Splendid Hotel La Torre in Lido di Mondello

We stayed at this hotel for four days, it appeared to be absolutely beautiful from the outside and also when you come in to the hotel, however, when we went to our room, which was located on the second floor, there was no air conditioning. The temperature outside was approximately 100°, when we went to our room, it was just as hot as the outside there was very little air flowing in. We alerted the front desk. They said that they would take care of it. We came back from dinner and it seemed that it only went down maybe 10° , so we let them know and once again they said they would fix it, but it never happened , we also asked for different room, they said they didn’t have any available, we asked for some sort of compensation, the request was denied, so for four days we were in temperatures of 75 to 80 degrees hot and humid, when I plugged in my converter to the wall so that I could blow dry my hair it burned my $150 hairdryer, when I went to take a shower, the water would go from warm to hot to ice cold for the duration of the shower, when we had our room cleaned they would only changed the sheets and didn’t clean anything in the room, left us with no toilet paper or soap so we had to call down stairs to have them bring us those items, when we booked our room, we requested a room with a queen bed and ocean view what we got was two twin beds pushed together, and because it was so hot in a room we were not able to open the drapes because it would make the room even hotter than it already was. When we checked out, we were never asked. How was your stay or anything? We do quite a bit of traveling, and I must say this is probably one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had.
