Hotel Villa Duse in Rome

Stayed here in 2019, and I regret never reviewing it sooner. I loved this hotel so much. It was the best I've ever stayed at! My whole family loved it. Can't wait to go back.

Eleonora & staff made our 1st visit to Rome most memorable. The pre-trip communication and recommendations were amazing. Early check-in at 12PM was simple. The rooms were spacious, immaculate, beds were comfortable with daily housekeeping service. Breakfast and especially the croissants delicious. Service was impeccable. When in Rome a stay at Villa Duse, it was fenomenalé!

Amazing experience! We were made to feel right at home . Hotel Villa Duse is a beautiful, elegant, family run, boutique hotel. The building and furnishings are exquisite. The breakfasts were some of the best meals we had on our trip: wonderful creamy scrambled egg, the most delicious quiche as well as fresh sour dough bread, croissants, cheese, sliced meat, apple cake and coffee!! The hosts were wonderfully helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I’d highly recommend Hotel Villa Duse to all my family and friends.

Everytime we go to Rome we love to stay there, small, beautiful and private, the breakfast made by the owners is wonderful but the best is the special way they welcome and treat you. Leonora and her mother the owners are like angels making you feel special. I love this place!!!

We loved our 5 night stay at Villa Duse. Eleonora was extremely attentive and knowledgable. She gave us excellent tips on the neighbourhood and transport. The room was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet especially the scrambled eggs. Villa Duse is in the lovely Parioli neighbourhood - very green and quiet and within easy reach to Rome center. There are excellent restaurants nearby too. We loved walking through Rome - a great city to explore by foot. We really enjoyed our daily walks through Villa Borghese Park from the hotel to the center. Thanks again for making our stay with you a wonderful experience.

Villa Duse was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the two wonderful women who own and run this charming boutique hotel—a lovely mother and daughter. Their kindness and care made us feel not just like guests, but like family. The villa itself is cozy, beautiful, and incredibly peaceful—a true sanctuary tucked away from the city’s bustle, yet still close enough to explore all the magic of Rome. Our room was the Penthhouse one, elegant and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made our anniversary stay feel extra special. Every morning we were treated to a delicious, homemade breakfast that was clearly prepared with love. The fresh pastries, coffee, quiche, and Italian delights were the perfect start to each day. We were able to walk to so many iconic sites—the Borghese Gallery and Gardens, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and more. Each day felt like a dream, and it was such a joy to return to the calm and charm of Villa Duse after our city adventures. This was more than just a stay—it was an experience we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and tranquil place to stay in Rome, we wholeheartedly recommend Villa Duse.

The staff was very friendly, rooms were a bit small, and they could use a luggage bench/holder to make luggage access easier. Breakfast was very good and convenient in the morning.

The property is a mansion that is later converted into a small hotel. It is managed by a mother and daughters with a very diligent and thoughtful manner. The ambiance throughout is so much in line with the period details, accompanied by the comfort of the our time. It was not just a holiday in Rome, but was like a family visit. So, if you would like to feel at home, that is the place for you.
