Reviews
The hotel offers perfect accessibility to the city center. Everything is within walking distance – it takes only about 15 minutes on foot to reach the Vatican City and roughly the same time to the Pantheon. This made exploring the city extremely easy and convenient.
Another big advantage is the great selection of restaurants and bars nearby. I especially recommend Le Carré Français, Grekos, and Pasta in Corso Cavour-Prati, where they also offer excellent gluten-free pasta. For drinks, we really enjoyed The Bulldog Rome, which has a great atmosphere.
The hotel staff were absolutely wonderful. The reception team was always smiling, friendly, and extremely helpful, and the same applies to all the hotel employees. On our last day, they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at reception so we could still enjoy the city before our evening departure, which we really appreciated.
The only downsides were related to the room soundproofing and breakfast. The room was unfortunately very poorly soundproofed – we could hear everything happening in the hallway, which affected the overall comfort. Breakfast was also below average. I would recommend improving it by adding at least some fresh vegetables or including more typical Italian options such as mozzarella, tomatoes, or other local specialties.
Overall, despite a few minor issues, we had a very good stay thanks to the location and the incredibly kind staff.
We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. As I had already mentioned to reception, the room was of very poor quality and absolutely not what one would expect for the price paid.
The bathroom had a terrible smell that spread into the room even when the door was closed. The toilet flush was faulty and kept running all night, causing constant noise and making it very difficult to sleep. The mattress on the third bed was of extremely poor quality, and I woke up with back pain. Breakfast was also very limited and underwhelming.
What made the experience even worse is that, before arriving, I had called the hotel from the airport to explain that we were coming from Dubai after 48 hours of travel, so we were exhausted and only wanted to rest. Under those circumstances, we expected at least a decent, clean, and quiet room. Instead, we were given a room that was small, uncomfortable, smelly, and noisy.
We also wrote a review on Booking.com describing these problems, but instead of acknowledging any responsibility, the hotel chose to deny the issues and defend the indefensible. That response only confirmed the poor impression we had already formed during our stay.
Overall, this was a terrible experience and very poor value for money. We will certainly not return.
The location is simply unbeatable — right in the heart of Rome, within walking distance of all the major sights, restaurants, and cafés. I couldn’t ask for a better place to explore this beautiful city.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome — I am already loving my stay and can’t wait to enjoy the rest of it!
