Golden Apartments in Cecina Marina

Resting a couple of days between the cityhoppings. The hotel is well maintained with a close proximity from the port of Cecina. Our room was spacious and included jacuzzi. The staff was helpful and friendly.

We stayed for a week at the Golden Hotel and Apartments in a well equipped self catering apartment. Great place - spotlessly clean, excellent location and lovely pool area. We had 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals and the food and service was excellent. Really helpful and friendly staff. Cecina is a great place - not over the top chic but great choice of restaurants and the local beach is good.

We were a family of 4 (two adults and two children aged 8 and 2). We stayed July 2025. The hotel was overall a great experience and we hope to be back. There were a few things which could be improved like all stays. I hope this helps others: Room We opted to pay extra and stay in the two bedroom apartment which sleeps 6. We didn’t use the day bed with pull out trundle in the living area. We had plenty of space and meant that when the kids were in bed we had full use of the kitchen. The two bathrooms with showers were also great, especially getting in from the beach. The room location was fantastic. We were ground floor with the entrance facing the pool. The terrace was large with table, chairs, outdoor sink and clothes airer. You could open the kitchen and double bedroom door to it. It was screened for privacy with a hedge along the front. We used the kitchen a fair bit, cooking lunch most days. I don’t think they expect this with guests because there were a few things missing which should be provided. There were no oven gloves so we had to use a bath towel (there were no kitchen towels either), and some of the cookware didn’t work on the induction hob. The fridge was never really cold even with googling the make to make sure it was on the right setting. The room was clean - to start with. We stayed 9 nights. It wasn’t cleaned once while we were there and, as mentions in another review, you had to pay for new towels and sheets if needed. This makes no sense to me unless most of their bookings are weekend/short stays. The price per night is set, not getting cheaper the longer you stay. I could (in theory) check out and check back in, and have a clean and restocked apartment. They did give me one free set of towels when I asked but we opted to wash them ourselves because of the hassle. What was worse is that they don’t provide you with the means to keep the apartment clean. A mop and brush (hidden behind the garden furniture when we first arrived) were there but no cleaning supplies. A VERY watered down quarter bottle of dish soap was all that was there. Facilities - washing machine and dryer were €3.50 per use (buy tokens at reception). Dryer doesn’t work and it’s quicker to dry them in the sun on the terrace/balcony. - kids playground was very impressive. Very large with lots to do including a shed stocked with toys. - pool was a descent size and not too busy. The little one liked the baby section attached to the main pool. The big kid liked the separate pool that has a waterfall and bubbles on a timer. - there was exercise equipment and a football table free for use in the garden - the pet turtles needed to be said hello and goodnight to each day! - there was a basket of pool toys available for general use which was lovely. Entertainment - I hadn’t seen this on my research for this hotel but it actually has something on every day for guests. - there is live music for dinner on some nights - my kids loved the pool party which happened twic

A really wonderful hotel. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend. It should be a 4 star hotel.

As a family of three, we absolutely loved our stay here. From the location, to staff, to conditions of our accommodation, everything was just flawless. The food at the bar and restaurant was exceptional at any time of day, the staff were kind, friendly and welcoming. The beach was all but a ten minute walk away, and the pool proved to be a helpful source of entertainment too. Location wise, the apartments are located perfectly as other «must-see » places, such as the leaning tower of Pisa, are all in perfect reach and the sunset at the beach is to die for! All in all, would absolutely recommend to everyone. Thank you Golden Hotel and Apartments!

Both the structure and the professionalism of the staff... ⭐️⭐️⭐️ they are quite narrow there. Rooms with large terrace equipped with all comforts, large bathroom with window, heated swimming pool, minibar with consumption included in the price and ample covered parking...

We were looking for a place that is close to the sea and kid friendly, and we definitely found one! Nice apartment, cleanliness of whole place, pool with a crystal clear salt water, children's playground, great breakfast and much more. Definitely worth the price we paid.
