Booking Caution! (BED BUGS & NOT REFUND)
I booked a two-night stay starting February 7, 2026.
They were nice enough to keep my luggage when I arrived early.
After visiting the Vatican, I returned in the evening.
I was immediately greeted by bed bugs on my bed.
I didn't even bother looking for them; there were just several large and small bed bugs crawling around on my pillow and sheets.
I contacted the owner immediately, and they offered to book me another place or give me a refund.
It was late, so I figured it would be difficult to find a place in a hurry, so I asked them to find another place.
When I arrived at the place they found, the owner told me there was only one person booked.
So, they told me I had to pay an additional fee and the city tax.
I had already paid the city tax to Candia.
I asked Candia to talk to the new owner and resolve the issue.
They refused and told me to just pay the additional fee and stay.
In return, they offered to refund the amount I had paid to them. It was too late and my mother was having a hard time, so I paid for it anyway.
A month later, I still haven't received my refund.
Still, I trusted 'Candia'.
I suspected my credit card company might be delaying the refund.
So, I contacted 'Candia' to resolve the issue myself and requested a cancellation receipt.
Candia hasn't responded.
They haven't accessed my WhatsApp messages.
I think they've blocked me.
I've also contacted them through the inquiry form on their official website.
As expected, there's been no response.
I'm hoping that if 'Candia' sees this review, they'll contact me.
I'm going to wait just one more week.
I just hope that no other foreign victims will fall victim to this.

A very confortable stay, good amenities and excellent service!
Walking distance from the Vatican and the castle. Transportation (metro and bus) very close, and we could get to the main touristy places in one ride.
The breakfast was good in the cafe across the street (a little too sweet for me). The coffee/tea available right outside the room is a really nice touch!
They were available to hold our luggage in lockers after check out
Great stay, would highly recommend for good price-quality accommodation

I lost a laptop and a jacket while staying at this place. Customer service has not met all expectations as her English was limited. communication was hard to understand. Will not come back for next time as I have bad experience for communication.

Excellent location, room with everything you need. Excellent quality/price ratio, breakfast included. Very convenient to the Vatican Museums and very close to the Ottaviano Metro (the center is 3 stops away). Courtesy and professionalism. ADVISED

Noisy, pricey
This is a ROOM only.
Before you arrive, I suggest you contact them via WhatsApp one day in advance. We arrived in the morning to drop off the bags but didn't get into the room. So we found a luggage room and paid to store our luggage.
I regretted booking this place for 3 nights because we could not get to sleep well. The room is right next to the road. The cars, buses, and motorcycles run the whole evening which is super loud.
The shower room is super tiny. I am 155cm and 50 kg and I hardly move into the shower room.
Not very clean either. I realized one of the towels was not dry on the towel rack they just replaced that day.
Too pricey and I am not very happy about this. The location is ok. The breakfast place doesn't have good quality food.
The WIFI is bad. Either disconnect the whole time or be super weak.
