Raeli Hotel Regio in Rome

An overall OK hotel, mainly thanks to the very attentive and helpful staff.

The location is convenient, just next to Termini Station, which makes it easily accessible and practical for short stays in Rome. There is also a luggage storage room, which is useful if you arrive early or leave later in the day.

That said, it’s best to lower your expectations. The rooms are average and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. If your room faces the main road, expect a lot of noise—especially from garbage trucks operating very early in the morning or late in the evening. The room walls were also a bit dirty, which gives a somewhat neglected impression.

Basic amenities are minimal: not even a bottle of water in the minibar and no coffee or tea machine for a quick drink in the room. A small safe is available.

Breakfast is simple: boiled eggs, cheese, ham, tomatoes, cucumbers and cakes. However, the croissants were clearly not fresh. Coffee comes from a machine, as do the boxed juices.

Overall, a practical choice for the location and helpful staff, but the comfort and quality are quite basic.

Negative points go only for the location. It is near Termini station which is probably the worst part of Rome.

I’ve booked our rooms three months before we travel. It is my first time in Rome and was very excited. The location from the terminal was perfect as well as the other tourist spots were walkable from there.

As soon as we arrive at the hotel, the receptionist were not so welcoming but the other staffs were hospitable especially the man who’s on duty when we checked-out.

We went to our room and it was organized. However, it smells like sewage coming from the toilet’s drainage. Then as soon as we lie down on the bed there were woman’s hair and dust under the bed.. the bed is uncomfortable and was very hard and pillow are weightless that we ended have stiffed neck. The aircon wasn’t working and was very hot. We just opened the window to have fresher air. While sleeping we can hear the people talking from other room.

We didn’t make fuss about it because we’ve experienced worse than this. So if you’re only needing a bed to sleep on, we recommend this but if you’re looking to relax it may not be for you.
