Ergife Palace Hotel

The hotel itself is actually quite ok. It sprawls over a large area. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room was not spartan but left you with a longing for a bit more. What's the word, it was a bit dull. The food was really good. We had buffet for lunch and the dishes were good. They have gluten-free, dairy free selections which is not something you find everywhere. The location of the hotel is rather far from everything. To go downtown you need to take the subway and to go to the subway you either walk for 20 mins or you may take the bus and walk for 3 mins. The walking is not very pleasant. Very narrow sidewalk and totaly uninteresting neighborhood. Once on the subway, it takes 10 mins to get to Piazza Spagna. About 6 stops. Nice thing is, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood.

This is a moderately good conference hotel with a beautiful pool area but I find the guest services lacking. My room had no clock or description of hotel services except for the phone list. I tried calling the front desk and the restaurant several times but never could get an answer. Air conditioning was OK in my room but it was spotty throughout the conference space. I even saw one older gentleman collapse from the heat in one of the meeting rooms. I would not come back.

A/C not adequate in convention and dining space. Free breakfast was pretty good but lunch and dinner dining menu very limited. Waitstaff worked hard but seemed to be short-staffed. From a convention perspective, not able to meet the needs.
