Montesanto Station in Naples

We spent 4 nights at this hotel in mid-September 2022. in the Dante apartment. There are 2 apartments. The Tolède is for 4 people but has a tiny balcony while the Dante is for 2 people (with a sofa bed in the entrance for a child). We chose this one because we had a very very very large terrace!!!

I gave only 3 stars to this accommodation because the mattress was hard, and also that the window in the bedroom does not insulate much, we heard the sounds of parties that take place every evening on this little festive corner, music, baby , barking dog etc. Our sleep was very difficult.

Lunch is served in a small cafe 2 minutes away. The host will give you small cards to order there. Your choice: a coffee/capucchino etc + a pastry such as a croissant filled with cream or Nutella. The classic Italian lunch.
Be aware that the host does not speak English, French or Spanish. Only Italian. It will use Google translate to speak to you in your language.
The entrance to the building was hard to find, I put the photo attached. As he was not there, we had to send him a whatapp to come and let us in. I can't imagine tourists who haven't bought a Sim card in Europe, it must not be easy to reach it.
The interior entrance is really dark and in poor condition. A little love would do her good.
The bathroom is clean and functional but if you don't put air conditioning in the apartment, it quickly feels damp.
The air conditioning is quiet and much appreciated.
The kitchenette is spartan. (see photo) Don't look for a wine glass! Luckily we always bring our own.
We also liked being 1 minute from the funicular and 3 minutes from the metro as well as being next to the famous Pignasecca street, as it is a pedestrian street with lots of merchants, stalls, and restaurants.
The terrace is large and pleasant but would need a good washing and removing all the dead plants.
Would I stay there again? Maybe, but not sure, given the hard bed and the ambient noise at night.
