A very cozy small hotel, I felt like staying at a friend’s home. The room was spacious, staff was friendly. Best located for exploring Palermo. With a walking distance to the central station and all attractions of the city. Recently renovated.

The hotel is very well located, close to the action but quiet. The staff were very nice and the breakfast excellent. The drawbacks were the air conditioning which was very inconsistent and the smell of sewers in the room which did dispel if the bathroom fan ran continuously.

A little difficult to find but, once you do it’s a decent hotel. It has a small lobby and the rooms are reasonably spacious and very clean. Family vacation Hotel is old and in need of repair and cleaning. Room was clean but evidence of mold above shower head. Mattresses are memory foam with memory beyond useful wear. Breakfast was very disappointing. Location was excellent.

Old property that is very quaint and unique. Perfect for a stay in the heart of the historic district. The staff is VERY friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return!

Room was clean and comfortable. We wanted a one night stay near the train station so this was fine for one night. If we were to spend more nights we may choose accommodations in an another area as it was located on a busy street. The elevator was not working so we had to walk up 70 steps to get to our room.

Marco was pleasant and responsive. I didn't know it was not a standalone hotel though and I arrived in town early so had to wait several hours before I could get access. When I did Marco was accommodating. That was appreciated. He also refunded me because I over paid the guest tax, which was great.

Room was very clean and spacious. The hot tub was fantastic and definitely a nice amenity after a long day of exploring. Building was close to all public transportation and within a short walk to all major Palermo attractions. Would definitely recommend!

We loved how close this was to the train station! We had two rooms across the hall from one another and both were very nice. Very comfortable beds. The host even arranged for a crib for my granddaughter.

Staff at front desk were very helpful and willing to help out with recommendations for food, trips. Housekeeping was prompt. Air conditioning did work but a little noisy but probably shut off from November. Location is certainly an advantage as can walk to most places

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my girlfriend. First, I’d like to mention the negative aspects. The air conditioner kept turning on and off by itself, and no matter what we did, we couldn’t fix it. You might wake up in the middle of the night either sweating or freezing. Really great, central location. Our room was really spacious and the walls were not as thin as in other Sicilian hotels. However, we had a problem with our toilet not flushing that took more than 24 hours to fix. There's a very small lobby and restaurant and they had no computer. You have to climb up and down slanted steps to get to and from the street.

This is a lovely and reasonably priced hotel centrally located in Palermo. The hotel , the room , the staff and the amenities were all wonderful. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely outstanding and their small restaurant was very relaxing and classy. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Very central yet quiet location, easily accessible by car, valet parking for €25 per night, works perfectly. "Old-style" room with carpet, everything a bit worn, thinly soundproof, very good check-in/out.

We only stayed one night at this property on our way through Palermo and it was nice but I wouldn't want to stay much longer. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator and the steps were steep and narrow. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was good for walking to nearby shops and restaurants.

Great location, close to port and shopping and restaurants. Staff is so nice and helpful. There are a lot of steps to get to the rooms and they are a little narrow. The staff helped with bags which was amazing but this is probably not good if you have mobility issues. I highly recommend and would stay again.

I really like the 24-hour front desk here. They are very welcoming and helpful. The room is the best room in this price range. The picture shows the food court which is a 1-minute walk away.

I went a few months ago and my experience was great. The staff was super friendly and the hotel very cozy. The location was perfect, I could walk everywhere.

The room is clean, there is a good air conditioner, the Wi-Fi works. There is a gas water heater in the bathroom, so you won't be able to wash for a long time under a hot shower

This hotel is located in the center of Palermo. The elevator is also old-fashioned and there is no parking. The waiter recommended outdoor parking, which costs a higher fee of 20 euros a night. Breakfast was average.

Basique hôtel room, quite big but noisy (mostly coming from the corridors). Stayed there for a night so it was good and conveniently located

The moment I entered the room I could smell a little bit of cigarette, but when I switch on the aircon, the smell disappeared. The room, the bedsheets and the towels were really clean. The only problem was that I could hear people going in and out the room and it’s super loud. My stay include breakfast, but I think it could do better specially the eggs. One thing about this hotel that i will definitely come back is the location, cleanliness and its right in front of the supermarket . I recommend you to take double room and its so affordable :) . Cute 16th century place. Adequate service very slow and not consistent. Beds not very comfortable so I slept on the couch. Only thing that was nice was the breakfast and surprisingly for an area with some of the best espresso their espresso was disgusting.

It was about a 5-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. It took a while to get to the airport by bus. I was surprised that the building where I checked in was different from the building where I was staying.

Nice place. Luca and Luciano /the guys from the hotel were very kind. Parking in blue zone costs 1 euro per hour from 8 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm. From 2 pm to 4 pm there is no charge.

Spent 4 nights here in March, 2025. We cannot praise the staff enough - they were all excellent. The reception staff on arrival, and throughout were extremely helpful. Whether it was prepping our arrival or helping with onward travel arrangements, nothing was a problem or a chore to them. Parking is a little tricky, and expensive with a larger vehicle (SUV) but convenient and safe. The facility is definitely older, but well kept. The staff was extremely helpful and polite.

The location was perfect for walking about with lots cute little shops and restaurants. The breakfast menu was great with a helpful staff. The hotel iand staff are great. The pubs in the area when they are open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are very loud and even with the windows closed you better be a heavy sleeper or you will have to wait until 5am to get some sleep. Other than that the staff is there when needed breakfast was good.

Beautifully clean room and common area. Conveniently located to great restaurants, fish market and shopping. Excellent staff service and breakfast service for 10£. Very comfortable room. The street side room is above restaurants so noise volumes are a bit louder but i was so tired that it did not keep me up.

The pillows were the most doftiest ever. The rooms were vlean and tidy. The breakfast was nice but It was all the same whole week. I would have liked to have fresh fruits and juice. The personal was nice and polite.

Tastefully and modernly furnished accommodation with outdoor shower comes along with very nice owners and a beautiful and lively beach within walking distance. Questions were answered via Whats App quickly at any time. Yoghurt, tea and coffee could be consumed around the clock. Overall, we felt very comfortable in the accommodation.

I arrived late at night despite that the rooms were available on Booking.com the receptionist insisted that he has no rooms available but the one for disabled ! He was very aggressive and I was intimidated by him. He was very upset when I showed him that there were two standard rooms available at booking.com one of which I booked . I could not get his name . This property could be fantastic with a bit of work/repairs. I can live with a few tiles missing in the shower and bathroom but what cause my low review was the lack of air conditioning. They turn it off in the cooler months for the whole building! Amazing experience at Albergo Mediterraneo. Right in the heart of Palermo, everything is close by. Big room and great breakfast. I recommend this place and I will come back next time I'll be visiting Palermo.

Showing signs of age This must've been an awesome property when it opened 10 years ago, but it is not the same as it once was. The walls are dirty in some places, some of the gaps between the tiles are discolored, the cracks are starting to appear in the shower floor. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the train station in mostly quiet residential area. The breakfast is not included but well worth the price. Be sure to order the evening before. Together with other colleagues we stayed in this hotel near the University of Palermo. It is a family-run hotel and the staff was very helpful and welcoming, making our stay pleasant.
