From a 1 star hotel you can't expect much, and the photos on booking don't help much, but... For a 1 star hotel it was surprisingly good. Clean rooms, an ac ( pretty old , but it did the job ), clean bathroom ( it was a bathroom per floor ) and cozy beds. I expected less, I got more. Good location with some supermarkets and a subway station nearby. Overall I would give it a deserved 3/5.

Very good value for money. Clean rooms, very friendly staff and good facilities. Great for couples/travellers looking for a cheap hotel in central Milan, also a 15 min walk from the central train station.

Great place if you are looking for accommodation with a cheap budget. Value for price. The room was very clean and they cleaned every day and changed the towels. The service was excellent and it's possible to get a nice morning coffee for only 1 EUR. Great location, great service great price. I really recommend it.

Not the best experience, and would not go back. While the locations is good and the price is also fairly low I would have gone for another hotel and paid some extra. Lessons learned.
When we came back from a long walk they were fixing the AC in the room. Most people would expect another room, but that was not the case.
Beds are hard and only one shared bathroom per floor. The areas is nice and vibrant and close to the central station.

Small, simple hotel about 10-12 minutes on foot from the Milan Central Train station. Our room was very quiet as it faced a courtyard. The room was fairly small but clean. The AC was not working well but it was ok. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Recently went on a study abroad trip with my class. Upon our arrival to Milano, Italia we checked into Hotel Del Sole. Donato keeps this place very clean, he makes THE BEST CAPPUCCHINOS, and the location is close to shopping, gelato, and the metro station (all things very important)! My roomate and I stayed in room 39 which had a balcony and private bathroom (these amenities are optional so if you would like a balcony or private bath you must make sure you book your room accordingly). Our room also had a TV which we did not use (who goes to italy to watch TV anyway) About a 3 minute walk to the metro and shopping and 1 min walk to gelato and appertivo. Very friendly staff, great restaurants close by, overall great place to stay!! Thank you very much Donato when I return to Milan I will be booking with you once again! So very impressed with my stay thank you so much!!

Hotel was expensive. Location was good. Rooms were old. Uncomfortable washroom. But the worst part was that they keep the keys with them whenever you go out. It's a privacy concerning thing for. Whenever i go out they asked me to give them the key

This place is amazing, affordable, clean, amazing shopping and pizza within a few steps away. The best part is they will treat you like family and Donato makes the best cappuccino and even taught me!

Very good place considering the price. Sure, there are places that are in better condition (mostly because the interior is newer) but Hotel del Sole is clean, reliable and the staff has been nothing but nice to us. Ideal place if you’re traveling on a budget!

Super helpful staff, flexible. We arrived earlier but could drop the bags anyway. Helped us to print our tickets, etc.
