main street, very warm and comfortable albeit the room was small, with a shared bathroom and shower.
Quaint stay, great location, close to everything. Only complaint is the bed and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but overall fine for one night
A touch bit hard to find, but quiet and right next to the hubbub of Reykjavik :)

:) location.free parking for guests, 6 lots on premise. :) friendly and helpful staff Monica at front desk.Thank you housekeeping for making up our room. :) Private bathroom. No toiletries, bring your own.
Great location near the centre of town and also walkable to the flybus bus station ghat takes you to the airport. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room, clean and spacious.
Location/Transportation: Near the Ha Church, about 10 minutes walk from the airport bus station Lobby/Front Desk: Simple. Good service! Room: Deluxe Twin Room, spacious, private bathroom. There is a refrigerator and a kettle. No napkins, slippers, or toothbrushes. Sanitary conditions: Very clean and tidy Breakfast: Simple meal, richer than usual at home. Sufficient nutrition. Facilities: Free parking...
Overall it was good, especially the cathedral was so close, I felt safe living in this place, the bedding was also very good and comfortable. I just felt that my deluxe double room was not luxurious enough, and it was a little different from the price I paid before and after. The breakfast was too thin, and it was prepared in advance according to the order I chose the day before and placed on a tray...
This hotel is in a very good location in Reykjavik city centre.
This hotel is right next to the Reykjavik Cathedral. There are plenty of parking spaces at the hotel entrance. It also provides a kitchen, a public lounge, and a large room. The breakfast is also very rich.

Lovely and clean. Kitchen and bathroom in good condition. Bedrooms nice. Very good location. Would recommend.
wonderful place to stay, Super nice and friendly staff, very convenience, modern and warm design, Lovely place!! Highly Recommended!!
Great place for a great price! However your stay will be very dependant on how noisy your neughbors are...
This place was great. I was a little worried because I thought it was someone's actual house but I was able to come and go as I pleased at all hours without fear of bothering anyone. It had the privacy of a hotel but the feeling of being home. I'm planning my next trip and I'm for sure staying here again!

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I went here. Max is the best! I came to Iceland with absolutely no plan, just to see a friend. She spent over an hour writing down a 4 day itinerary for me by hand! My debit card was having problems, so she accepted my American cash and booked everything for me on her own card! She then loaded up a bag full of groceries and sent me on the road. Really, she's...
The lady taking care of the hostel is smart, well spoken and extremely helpful! I came kinda unprepared to Iceland and she took ~3 hours to plan my trip, look for the cheapest rooms and even refunded a unnecessary ticket i bought so i could use it for my trip back to the airport. The place is cool too, close to the city center and has comfortable rooms with a reasonable amount of beds per room. Highly...
Super comfortable beds. Pay parking right at the entrance. Free cereal breakfast. Nice common room, met a lot of great people traveling from all over.
Went there with my sister for our first and our two last nights in Iceland. Location is great! Only a few minutes walking are enough to reach pretry much everything you might want to see - churches, harbour, grocery stores - you name it. The rppms are basic but if you are not looking for luxiry this is perfecr. There is no kitchen or cooking plates but a few gadgets you might need like a toaster or...
Good guest house central location
The main advantages of this place: it's cheap and close to town center. You better have everything, including towel and coffee with you, or you'll have to pay for it there. Fortunately hot water is included, as well as the shower. All in all, if you are looking for a bed to sleep and don't care about luxuries, it is worth considering.
There was a price on the website and it said it had to be paid on arrival at the accommodation, when we got there they asked us for more money saying it was bank charges and that the price on the web was just for cash payments but on the web it said nothing at all about it, it just gave a price and said it could be paid in cash or by card. It is called a guesthouse but there isn't a kitchen where you...

Location - perfect, in the city centre. Good parking place for car.
Clean, stylish and in the city center. I like the community style.
The hosts are really cool and the room, charming. The common living room is full of books and guides plus the hosts that give super advices for visiting Iceland. Many thanks!
Best host we had in Iceland for a week and that's saying something because every host we had was nice.. The house interior was beautifull and edgy, with really good taste decoration and the rooms are very comfy
We had a great 2 night stay here. We even got a surprise visit from the neighborhood resident orange kitty who waltzed into our room like he owned the place (he probably does) The room was clean and comfy. Because it was raining on and off when we stayed in Reykjavik, the central location of the guesthouse allowed us to hide from the rain whenever we needed to and take a little break. Would definitely...
Stayed twice. Once before doing ring road trip and second when we came back. In the start got garden room (very convenient for someone like me with knee troubles, shortcut to kitchen via stairs, router in room, fridge and heater. Door of bathroom was due to be repaired, but was not a big problem. When we left, asked for room on ground floor (since we were coming back). Was given, our laundry was...

I highly recommend Óðinn Reykjavík for their Mini-Bus Tours. The mini bus tour was very personal and the driver made us feel at home with drinks and snacks at our stops during our journey to hunt the Northern Lights. At the first place she stopped, she realized that it was not the best place to see the Northern Lights so she continued further into the emptiness of the night. At the second stop we got...
Penthouse is a quality apartment on the top floor. Nice views out into the city. Beds were comfortable and clean. We never actually met the landlord, but our stay was pleasant.
Little things let this apartment down - such as a cracked window in the smaller bedroom, the cutlery drawer broken and hanging off (we fixed it for them!), the cold tap not turning after running the hot, the promised bread and juice or milk not being there on arrival, supposed to be 3 bedrooms but actually 2 and a sofa in a cramped lounge etc.
A great little place to stay. The location is excellent, and and the accommodations are clean and comfortable.

Friendly hosts, great location (15 minutes to Reykjavik's Old Harbor even in morning commuter traffic; easy drive to downtown), comfortable and clean rooms, calm and restful. Close to everything.
Very good place to stay in Reykjavik. Quiet with comfortable rooms. Not so far from city center (if you have car). The owner very nice. We came during the night (2 am) and there was no problem with the late hour. Highly recommended!
A wonderful place to stay. My wife and I spent five days here, using it as the "base camp" for exploring Reykjavik and southwest Iceland. The breakfasts were very good and ample. There is a major bus hub, grocery store, gas station and liquor store across the street. It couldn't have been more convenient. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with walking trails going off in every direction....
Absolutely loved this B&B. Close drive to the city centre in Reykjavik, very centrally located and easy to get around, but walking distance to grocery stores. Close to bus stops as well. We had a wonderful stay at Aros B&B. We got the studio with ensuite bathroom, which was extremely spacious, even with two IKEA POANG chairs to rest, nice Scandinavian furnitures and very comfortable bed. We had an amazing stay in the Reykjavik Domes. It was such a cool place to stay. It was roomy, had a nice kitchenette, a private hot tub and very comfortable beds and bathroom.
We celebrated our honeymoon and the staff did a great job with the romantic package, we loved the room and set up. Everything was easy to understand
Beautiful space! the dome was lovely and well appointed. We loved the hot tub and view. We didn't really see anyone else while we were there but it wasn't peak tourist season.
You would think to stay in a glass dome to be able to see the sky. All we saw was white tarp that couldn’t come down.
This was a bucket list night and we saw the Northern Lights! Absolutely one of our favorite nights on our trip and the hot tub was easy to use and a huge bonus. The fire was easy to start and kept us warm all night. We ran out of wood though and didn't realize until morning there was more accessible in the kitchen. Whoops! There was a small bottle of sparkling Asti so we each had a glass and they had...

This guesthouse is nice overall, but I won't recommend it because the price doesn't meet the quality. Definitely needs renovation. We stayed two nights in double room. The whole place looks a bit messy, there are cleaning stuff literally EVERYWHERE: kitchen, bathroom open shelves, near rooms. If you think it means everything is super clean - you are wrong. Shared bathroom looked like the cleaning lady...
We stayed in doublebed room with private bathroom. Both room and bathroom was tiny but very cozy, neat and clean. Shared kitchen was full equipped and very clean.
Had an amazing experience at Alfholl Guesthouse! Very clean and homey, walking distance from the heart of the city and many cool areas around. There is a kitchen area to make food if you like, and was overall very enjoyable! Books up quick though, so make sure to book in advance.
Kindest people I have been in contact with! Very understanding and polite staff! Would recommend 100% to anyone
Friendly and professional, but in the hands off Icelandic guesthouse style. Easy walking to downtown area, but on a quiet street. Clean and quiet. Has kitchen for cooking and food storage.
Great location, clean rooms and flexible check-in time. Very big and comfortable beds. Would totally recommend for a quick and cheap stay in Reykjavik.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Reykjavík and I’ve traveled here a few times and stayed at both hotels and BnB’s - nothing compares to the warmth of Our House which really is your home away from home. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and has everything you need. The bathroom also has a sauna (!), and the rest of the facilities (kitchen, toilets,...
Cute little b&b in the heart of Reykjavík. Great price and awesome amenities, including a sauna. Kitchen was clean and well provisioned, though we only used the fridge and toaster and coffee maker.
Very well located. Close to bus station for all the tours.Big kitchen. Great sauna. Some of the rooms in particular mine was really small and simple 2 single bad,1 mirror, one chair, one bed side table and 2 hangers on the wall. Clean.
There are 6 rooms, there is one bathroom and one toilet. Additionally there is a shower down at the sauna. However, there were like 10 people and it was not easy to go to the bathroom. The bathroom only allowed short showers because the sink was pretty much stuck. With fewer people it would be acceptable.
Great, very hospitable place with all kinds of different guests make it feel like staying with a large, diverse international family. Also Bedda, the owner, is very help- and cheerful turning even the bleakest of Reykjavik's days into pure sunshine. Update: Coming back to Our House after four months really did feel like coming home. This easily is *the best place* to stay in Reykjavik.

Very nice and calm place to relax after Iceland trip. Clean and comfortable.
Was here for a one night stay, this place is charming and is all self check in. Walkable in the area and we were able to park the car directly in front. Our private bathroom was very small and tight, and the water temp fluctuated, but all in all a good stay!
No staff to meet. Check in was super simple! It is however on a major roadway. Shared bathroom facilities which I felt was a bit strange. Water did smell like sulphur. First time I smelled that in the wash but it wasn’t super strong. Average overall.
When i previously stayed at this property a couple of years ago I thought it was excellent and was looking forward to staying again. Unfortunately I was allocated room 3C where it was not possible to see the views as the windows had frosted glass. One window was in very poor condition as it was rotten with small insects in the rotten wood and did not stop the drafts or the noise from the road below...

Guest house itself was great, very clean and tidy. The major issue was the fact that the bathroom door key opens every bedroom door. I'd imagine every door key is the same.
Very basic guesthouse with shared facilities i.e One bathroom and a small kitchen with a two ring hotplate and microwave oven for cooking. The rooms are clean and the prices reasonable, for Reykjavik. Very good location

very nice and quiet just outside the downtown. bit of a walk to the busy downtown area of Reykjavik, but if you don't mind that then its worth saving for a less crowded and easy going area. Stayed for two nights and only ever heard other people once during the stay. Like other reviews said, it had kind of an eerie feel due to that but we had peaceful sleeps. Booked this place for one night before going for the big circle. Had to wait for about 30 minutes to get in. Luckily there was another guy waiting that had local cell phone so he dialed place owner. Otherwise we would probably wait forever. The place itself is fairly old, but the rooms were ok for the overnight.
The owner was so nice! The stay was comfortable and clean! Next time im coming to Iceland ill definitely be booking here again!
It is more like a shared house made into a guest house. Looks and feels kinda old inside, room wasn't cosy. You can't take shower between 11 pm and 7 am. You have to take your shoes off as you enter. It's value for money but don't expect hotel comfort.

Wonderful, cute nice place. The morning breakfast really helped for a long day and the room service was top notch. Harpa arranged for us the cab back to Keflavik airport as well. Really sweet people and really fun.
