Reviews
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. It truly gives a sense of luxury — the spa is amazing, with a heated pool, heat lamps in the lounging areas, a beautifully scented sauna, and more.
The rooms are spacious, clean, elegant, and offer lovely views. Service was excellent, and the staff were responsive to every question or request. They even prepared a generous packed breakfast for us because we had an early flight.
There’s also a very nice happy hour — definitely worth experiencing at least once!
Two small notes: the hotel restaurant is quite expensive and the portions are small, and the shuttle to the city center has only eight seats.
That said, these are minor things — I didn’t reduce my rating because the hotel is truly exceptional.
The hotel is gorgeous — beautifully designed and located in a stunning area. While it’s not right in the city center, it’s not too far either. Unfortunately, a cab or Uber is the only practical way to get to town, as public transportation takes far too long.
The rooms are elegant and thoughtfully designed. The spa and swimming facilities are truly amazing.
However, I don’t think I could stay at this hotel again. There’s no proper air conditioning. The system is set at 24°C, and the thermostat only allows a two-degree adjustment either way. It takes hours for the room to cool down — and it never gets cool enough. I was there in October, and the room was unbearably hot. I attended a conference with around 180 people, and we all had the same complaint. I didn’t get a single good night’s sleep during my three-night stay.
The minibar was also quite loud, which added to the room’s warmth and made sleeping even more difficult.
It’s a real pity because this hotel has so much potential.
Breakfast was good by Italian standards, and being able to order it to the room for just a €10 service fee was very convenient — it made the mornings far more relaxed.
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff are absolutely lovely and the hotel, including our room, is very clean. The pool area is also beautiful, which we really enjoyed.
However, there are some areas that could be improved. The breakfast buffet was disappointing — food is left under heating lamps and doesn’t taste very fresh. The hotel restaurant is also very expensive, and with no entertainment options, it feels like guests are encouraged to go elsewhere for both food and activities. A hotel should feel like a home away from home, but this wasn’t quite the case here. It would be nice if the hotel offered some simpler, more affordable food options as well — not everyone wants restaurant-quality (or restaurant pricing) for every meal, and sometimes a simple sandwich at lunch would be perfect.
Our room was on the '0' floor (same level as reception), and unfortunately, it was very noisy. From about 6am until 10:30am we could hear chairs scraping from the breakfast buffet, making it impossible to have a sleep-in. We also heard the vacuum early in the mornings while staff were cleaning the bar area.
At the pool, while the setting is lovely, many of the sunbeds are broken. I’ve seen at least five people nearly injure themselves from them collapsing, and one guest actually fell and hit the ground. Staff witnessed this too, but nothing was changed or repaired.
On a positive note, the hotel is about 15–20 minutes from the city centre, and I highly recommend using their shuttle service (€5 per person) as it’s much cheaper than taking taxis.
Overall, a nice stay with some great staff, but several areas really need attention.
Hygiene: Spotless.
Service: Very poor and utterly disappointing!! Check-in was fine, but the check-out process was a nightmare. While we were in line to check out, a guest at the check-in counter was arguing loudly with the front desk, and the lobby manager merely stood by watching. This led to check-in guests constantly cutting into our queue, with absolutely no staff member bothering to maintain order. One of the line-cutters even engaged in a casual chat with the front desk for nearly twenty minutes. When another staff member finally appeared, they immediately went to assist another guest who had just approached with their luggage, completely ignoring the chaotic lines. Our patience eventually wore thin! The entire check-out took about half an hour, and it was only after we became visibly frustrated that the front desk finally processed our departure.
Upon checking in, I was pleased to discover a wide array of recommended tours and activities, such as church musicals and golf cart excursions. This was incredibly helpful for someone like me who prefers not to meticulously plan every detail of their trip.
Lastly, I have to praise their laundry service. Besides the usual per-item pricing, they offer a 'family laundry package,' which I recall being around €15 per kilogram. As we visited during summer, small items like T-shirts and socks don't add much weight. I sent in 3 T-shirts and 5 pairs of socks, and the total cost was only about €12. Each item came back smelling wonderfully fresh, almost like new clothes. What a delight not to have a smelly suitcase!
