Il Palazzetto Mini-hotel

Great location. Room clean, lady greeting us was lovely and helpful. The guests before us had lost the aircon remote but the aircon still worked on a low setting. We were told the next day someone was coming to sort it out and they did. Slept better the 2nd night with cooler aircon. Only downside was the walls are very thin and the guest next to us were quite loud. Thankfully they settled about 11pm. The fridge was good but a shame no kettle for refreshments.

Our stay in "Il Palazzetto" was great. Its location can't be beaten, in the city center next to everything - train station, nice restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. There is a free coffee machine for the guests, and also a small fridge if you want to keep some food. The bed is HUGE and so comfy, and the cleaning was good as well. It would be great if they could add a kettle for non-coffee drinkers though :). The host, Federica, was lovely, our check-in was on time, and showed great problem resolution skills when we had a small incident with our room (that was outside of her control and couldn't be predicted before our arrival). All in all, I'd come back to this hotel whenever I'm back in Sorrento :) Grazie e a presto!

We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend two days before exploring Amalfi Coast. Il Palazzetto, hidden in a historical centre of Sorrento, is close to ....everywhere:) It was very important for us to find a place within a walking distance to Marina Grande and Train Station ( we had no car, using public transport), and so it was. Sergio is a great host. He will tell u where to eat to avoid crowds of tourists - his kindness made us feel like home. Breakfast in a nearby hotel made us really happy - there was anything you could wish for and a delicious coffee. Il Palazzetto was very clean - our room was very tidy with a little fridge, welcome drinks and a present from the host. The guest can freely use a small espresso machine. Bed was very comfortable, you appreciate this after you spend the whole day on sightseeing:)
