MIRAMARE in Lavagna

I would strongly advise against staying here, if it weren't for its excellent location, close to the city center, the train station, and the sea, for the friendly reception, and the well-stocked breakfast. Everything else is a collection of negatives! I stayed at this hotel for just one night, passing through with a friend during a motorcycle tour. We booked two single rooms, and arrived at the hotel in a downpour, completely soaking wet. The rooms were small, poorly cleaned, the cold water didn't run, the hairdryer was inadequate, and the rooms, in short, needed renovations (the building is beautiful on the outside but dated on the inside, as can be seen in the hallways full of furnishings that seem abandoned). A completely negative review also goes to the owner, who was rude (unlike the person who greeted us at check-in) and refused to discount the cost of storing the two motorcycles overnight in the new garage. He justified this by citing both the high cost of building it and the clear cost of parking the car, which he claimed was clearly stated on the Booking portal (it's a shame no amount was listed for the motorcycle). Given the minimal space the motorcycles took up (and in a half-empty garage, too), it would have taken him very little effort to accommodate us, and he certainly didn't recoup much of the cost of building the garage (his justification for not giving us a discount). One last point: the room overlooked the back of a bar, with loud music playing until late.

Bad experience... ☹️
Bed was not comfortable.. if you are accompanied with your wife or fiancé then think twice before booking.. disappointed 😞
