L'Oro di Napoli in Naples

I recently stayed at this hotel and found both positives and some important concerns. On the plus side, the room was clean and the location was very convenient.

However, there were several issues that made me feel uncomfortable. First, there was no water provided in the room or in the common areas—not even available to purchase—which was quite inconvenient.

Also, I had requested a remote control, and instead of arranging a time to give it to me, the owner entered my room while I was out to leave it inside. I found this inappropriate. It would have been much better to speak with me and arrange a time when I was present.

Another concerning point: although I was told there was no cleaning service, someone entered my room the next day to clean without any notice. I wasn’t there at the time, and all my personal belongings were inside. What made it worse was that the person opened the shutters, even though I had left them closed intentionally for security, especially because I had my laptop in the room and wouldn’t be back until nighttime.

Despite this unexpected cleaning, the towels were not changed either, which added to the confusion.

Overall, while the hotel was clean and in a good location, the lack of clear communication and respect for personal space left me feeling uneasy. If I had been traveling alone, I would have felt quite unsafe.
