The location, room, staff, and breakfast were all great.
The bath was a jacuzzi, so I thought about filling it with hot water, but since there was also a shower, I would have had to run the water every time, so I gave up.
The only soaps provided as amenities were bar soap and something like liquid body wash, which made washing my hands a bit of a challenge. If you're concerned about this, I recommend bringing your own.
Fantastic location with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby, close to the Spanish quarter and to the Palace and harbor !
Great coffee at breakfast!
What I didn’t like was the following:
The Room is a little shabby and does not appear to have been painted in a long time!
The room we had was next to the bar/kitchen area and we were woken up early every morning as you could hear everything through the thin walls!
No mirror or hot water kettle in the room.
Not enough outlets in the room.
Noisy A/C.
No view as the room overlooked a roof with barred windows!
The breakfast was less than basic, the only hot food item they had was hard boiled eggs, which is perfectly fine except if you did not get there in time and they ran out then they did not boil any extra and you were told that there are no more eggs! Minuscule selection of cheese and cold cuts, lots of pastries and breads though!
The room is quite decent, the facilities are old, and it's liveable. The quilt has no core but only a blanket (traditional in Italy). People who are not used to it can only consider chain hotels.
I arrived at 9pm with a stomach upset and although the room was on line for €61, they told me, now its €80 because it was clear I could not go somewhere else.
They called a doctor for me, but I had mo cash. The manager would not add the fee to my bill and pay the doctor. Instead, he told me I had to walk to a bank.
