Artemisia Palace Hotel in Palermo

I am giving this rating due to the unprofessional and disrespectful treatment we received from the front desk staff. On the morning of July 17th, our Booking.com reservation was cancelled without notice on the day of arrival.

When we called to understand the situation, the female receptionist was incredibly rude, repeatedly hung up on us, and at one point, put us on hold where before we could clearly hear the staff laughing at us. Despite our efforts to communicate (even offering to speak Italian), the lack of empathy was shocking. We eventually went to the hotel in person since we had already paid, only to find out there was a room available after all. No apology was ever given for the stress caused.

It is a shame because, apart from this, the room was actually very pleasant and the breakfast staff were lovely and very friendly. However, the initial experience and the mockery from the reception staff were unacceptable. I would not stay here again.

The hotel looks rundown and shabby. Cracked plaster walls, grout missing in bathroom. No room amenities except shampoo and soap. The men at the front desk were abrupt. The front desk offered little advice. Breakfast was OK, but nothing terrific. The breakfast room staff, however, were delightful. On the plus side, the bed was large and comfortable. The hotel is well located.

Horrible experience. They sent me an email the day before saying my reservation was cancelled. Said my credit card didn’t work. When I called - 10 minutes after receiving the email - to provide another card, they told me they were booked. Simply wanted to bounce me from my lower rate to a new customer willing to pay twice as much. Outrageous business behavior.

This hotel has seen the 4th stars in inauguration day, but since then, it’s total decay in construction and services. We changed 2 rooms. Both of them had mold, lack of decent cleaning, ac that had all the dust in it and noise. The location is the best thing about it, but also the neighbors are very loud. Don’t recommend unless you really have to, but they take advantage of this issue and they overcharge, as was our case.

The worst motel ever existed, I can't comprehend who has given this below zero hotel 4 star, dirty room, molds in shower, receptionist didn't care, 1st nite noticed shower glass door broken, they changed the room and 2nd room had mold in the shower, even manager didn't do anything, bad location as well.
