Hotel Santa Prassede in Rome

Very clean, great location, great 24 hour service which allowed us to easily check in late at around midnight, gave great local advice on where to visit and local history.

Highly recommended, the owner is very nice.

I spent so long trying to decide on a hotel that was affordable and walkable to all Rome’s main sites. I made the perfect choice Hotel Santa Prassede, which is also spotlessly clean and run by wonderful people. The perfect base for sightseeing in Rome.

The hotel is extremely conveniently located, less than a ten-minute walk from the train station and just over ten minutes from the Colosseum. The metro station is also a ten-minute walk away. Dining and shopping are all conveniently located nearby, offering a tranquil escape from the bustle of the city. In addition to numerous Italian restaurants, there's also an authentic Sichuan restaurant nearby. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the windows facing the street are well-insulated, ensuring a comfortable stay.

The hotel is a small, family-run guesthouse with fewer than ten rooms. The owner and hostess are very kind. We arrived by train before noon and had only wanted to store our luggage, but the owner went above and beyond to arrange an early check-in. During our two-day stay, the owner or hostess would proactively ask if we wanted water every time we left or returned, and would provide us with two bottles. Given the heat and the high cost of water in Rome, their generosity was truly generous. They also provided us with a detailed guide to Rome, including two maps and a guidebook with directions. As for security, the hotel door is locked, but you can open it with your own key after checking in. There's also a small safe in the room. Furthermore, the owner or hostess is available 24 hours a day at the front desk, providing extra security. Our trip to Rome felt particularly warm because of staying here. Highly recommended!

The hotel was very clean. While it's certainly more expensive than in China, the price/performance ratio is quite basic. However, the windows are well-insulated, making it very quiet at night. It's also conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the train station. The highlight was the helpful staff member, Christina, who planned our daily itineraries. She's a real Rome lover. During our three-night stay in Rome, we only needed a taxi for the Vatican. Christina called one for us and escorted us to the taxi. The ride cost 17.50 euros, and we walked the rest of the way. The hotel is also a 5-minute walk from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where Pope Francis, who passed away last year, is buried.

This is a great hotel with better service and more attention to detail than a five-star hotel! Not only will they introduce the transportation and attractions near the hotel to you when you check in, but they will also give you gifts and blessings when you check out. It is a very humane and warm hotel!
Facilities: Equipped with a 24-hour front desk and a variety of snacks, breads, pastries, juices, teas, etc. (all delicious, completely free and saves breakfast money)
Hygiene: Clean and tidy
Environment: It is close to the train station, the surrounding transportation is quite convenient, there are many food stores not far away, and there is also a large supermarket nearby where you can buy fruits and other things
Service: First-class service attitude, they are all very caring and warm people, impeccable, I will come again next time!

Relatively cheaper

We had 3 rooms, prices were good though room size varied drastically but all of us were quite happy and the rooms were fully equipped for a comfortable change, wash, sleep etc and quite a central location, with an added bonus of a brilliant irish bar a stones throw away that serves good food/drink.

I was very surprised at how good this hotel was.
Location was good, less than 15 mins walk from the Colosseum and near some nice cheap bars and restaurants, and the train station.
The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The bathroom looked recently refurbished. There was toiletries and a hairdryer.
Air con and safe were free of charge which is welcome.
The bed was comfy and air con wasn't too loud so I got a good nights sleep.
Breakfast was actually pretty good for what I paid. The pastries were fresh and coffee / juice was tasty.

Overall for the money there inst much better
