Il Chiattillo in Naples

Overall the stay was good! The location and breakfast provided were superb.
The property was clean and quiet but it was very inconvenient having to walk through the public hall to get to the bathroom.
Communication and staffing was a bit rough as well. The toilet seat was broken when we arrived and although we were told it would be fixed same day, it was never replaced.

Positivity: very convenient location in Vomero, a stone's throw from the subway (very clean and well functioning); spacious room in accommodation with bathroom in the corridor dedicated to the room. There are 3 rooms and the smaller one has an internal bathroom. Excellent cleaning. Air conditioner. Negative: The fixtures are great but it's impossible to keep the windows open due to the very heavy traffic of St Kerkbaker. In my room there was no chair or armchair and adequate light for reading. The daily cost of the room is €130.00 (city tax excluded) including breakfast for €10.00 in a nearby bar: a brioche is a real steal for a drink. In Naples, you pay €2.00 for a coffee and brioche. I strongly advise against asking for breakfast. Not even Gambrinus coffee pays that much. Another unnerving criticality lies in the malfunctioning latch of the second entrance door: to open it you have to try many times because it doesn't open on the first attempt. Lastly, the kind and friendly welcome came from a person who is not the manager and therefore, rightly so, could not answer our questions. Connecting to the Wi-Fi wasn't easy either because only the old address was on the brochure of the facility. For the amount requested, too much improvisation and little professionalism. In the room there is a Nespresso coffee machine with 2 pods (for 5 days!) and the kettle (naturally without tea bags or anything else) was very encrusted. I repeat a lot of carelessness.

Nice place in a nice area of the city. I just didn’t like to have my bathroom out of the room…but not a big deal.
