Hotel Villa Igea

Had to cancel a portion of our trip and were a day late to cancel without fee per their policy and hotel would not budge and still charged us nearly $150 for cancelling, even after multiple calls to their staff pleading to not charge. I work in an office where we have a policy for no shows and late cancellations and we are constantly waiving fees. Poor customer service on their end. I would have considered staying in future, or later in our trip, but not anymore.

If you stay here go to see the view on the roof's veranda.
Be careful to ants.
Reception staff, very professional, but generally all the staff was good. Nice decorations inside the hotel, with marbles and good swimming pool and garden.

Dinner is good and at reasonable price. Cappuccino for breakfast is very bad, made by automatic machines like business hotels around the world. In Italy you expect a good cappuccino everywhere.
Outside entrance is not nice (there is a gas pomp in front of the entrance) don't look like to arrive to an hotel.
Then my partner during the night was bitten by ants in the bed, even we avoid to bring food in the room, after we saw the advice written in the lift.
They must do something to avoid ants coming inside the hotel rooms. After good time and nice views this is the worst memory of our stay.
