The room was spartan, but clean and modern. The hotel is in a great location close to the coliseum etc.

Nice size room with daily housekeeping. Small bathroom but is adequate for 2. Provided toiletries were good quality. Vending machines in common area. Good restaurant for evening meal beside hotel. Close to train station. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Great Transit Access
Good bed, noisy tracks if you are a light sleeper. (Didn't bother me, I like the sound of trains) While the hotel was very nicely renovated, it must be admitted it is in what I would call a rough and ready neighborhood. No desk staff after 10PM but take your key out with you and it's no problem. Close to a couple of my faves in Rome: Pyramid of Cestius, Basilica of St. Paul outside the Walls, non-Catholoc Cemetery, Testaccio, and good access to public transit for center, or Ostia, etc.

I stayed two nights here. First the hotel is right next to a very busy railway line - I could virtually touch the overhead cables from my window.

The hotel is marked as having Aircon and a cheap continental breakfast available; the Aircon did not work despite my highlighting it to staff several times both days. The first day after much back and forth I was spun a line about Rome laws meaning it can't be on before May - this I believe is public spaces only. The next day I was told it was a new system and they were doing what they could to make it work but regardless it didn't work. I'd suggested an alternative room with working Aircon and was told maybe that could happen if I paid the difference in cost! All I wanted was the room with the facilities I paid for.

Breakfast - not available. When booking it said I could have a continental breakfast for both mornings totalling €15. On arrival I was told somewhere down the street could do it for €12 per day. Again, not what I booked up for.

The room itself was clean and maintained. However there was a memory foam mattress topper and pillows which retain heat - not great with no Aircon when you have to keep the window closed due to the noise. Also due to washing the pillows repeatedly they were very bobbly so not very comfortable.

This is a 3* hotel but I do not rate it, especially at over £80/night (April/May including taxes)

Crossroads served as a nice place to syay on our final night in Italy. It's location, while in the city, is good for airport access. The adjacent sidewalk restaurant was quite noisy until midnight. We were on the thord floor and coupd still hear voices.

It's very noisy because it's next to the railway track, and there is no kettle in the room. The toilet is also old-fashioned and not easy to use.

Clean room with nice smell of softener.
Shower bath was also clean

So this hotel is close the the train/metro station, and that’s a plus, but the hotel is at BEST average. The staff were wonderful, and I never had any issues with hotel staff or asking questions…but this hotel is in dire need of a renovation.

The shower ******, hardly any water pressure, the bed was fine, but the whole room just struck me as a step above a hostel private room.

There was a fridge, that kept things cool-ish, but not cold. There was no chair in the room, but there was a semi comfortable metal stool. They give you a small bottle of 3-1 wash for your shower, and a shower cap, so that’s a plus. And there is a hair dryer, just outside of the bathroom.

My rec, if your budget is tight and this is the only thing in your budget, it’s fine, not dirty, no bugs, friendly staff. But if you can afford a different hotel, I’d choose different. The value for money is not there.

Very good value for money, a little far from the most central part but easy to access with public transport! Very friendly staff

We only stayed 1 night in transit so just needed a decent place to sleep, location was close to Rome yet just outside the chaos, I enjoyed that. The area was a little weird at first, lots of graffiti, looked dirty and some strange people under the bridge as we walked from Ostiense station but the hotel place was clean, comfy bed, it was on the tracks but the sound didn't bother me, i do sleep with earplugs though, they were very friendly on arrival too. It's right above a restaurant that seemed very popular, So it's convenient to grab a bite to eat. Overall the room served its purpose for the price.
