Terrible food service, rude waiters, my elderly mother wasn't feeling well that evening and asked for an alternative to fish, but she was refused, not even a piece of parmesan. Never again.

The room is cozy, the bathroom large and functional. The biggest flaw is the food. The appetizer buffet was poorly presented, lacking variety, and of poor quality and execution. We had asparagus risotto, hospital-style, and very bland. The spiced trout was drowned in oregano and pepper. The tagliata was passable, but served with unseasoned boiled potatoes. The breakfast, with packaged pastries, fell short of expectations. A shame, because the location for enjoying the Boario thermal baths is excellent.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, but in the bathroom we found hairs and paper towels on the floor. We booked the spa, which was nice but nothing special. The pool water was lukewarm, and the various "buttons" to make the bubbles work... they barely worked... and we honestly couldn't get the Kneipp area to work, especially since there weren't various hot and cold pools; it was a single experience. The Turkish bath had mold on the ceiling, and the hay room was strange, with a bit of hay here and there... we only found fruit in a refrigerator at the end when exiting/entrance. Breakfast was good, with some savory options and a variety of pastries, cakes, pancakes, cereals, and eggs.

The hotel isn't as big as I'd imagined. Because it's old, the facilities are a bit dated. However, the staff were very friendly. The front desk and restaurant staff were all very nice. The room was quite large, with a balcony and a great view. The spa costs 25 euros, so be prepared.

If this was once a 4-star hotel, it needs revisited because it isn't any longer. Maintenance is needed everywhere. Most times there was no air conditioning in the main areas of the hotel, just in the room. Every time I entered my room, the lights flicked off and on for at least 10 minutes. Also, it isn't safe as I learned, from mistakenly trying to open the wrong room, that my key opened someone else's door. This is highly unsafe and as a woman traveling alone, this is a big red flag.

Firstly the superior room was decent, but the basic rooms certainly weren't - dark and thin walled. We stayed for a week on full board and the food was poor - at the start of the week there were some OK meals but by the end when the hotel was full it was terrible. Breakfast is basic (nothing hot) and the staff were nice, though the guy who took over serving us in the evening was surly and his main focus seemed to be to get us out by 9pm - the English translations of the menu were often hilarious ('Gurnard with Crazy water' anyone?), so it was often a dodgy voyage of discovery which I'd rather not have taken - I ended up with a plate of salami and raw onion for my last dinner main course.... The spa is pretty small but the pool is Ok. The bar is in a thoroughfare and not manned. There are clearly better more modern 3* hotels and given we will be back to the town I certainly will be going there rather than here!

Low season so there were not many guests. The tiny spa in the hotel was 25 Euro extra for 2hrs. They started heating the sauna and steam room when we asked so they really never got really by the time we had to leave. Book a couple hours before you go and make sure they preheat. Breakfast was minimal basic Italian fare. Room was clean and the cleaning lady was really nice. Front desk was nice depending on who was working. Enjoyed looking at all the artwork on the walls that left me scratching my head.

Very good hotel with parking, good breakfast and dinner. Spa very comfortable. In a cental location not so far from Terme and railroad station Staff very usefull Rate correct for the service I suggest to all travellers.
