A unique place very near the center of Rome. The owner/host and the staff are always willing to help and take the extra mile to make you feel very welcome. Visiting with a family of 4, mwe took 2 rooms at ground level which connect with each other. All rooms are new and very clean. The pool is amazing as well.

We heard on the day we arrived that the pool wasn't working and would be investigated the day after. Day after worker was Investigating the problem 2.30 pm to vanish at 3pm with no update to guests so another day no pool. Manager does not reply to wats apps. Reads then and ignores you. Staff never there. Pointless staying if no pool. Is a tram ride to city and trams were down so had to get bus. Hotel has had pool issues in past seems unreliable I had child with me was horrendous in heat. Pool worked on last day and was freezing

Good and Bad....
Firstly, let me start by saying that Livia Valeria is a beautiful property! Once the gates open you are greeted by lush flowers and green grass- its like an oasis and very welcoming. The buildings look brand new, lovely clean lines- all very modern and crisp.
The check in was absolutely fine, we were greeted by Max who was great.
The interior of the hotels public areas, were as beautiful as the outside- lots of french antique furnishings to marvel over. Again, it was very clean and crisp and felt like new.
The room we had was VERY spacious, perfectly clean and welcoming- lots of towels! Bathroom was great- modern and contemporary and again spotless with a powerful rain shower.
Now for the not so good.....THE POOL....or lack off.
We were a little dissapointed on day 1 to be told that the pool was refilling, with a hose and very slowly at that. When we arrived at 2pm the pool was half full and wasn't filled properly until 6pm, which was too late for us as we had dinner reservations at 7.
The next day, which was our last- the pool was OUT OF ORDER due to a leak which had caused it to drain overnight. So both days we didnt get the pool we had paid for.
Not the hotels fault but also not ideal for guests that had chosen to stay specifically for the pool access. There were a lot of unsatisfied people.
This isnt the first time the pool hasnt worked so the hotel need to get a handle on it as it is seriously letting down, what otherwise is an exceptional place.

I wish I wouldn't have stayed here. You have to hunt down staff to check in and check out. I waited an hour to check out of this hotel because they staff member was not in his office or premises. It is incredibly hot outside so I went back to my room to wait. At 10:30am, a cleaning woman entered my room WITHOUT knocking or informing she was coming in and told me to get out of my room. I could have been naked! And she was so rude! It's not my fault that there is no one to check me out of this horror hotel. Also, the pool is dirty and closed. They promote the pool heavily online but you can't get in it and the staff told me they would clean it but unfortunately, they never did. While I waited for staff to show up, I chatted with other guests who were very unhappy to be staying here as well. I had NO toilet paper for 2 days! New towels were given to me with red/brown stains. There is a coffee machine with no water/coffee/tea or anything for me to make coffee. There is a secret room inside a closet door (why?) There are exposed outlets all over the walls. The bed is 2 twin beds pushed together and it's so incredibly uncomfortable! I wish I wouldn't have stayed here, this Airbnb style hotel was a nightmare!

Please note that the pool does not work at the moment nor has it been working since we checked in on May 20th. The hosts take your payment in advance before letting you know that it doesn’t work, then avoid you for the rest of the stay. The rooms do not get cleaned or toilet paper replenished, there was a large bug in our room last night, there is not hot tub as advertised and no food on the premises. Please avoid staying here.
